This hotel is fine as a base for exploring Vienna with a good location in Innerstadt (walkable to shops, restaurants, the cathedral, the palace etc). However it had far more of a budget feel to it than we expected. Very low quality towels, toiletries etc, a very basic room with minimal facilities, and the “bar” downstairs is just a couple of stools in the corner of the lobby. Not a hotel you would want to spend much time in other than sleeping!

Comfortable bed and pillows. Lots of space in the room with plenty of hangers and a large window overlooking the park. I liked having a robe and slippers provided and the gym was adequate. I would have appreciated free Nespresso from the lobby instead of having to pay over $4 American dollars, otherwise nice hotel and nice area.

On est loin de l'hôtel de luxe ... 1 ascenseur sur 2 en panne durant tout notre séjour. Chambre 607 sous les toits et mansardée. Velux non ouvrant donc pas d'aération. Climatisation très faible. Pas de rideau occultant complet sur le velux. L'hôtel doit être totalement rénové en 2025. Il en a bien besoin.

The hotel did what it needed to and the staff was nice. The best part is the location. 10 minute walk to St Stephen’s Cathedral which is basically the city center. It’s also 5 minutes from the Danube. There’s a cafe next door that doesn’t open til after lunch but there is breakfast at the hotel. There is 2 grocery stores 2 minutes walking from the hotel as well. The location was safe and the hotel looks better than the pics do.

The K K Palais Hotel, Vienna is situated in a quiet area of the city about 10 minutes from the centre. We felt very safe walking back there late in the evening and there was a local supermarket very close by, if needed. The hotel was clean and offered a good selection of drinks at the bar and for the buffet breakfast, which was reasonably priced. Our twin room was very clean and serviced daily with clean towels, complimentary water and tea/coffee etc. The room, on the 6th floor, was quiet and accessible by 2 reliable lifts and all communal areas were clean with a working cash machine in the lobby and computer access if needed. Although we didn't have much contact with the front desk staff, except for checking in and out, we did ask for assistance getting a taxi and this was dealt with efficiently but time to destination and cost wasn't able to be got from the taxi firm for us. Overall we had a pleasant stay and would consider staying here in the future. Vienna is such a beautiful city :)

Room was large and clean with a beautiful huge window that let in a lot of light and had a great view. The hotel is located right off the main areas so it is quiet, but you are a quick walk to all of the restaurants, museums, and shops. Staff was friendly and helpful. if you are driving, there is on-site parking available (although it is limited) and an off-site parking garage.

We got 4 rooms in the 6th floor - top floor. We only had windows above 5 ft so we really couldn't see anything except sky. Carpets were dirty looking.

This is a lovely hotel conveniently located in the centre of Vienna within a short walk of shops, restaurants, local transport and places of interest. We were in room 107 on the first floor. The room was a reasonable size and had a large picture window with a view of the square in front of the hotel. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were spotlessly clean as was the hotel itself. I should also mention that Vienna itself is also spotlessly clean - it puts my own home city (London) to shame! Decent wi-fi available in the room and a good selection of foods available at breakfast where the ‘breakfast ladies’ did a great job of making sure everything ran smoothly. All staff were friendly and helpful. Although there were a couple of very minor issues during our stay these did not detract from our overall impression of the hotel and I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a nice place to stay in the centre of Vienna.

Hôtel très calme, chambre confortable et propre. Par contre il y fait très chaud et nous étions a l’étage 6 avec un velux. Très bien situé a proximité des rues commerçantes,du centre, d'une station métro et tram et de l’arrêt bus touristique. Très bon petit déjeuner et varié. Par contre le hall est froid sans salon d'attente juste un bar. Personnel souriant et serviable. Bon choix pour visiter Vienne a pied et bus touristique

I arrived at the hotel this afternoon and the check-in process was seamless. However, we were assigned a room on the 6th floor, which is an attic, so the rooms are and feel small. Additionally, the room had an unpleasant moldy odor and a tiny window. I've stayed at this hotel in the past and found rooms on different floors to be more pleasant. Good location but our room was too small to open a suite case other than putting it on the bed. Front desk was attentive but they were covering for at least one other hotel and not always available. Shower required a contortionist to use.

I got a mansard room on the 6th floor that had a window that was more like a skylight under a ceiling with a view of some roof and sky. It was hard to understand the weather, kind of claustrophobic, and impossible to close the shades to avoid bright light streaming in. I woke up at 5am every morning because of the light. Was told the change was only possible the following day after 3pm to a room with an inner yard view of roofs and it was a logistical nightmare to move due to our full schedule in Vienna. My advice - request a room not on the top floor. Hotel was walking distance to all major sights but outside of the central pedestrian area, about 20 min walk to most sights.

The rooms were not as advertised. Male staff were helpful but one particular female staff was extremely unhelpful and rude. The location is wonderful and appearance of the outside and front entrance of the hotel is nice.

Hotel is located in a quieter area, just a block away from noise. Hotel is clean and well kept. Drapes and mattress are aged a bit, but altogether a good room. My only issue was at front desk. On Sunday night I asked front desk how late I could check out, he said 2 pm. When I verified in morning, manager said she would need to charge me 25 euros, and would not back down, and would not contact agent. This is the reason for 2 star rating for the staff. When a manager does not backup their agent, is cause for concern. If there was a cost agent should have stated it.

We were welcomed by a nice gentleman who listened to our complaint about being charged 40Euro for a trip from the train station, which should have cost 18 or 20 euro! Being ripped off by a taxi driver when you just arrive in a city can be off-putting, but the gentleman at reception shared our displeasure and assured us we could have a nice stay at K & K, which we did!

We enjoyed our stay in this quiet part of Vienna’s Inner City. Our room had a view of the park (Rudolfsplatz). The hotel had an excellent breakfast bar, and the service was attentive and friendly. Several good restaurants , bakeries, and even grocery stores are nearby. The hotel is within easy walking distance from Hofburg, the Stephansdom, and other attractions, and the big shopping streets. There are also excellent boutiques and a sporting store nearby. We highly recommend the hotel!

Närhet till mängder av bra restauranger och endast 15 min promenad från flygplatståget CAT station. Bor absolut där nästa gång!

The hotel has an amazing location- 7 minutes walk to St. Stephan and historical center, close to metro, pubs and restaurants, grocery stores. Stuff was friendly and available 24/7 that was good for nightly check-out. We haven’t ordered breakfast, cleaning service was great.

Bar area and reception could do with being a bit more inviting, no where to sit when arriving or departing, but really good location, lovely staff & clean and tidy , breakfast was nice too.

Great breakfast buffet! The ladies who take care of the breakfast area are lovely (especially Rosa María). Short walk to metro and tram stops. Easy walk to St. Stephan's and other sites. Great restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Steps from Hofer (Aldi) and Billa (market). Across the street from a nice park. Just 2 things: if you request taxi service, make absolutely certain that it's been recorded, and if you request twin beds, that doesn't mean the beds won't be right next to each other, thus forming one queen/king bed. And if you're a die-hard washcloth user, bring your own. In summary, we would stay here again if we're fortunate enough to return to Vienna.
