Superior room was excellent. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Underground parking was great due to the immense rain and we were on a motorbike. Breakfast had plentiful choices and good quality food. We were very disappointed that the advertised restaurant is not working, which meant walking in the rain to local eateries. This is why we usually book places with restaurants, so they need to change this on their post to be more truthful.

Wir waren für 3 Nächte, wurden sehr nett empfangen, erhielten einen kleinen Bonus für unseren sehr kleinen Hund, das Zimmer schön und geräumig, das Frühstück war sehr gut und für jeden etwas dabei, die Auswahl okay auch mit herzhaftem, der Saunabereich ist klein mit nur 2 Liegen, die Sauna wurde auch noch abends für uns aufgeheizt wobei die Handtücher vergriffen waren, auch eine Uhr und evtl etwas zu trinken wäre schön gewesen ... aber Kritik auf hohem Niveau ... zu unserer Schnäppchenbuchung und guter Stadtnähe (20 min zu Fuß) gerne wieder!

The room was lovely but there was no chest of drawers to unpack for our 3-night stay. We were on the top floor and it was so hard to sleep at night and get ready each day because we were so hot! The air conditioner just could not cool the room down! The breakfast buffet was very good. We thought that it had a restaurant to enjoy in the evening, but it did not.

Our stay at this hotel was actually not bad in any way, I would just say there are a few things that have been overlooked as the hotel has aged. The rooms were spacious, however they obviously had not been maintenanced in a while (i.e. paint and fixing any little wear and tear from frequent use). Rooms were clean and staff were friendly and kind. Very convenient 7 minute walk into the city center or the front desk can set you up with free tram service with the public transit system which I thought was exceptionally kind! We opted to walk and it was quite nice being able to see the views on our way into town. Breakfast was mid at best, I only tried it one morning and quickly realized it was not worth the 20+ euros. It is conveniently located next to a clean petrol station that we were able to pick up waters, juice, and snacks from. The gym had 4 machines and some weights but the treadmill was down. We didn't try the sauna based on the status on the hotel maintenance. All in all. A solid stay that may be slightly overpriced for the current state of the hotel, but with some refreshing it could be back up to it's original status.

Our room was spacious and quiet with a view overlooking the hills at the back. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the sauna - perfect after a cold days sightseeing. Overall our stay was lovely and the hotel was perfectly placed for walking to the Old town.

This is a very pleasant hotel about 6 bus stops from the main station. 10 minutes walk to the old town and one or two good bars and restaurants not far from hotel. Large reception area and reception staff were polite, and knowledgeable about the area. Good-sized clean and comfortable room in line with hotels of group we have stayed in previously. Good variety of food at breakfast in pleasant room. I would have marked higher but there are works being undertaken at the hotel with no bar facility being offered, and smell of paint in certain areas. This is obviously only temporary and we would stay here again.

Haare von Vornutzung lagen herum, Gläser im Bad waren verschmutzt. TV Fernbedienung war nicht auffindbar, so dass Ersatz an der Rezeption beschafft werden musste.

Nur 1 Person an der Rezeption obwohl 5 Leute gewartet haben. Das erste Zimmer war schmutzig. Im Bad Wasserflecken an der Tür, in der Dusche war etwas am Boden festgeklebt, neben dem Waschbecken (wahrscheinlich) Zahnpastaspuren. Haare auf dem Boden und der Garderobe, Staub auf den Tischen neben dem Bett. An der Rezeption bemängelt, neues Zimmer bekommen, wesentlich besser aber leider nicht so wie ich es mir von einem dieser Klasse erwarte. Frühstück ist so in Ordnung. Einfachstes Brot, Brötchen der einfachsten Art. Zumindest die Croissants waren gut. Leider gab es nur Äpfel als frisches Obst. Der Rest kommt aus der Dose. Für 1 Nacht in Ordnung wenn man einen guten Deal beim Preis macht.

Einigermaßen zentral gelegen (Altstadt zu Fuß 20-25 Minuten entfernt), gutes Frühstücksbuffet, insgesamt in einem wirklich guten Zustand, tolle Sauna. Leider war der Teppichboden im Zimmer nicht sauber (ich weiß, dass vor mir jemand mit langen blonden Haaren in dem Zimmer war, ohne die Person gesehen zu haben). Leider war mein Zimmer nicht rechtzeitig zum Check-In fertig, obwohl Check-In um 15 Uhr ist und ich sogar erst gegen 15:45 Uhr im Hotel war. Nur mit Gemeckere meinerseits und Wartezeit wurde dann ein anderes Zimmer gefunden. Leider war es auch nicht möglich das Zimmer am Abreisetag eine Stunde länger als 12 Uhr zum Check-Out zu behalten. Trotz dieser Unannehmlichkeiten ist das Personal aber jederzeit höflich geblieben, das ist mir wichtig zu betonen.

Kritikpunkte: Begrüssung zum Frühstück fängt mit: welche Zimmernummer statt guten Morgen und in 10 Minuten machen wir zu. Die Matratzen sind zu weich, ma wacht mit Rückenschmerzen Dusche hat an den Ecken paar Pilze präsentiert.

