The beginning of our stay was sadly marred by construction to the front entrance of the hotel. Our room was right at the front beside the construction. We were woken up at 7am when construction started and it went most of the day. The noise and vibration was loud. We spoke to the staff and our second day was much better. They didn't start the work until later in the morning. Staff are amazing. Room was spotless. Public spaces are comfortable and the morning coffee was fantastic. Location was perfect for Blue Jays games, restaurants, public transit and ultimately the UP train to the airport. Would stay again!

Overall everything was good. It was a short walk from the Union station. The check in and out was quick. Rooms were clean and like their water fill stations option. The only things would be no coffee, just tea bags and our window was across to another room so need to make the blinds were lowered. The a/c / heater was loud when it was on but was able sleep over the noise.

This property is almost directly across the street from union station. I was traveling alone & on a late flight. I felt safe walking the 150m my phone said the walk to the hotel was at almost midnight. The staff was really friendly. The interior is modern & new. The rooms are small, but it was perfect for just me. I was attending a conference at the convention center which was only 400m walk from hotel. I did have breakfast at the hotel twice. The banana bread French toast with fresh berries is delightful! I also used the gym once. It’s small but has a couple treadmills, a bike, an elliptical, a weight bench with free weights, kettle bells, resistance bands & a couple yoga mats. Not bad for a small hotel.

The staff are polite and the room is very clean. It calme its exactly what i was looking for. Its near to union station, near stop for tramways, also restaurant. Even they don't have parking, but there one near.

I had a trip to stay there for Canfitpro. The room was not very clean and the hallway smelled like cigarettes. My bath towel had a long black hair on it when I unfolded the towel. There was also a short black hair on another towel. The plus was the location where it was comvenient to walk everywhere. Tbh, I am a little disappointed in my stay and I am giving a bad review to this hotel to my colleagues for this conference.

Disappointing Stay When we arrived, the first thing we noticed was that the bedding was not clean—there were visible makeup stains on both the pillow and sheet. The coffee station in the room was also unclean. Noise was a constant issue during our stay. The walls are very thin, and we could clearly hear conversations from the next room, especially through the bathroom. Construction both outside and inside the building made it even louder and difficult to relax. Security was another concern, as anyone could access the elevators without using a key card. This made the building feel unsafe. We tried contacting the front desk several times by phone, but they never answered. It was quicker to go down to the lobby in person to get help. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and the hotel did not meet the standards we expected.

Had an awesome stay at Union Hotel in Toronto. The place has a cool, modern vibe and is super convenient, right by Union Station and just steps from the financial district. The gym was awesome. It had everything I needed for a solid workout. Loved the coffee shop downstairs and the lobby was perfect for quick business chats or grabbing a drink. Only downside was cleanliness. The gym floor had sweat drops all over it, and my room had a few missed spots (some hairs in the shower and dried spills on the floor). Other than that, fantastic hotel. Would definitely stay again!

Good hotel stay. Clean, convenient location, confortable. Recently renovated. Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper as the downtown street noise cam be heard. Not thr best for a work trip as no desk or chair in the room to work on (maybe my fault as I assumed there would be) but if you don't need that its a great choice.

Very nice modern hotel, with a great lobby bar and good menu. The only glaring problem is that the rooms have zero sound proofing. I could hear my neighbour sneezing. So, sadly I won't be returning, which is a shame as it's a nice place.

The rooms were small, but extremely clean and the bed was perfect. The room becomes blackout dark, except for the amount of light that comes in from around the whole door. It didn't bother me, but it might bother someone that has issues sleeping.

The vibe and the decor are top shelf. The room, although on the smaller side, was well designed and equipped. Our only concern was the heater/cooling unit was excessively loud. It clicked on and off every 15mins making for a restless sleep.

Staff is polite and professional but the service was long at the reception (check in and and check out, all is made manually). Rooms are well decorated but very small, not really practical. It’s really noisy, I barely slept. The AC/heater was extremely noisy and we could hear a lot of noise from outside. In other words, if you want to get some rest, Union Hotel is not the best pick. This is disappointing because this hotel is very well located.

Very convenient location for the UP service and for the downtown core. Lots to do within very easy walking distance. The staff at the Union are knowledgeable and friendly: this has become our go-to hotel when travelling to Toronto.

What a great find! The vibe is wonderful right from the time you enter the lobby with the lovely, contemporary lounge (serving excellent breakfast and coffee in the morning and cocktails at night), to the well-appointed, clean rooms. And Jonas and his colleagues at the front desk provided exceptional service making this our new fave go to in Toronto! And you can't beat the location if downtown T.O. is where you want to be.

Location was excellent for our stay in this hotel. Just a short level walk with suitcases to Union station, 5 mins. Room was small but well appointed with everything a traveller needs. Great staff, very clean rooms and excellent cafe down stairs for simple breakfast, lunch, dinner or relaxing drink. This place had a very relaxing, easy vibe!

The location is great, just a few minutes walk from Union Station, where the UP Airport Express train arrives and where the subway station is. The room was updated but very small with only one tiny chair that we had to use as a suitcase rack. Staff was friendly and the Hungry Donkey cafe/bar in the lobby was very good for a quick bite and more affordable than some nearby restaurants. There’s also a convenience store and Tim Hortons just across the street.

I enjoyed my stay at the Union Hotel and was in a great location to get around to multiple locations. Checkin was easy, the hotel was very clean, and the staff were really friendly. You have the train station and underground nearby for easy transportation options which made my journey to events easy. What a gem of a place in downtown Toronto! Has a boutique hotel feel but lots of rooms. The lobby is gorgeous and modern. The check-in staff was very helpful and let us get in early. The restaurant/bar onsite was great too!
