Staff was good, friendly, booked town car to airport promptly. Overall staff and booking experience was good. Room was clean but was very small. Value is good considering location near trains, ball park, basketball etc., but we would not stay here if a location close to Union Station and Roger’s Centre is not important as there are nicer hotels for same or lower cost a little further away but still walking distance.

Clean and renovated. But did the budget run out early? Good aesthetics, bad ergonomics. The noise is unmanageable: a roaring AC requires earplugs and max TV volume, while missing door sweeps let every hallway sound bleed in. Staff responsive with earplugs but unsurprised.

I stayed here many many years ago when it was the Strathcona and I can tell you that it has improved 1000%. Everything about the hotel and all the little touches are amazing. I love the raccoon mascot and all the different ways that the raccoon is incorporated around the property, including the graffiti on the side of the building. The beds and pillows were comfortable, the layout of the room was well designed for a small space and the café downstairs was great. The location is incredibly convenient and I would definitely stay here again.