Not close to any of the main attractions. Dirty marks on walls. I had to change rooms as the first room had terrible curtains that did not completely cover the window so the neon lights from the BP and the Nightclub next door shone through all the gaps so i couldn't sleep. I complained at 7am and returned at 3pm to find they had not bothered to look into it in those 8 hours.

Great hotel 15 min walk from all the action. Friendly service and onsite bar in an open setting. A/C was unable to cool my room down so nights were not very comfortable. I tried two rooms and same issue so beware if you visit during warm weather.

Our room was clean and nice. Bathroom nicely renovated. The Door is crap, lights shining through gaps and you can hear every little noise out of the corridor. Windows cant cancel the street noises. If you are lucky with your neighbours and a good sleeper, this will work out.

Good property, all public transit is like. 7min walk so it isn’t great for that. We hit the heat of the summer, so AC was important. It existed, but it wouldn’t ever really cool enough to stop us from being uncomfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was very clean

We were satisfied with our stay despite some quirks. We had a large junior suite for our family of three. The space was large and comfortable, although the purple Mozart-inspired interior of the room felt a tad outdated. The location was walkable to anything we needed and the staff were helpful and efficient. The oddest aspect to our stay was that we were on the east side of the building and the adjacent food truck courtyard turned into a nightclub on the weekend. LED lights projected on walls and thumping music. We set our white noise app to full blast and went on our merry way but the disruption did persis until 1:30am. I would stay here again but felt that the value was reduced by this neighboring business.

Staff was friendly enough but tune properrty seems a bit run down and there was no AC in both rooms we tried. Thankfully we could open larger windows in the second room they put us in and it wasnt hot out.

The hotel was good, would've been great if not for a couple of hiccups. We had 2 rooms, and in one of them AC was virtually non-existent, and in the other the shower drain wasnt really draining and water ended up all over the bathroom floor. We brought it up to the front desk's attention, but it never got resolved in the 3 days we stayed. Otherwise, great location, clean, comfortable, spacious.

Sehr freundliches Personal, Zimmer sauber und gut eingerichtet (kleiner Kühlschrank) Bad, Möbel und Bett in gutem Zustand, die Wände könnten allerdings einen neuen Anstrich vertragen, die Hauptstraße hört man etwas, Nichts was einen Städter groß stört. Frühstücksbuffet gut und ausreichend. Die Lage ist jetzt von der Umgebung usw. nicht die allerbeste (aber da liegen so klassische Hotel eben, gegenüber auch das Holiday Inn), man kommt aber zu Fuß in ca. 15min in die Linzer Gasse (von dort natürlich auch weiter zur Getreidegasse usw.) und auch zum Schloss Mirabell sind es 10-15min zu Fuß, im Gegensatz zu den Hotels die näher an der Altstadt sind, gibt es hier eine hauseigene Tiefgarage (18€ pro Nacht) die ist Gold wert, man kann auch mit dem Aufzug direkt hochfahren, kommt mit dem Auto von dort natürlich auch überall gut hin. Ich habe über Expedia einen guten Preis bekommen, von daher absolut zu empfehlen für die ein oder andere Nacht um Salzburg und Umgebung zu erkunden.

This was my first time to stay with a Dorint Hotel and I will say it is not on my list of returning to this one. Location was super convenient with public transportation. Rooms were clean and spacious. The lobby and bar were welcoming. A bonus was the water refill cooler with Mint leaves flavoring the water. Thank you for the extra touch!

The Dorint was an excellent stay. We arrived very late after a long day of travel. The computer system at the hotel was crashed and our reservation was not in the computer and no room was available. The night clerk, named Morez, was tireless and utterly dedicated in making certain we had a place to stay. After much effort, he secured our room. He seemed as happy and relieved as we were with the outcome. We can’t say enough good about how he handled a really difficult evening for him and us. The rest of the stay was simply flawless and I would not hesitate to stay there again just based upon the unfailingly pleasant staff and the clean and comfortable accommodations.

The people working at this hotel really make this hotel. They were friendly, polite, and professional. Our room was clean and the breakfast had a wide selection of food which was nice. It is roughly a 10-15 minute walk to the pedestrian shopping zone, and another 10-15 minute walk to the Altstadt. You can take a bus or taxi if you rather ride than walk. The hotel does have a secure parking garage if you are driving. We drove and walked into Salzburg from the hotel and found both options fairly easy. The walk wasn’t bad and parking was easy everywhere we went. The hotel was nice but the bedding and towels were just okay. Overall we enjoyed our stay and I would consider staying here again.

Lovely hotel, but a bit of a walk (or short bus journey) into the centre & the old town. Our only complaint was the breakfast. It’s advertised as open until 10am week days and 11am at weekends. However when we went for breakfast around 9:15 and 10am at the weekend all the hot food was cold as the hot plates had been turned off. Also, they didn’t seem to have a supply of basic stuff to replenish plates. If the pastries had run out by 9:15 it was too bad, no more available.

Friendly staff on reception and in the bar. Room we had was very clean and incredibly spacious. Sound proof windows and black out curtains were appreciated. Although slightly out of the centre, it is walkable and there are plenty of buses. Would stay here again if we visit Salzburg in the future.

About 15 mins walk from the river but it is in really safe and clean area. Close to the train station which is one of the reasons we choose it. Rooms all good and clean and the staff were very helpful. No problems or issues to report and would happily recommend
