This hotel was just across the street from the famous Mirabelle Gardens and two blocks from the pickup point for our "Sound of Music" tour. The hotel chain also owns a very good and cozy restaurant named Pitterkeller a short walk down the street. We ate there twice. All the staff were helpful and polite. It was a little warm in our room at first since the A/C is usually not turned on in the hotel until the first of May. When we asked, they decided to turn it on early (for us, I presume). That is customer service!

Great location near Mirabell Gardens. Within 11-15 min walking of everything we would want to do in Salzburg. Hotel is a bit older - rooms are narrow and carpeted. Would have preferred additional pillows as the ones they have are very thing. Water pressure is excellent and shower gets very hot. Appreciated the complimentary water in the room. The AC unit was also very effective, it would be so nice in summer! Front desk staff very friendly and always available. Definitely recommend.

This property is a historic hotel and, as such, has some of the downsides to staying in an old building. Our room was a little musty, but it was very clean. There were nice amenities like electric shutters to keep out the light and noise, and the AC worked very well. The bed was comfortable. This hotel is on the other side of the river from the old city, that was very convenient and close to walk. We also chose it because we had a car and there’s very close by parking. The hotel gives a substantial discount for this garage. I would stay here again. It is not luxurious, but it was more than adequate for our needs. .

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral und unser Auto konnten wir zu einem günstigeren Tarif in der Parkgarage um die Ecke einstellen. Das Zimmer war ausreichend groß, hell und supersauber. Der Check-in war unkompliziert und sehr freundlich. Ganz besonders hervorzuheben ist das fantastische Frühstücksbuffet, liebevoll präsentiert und es gibt alles was das Herz begehrt. Die Damen vom Frühstücksservice waren unfassbar herzlich, großartig! Das Hotel können wir nur empfehlen, jederzeit wieder gern, wenn wir in Salzburg sind.

I cannot say enough about the fabulous staff at this hotel. The front desk people were so kind and helpful. Great location. My only complaint was that our room was hot last night; we had to keep the window open a crack and were awakened constantly by the late night crowd. Otherwise I can’t recommend enough.

We felt the hotel was quite lovely but did feel that the front desk staff was lacking in their knowledge of general information that tourists normally require…transportation guidance, restaurant locations etc. We understand that this is not the primary focus for front desk staff but a more thorough knowledge of basic information that guests would ask about would increase the quality of the hotel.

Our stay at the Hotel am Mirabellplatz was great. It was close to everything we wanted to see in Salzburg and the staff at the front desk gave us a wonderful recommendation for a great restaurant nearby (Johannes Keller.) We will gladly stay here again if we are in the area.

The very friendly and professional staff made this stay very special! Nothing was too much trouble. The sincere smiles and helpful attitudes show this property's team to be amongst the best. From the front desk staff to the breakfast buffet staff, these folks were the the most awesome personable people you ever want to meet and inteact with. Great A/C too! I would highly recommend.

Location was perfect - we were close to the public bus, the tour bus for the Sound of Music tour, casual dining, and the neighborhood felt safe. We were a short walk to the river and better shopping. After crossing the river, it was a short walk to get to old town which allowed us to see the area. The beds were comfortable, and I appreciate the set up for 3 of us - we had a king bed, a twin bed + a couch in our room. The bathroom was a little tight, but it was sufficient. The hotel and room were clean, but it was evident that it is an older hotel. Breakfast, which was not free, was good but had more traditional foods. Staff was very friendly and accomodating.

Excellent location, wonderful staff. Short bus ride from the train station. Bus stop just steps away from the hotel. Close to Mirabell Gardens and an easy walk to other points of interest. About a 20 minute bus ride to Hellbrunn Palace. Lovely breakfast buffet. Free luggage storage. Would absolutely stay here again.

The hotel is centrally located across from Mirabell Palace and a short walk to Old Town where Mozart’s birthplace is and a wonderful shopping area. We attended a Mozart dinner concert at the Fortress which overlooks Old Town. This was excellent. We took a taxi from the hotel and a funicular to complete the ascent. Returning we were able to easily walk back to our hotel. The hotel was clean and staff courteous and very helpful on getting around the area including complementary bus passes. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is in a great location opposite the Mirabell Gardens and superb public transport is outside too with a direct service to and from the airport (bus no 2). The reception and breakfast staff are amazing and the Gluewien in the cafe is the best in Salzburg- we did extensive testing! The breakfast set us up for the day and was very good. All tastes are catered for with fresh eggs available to order. Some might say the room is small however it is more than adequate with big bed (extra pillows from reception) 2 chairs to and shower in the bathroom. It is not a modern character less hotel like a Travelodge or Premier Inn etc. there are fast food places nearby or wander for 5-10 minutes for great restaurants. Overall highly recommended.

Really good old style hotel. We enjoyed the look and location of the hotel. The staff were very kind and helpful. It was close to everything. Our only complaints were that breakfast was very expensive and that you may as well walk a few minutes and get it elsewhere. Additionally, the walls were extremely thin.

Väldigt trevlig och hjälpsam personal i receptionen. Rummet var riktigt bra. Sängkläderna var av bästa kvalitet. Frukosten ingick inte och eftersom den var så dyr (25 euro/person) så åt vi inte på hotellet. Receptionen tipsade oss om ett ställe tvärs över gatan som hade ett mycket bra utbud med smörgåsar, yoghurt, kaffe och juice. Hotellet ligger nära Mirabellträdgården och nära bussturerna ”Sound of Music”. Väldigt nära även till Mozarts hus.
