Very comfortable hotel, friendly helpful staff , excellent breakfast, good location near bus stop. Parking was difficult. No outdoor spaces were free , so we had to pay extra for the priviledge of using the garage . The narrow exit and acute angle of the ramp made it very difficult to exit . If you have a slightky bigger than usual car ( we have a Mercedes ) i would advise against using the garage

Great stay. Walkable to city center and dinner options. I was able to use the gym. There were free weight options that are a bit lighter. And the weight machine was broken but both my husband and I were able to use the facility.

Worst Holiday Inn I’ve been to. The tub had all sorts of mold growing around the edges. The shower head was broken and barely hanging on. Went to the restaurant to order dessert but they closed all service for guests to accommodate a tour group’s private dinner, I couldn’t even get a bottled beer from the front desk staff even though the beer fridge always a few feet away. The thermostat doesn’t seem to work and it has no readings either. Then on our last night there the hot water went out in the whole building and still wasn’t working the next morning either!

First, I found the parking system to be poorly managed. While there is a parking garage and a limited number of spaces at street level, I observed that many cars parked at street level could have easily fit into the parking garage. This would have allowed taller vehicles, which cannot enter the garage, to park at street level. It was particularly frustrating when I was directed to a parking garage at the opposite end of town, despite informming you that my car was too tall to park there. This lack of guidance and communication about parking options led to unnecessary confusion. Secondly, I noticed an issue with the coordination between the cleaning staff and the front desk. We had 3 rooms and housekeeping knocked on doors well before the official check-out time, which I found disruptive. It seems there may be a breakdown in communication between the front desk and the cleaning staff regarding room availability. A more collaborative approach could easily resolve this issue, ensuring guests are not disturbed prematurely.

Very clean. Superb staff. Close to public transport. 1km from Xmas markets. Breakfast offered at €21 per person. On site parking at €20 per day. Limited facilities available during our stay but staff were absolutely lovely.

Location was good if you had a car as they have parking you can pay for. They are poorly organized when it comes to check in and not all staff are friendly or helpful. Coming from some hotels who were extremely kind and accommodating it just feels like they missed the mark.

Dieses Hotel empfehle ich nicht. Im Vorfeld gab es schon Probleme, da eine Dame meine recht einfache Anfrage am Telefon nicht beantworten konnte und mich abwimmelnd bat, dies per Email zu erfragen. Auf meine Email erfolgte allerdings keine Antwort. Erst beim nächsten Anruf hatte ich einen sehr netten Herren am Telefon, der mir unverzüglich weiterhalf. Das Hotel selbst ist nicht sonderlich gemütlich. Das Bad war total verschimmelt, die Türklinke war kaputt, die Bettwäsche eklig fleckig und die Einrichtung abgenutzt. Die Handtücher waren alle total winzig. Aus dem Abfluss am Boden im Bad hat es auf einmal furchtbar gestunken und man musste die Tür geschlossen halten. Auf dem Flur roch es nach Zigaretten. Das Gute aber waren die wirklich sehr netten Rezeptionisten und die Dove Pflegeprodukte.

Die Unterkunft war gut gelegen und das Frühstück war sehr gut. Zu bemängeln ist die Hellhörigkeit in den Zimmern und auch der Zustand (Schimmel im Bad, abgeplatzte Farbe an der Decke, nicht funktionierende Lampen). In Summe für zwei Übernachtungen dennoch in Ordnung.

Minha estadia no Holiday Inn Salzburg City foi bastante decepcionante. Embora o café da manhã e o atendimento tenham sido pontos positivos, a experiência geral foi bastante negativa. O principal problema foi a falta de manutenção do quarto. O ar condicionado, ao ser ligado, começou a vazar água, o que já foi um incômodo considerável. O pior foi que, mesmo com o ar desligado durante a noite, a água continuou a vazar, causando desconforto. Além disso, o banheiro estava em péssimas condições. Havia mofo visível, e a proteção do box era ineficaz, resultando em um banheiro completamente molhado após cada banho. Essa situação tornou a experiência ainda mais desagradável e impraticável. Em resumo, apesar dos pontos positivos relacionados ao café da manhã e ao atendimento, a falta de manutenção e os problemas com o banheiro tornaram minha estadia no Holiday Inn Salzburg City muito insatisfatória. It was a nice and clean hotel. The only downside was that we asked one day of cleaning during our 3 day stay. We only received new towels, but the cleaning lady didn’t renew the bodywash that was empty. We left the dispenser open without the pump so it was clearly visible and she didn’t vacuum. If you clean you should check everything. Other than that it was a nice hotel on a good location on a 10 minute walking distance of the city Centre, train station and the old town.

You don't expect much when you book a Holiday Inn, but the least you can expect is a clean room. My wife and I spent 3 nights at this hotel and we are non-smokers, and there were 2 counters full of cigarette butts on the terrace and since it was Christmas Eve I believe that even though we asked for them to be removed as soon as we arrived they were still there when we left...
You don't expect much when you book a Holiday Inn, but the least you can expect is a clean room. We didn't receive a friendly welcome from the Staff lady, who said she didn't have any booking under our name. Another lady had to come and look for it until she found it. In February it's still winter, so the hotel has central heating and it's not possible to regulate the temperature in the room. Ours was extremely HOT. We had to open the windows and sleep with the noise from the street. Rooms are not cleaned, unless you ask for it. Front Desk was always busy and the ladies who clean didn't do it even when we asked them personally. The only fairly good about this hotel is the breakfast.

Holiday inn Salzburg is just off city centre on a quiet stretch of road but not badly located as you can walk to most places or get the bus. There are local convenience shops & restaurants so overall the location is ok. I requested a high floor when booked and was acknowledged by the hotel but did not get one. Instead got 1st floor which not only had a communal terrace/balcony but the view was terrible. The terrace could do with some cleaning & maintenance. Outside the rooms is a large open corridor which echos but also the hotel has placed communal tables & chairs which attracts guest to sit outside the room & were noisy. The doors slam which is annoying as well, in general the hotel is noisy. The rooms are clean & comfortable enough but they do not get serviced unless requested, this wasn't clear, by the time we realised it was too late. The air conditioning did not work or the bathroom extractor fan. The main redemption is the buffet breakfast which is excellent since ours was included in our booking. Lots of choice & everything you need to fill you up for the start of the day. The staff are very good also, very polite & helpful. One evening we ordered a Nockerl dessert from the restaurant, was quoted 20 minutes wait but took over an hour. Was completely overcooked, sunken & tasteless so this was really disappointing but the waiter knew & removed this from our bill. I would actually stay here again if i could ensure a decent room as the value was good.

This property was a terrible representation of Holiday Inn. The rooms were incredibly hot with very poor air conditioning. Not as advertised. We changed rooms and the second one was not clean. The bathroom had hairs in it and mold in it that Had never been really scrub clean. The furniture was old and tired with lots of scratches shelving that came unhooked. We would never ever stay there again or recommend it to anyone.

Eigentlich ist es sehr gutes Hotel mit dem freundlichen Personal. Wir hatten ein Problem, da unser Zimmer auf dem 1. Stock gerade nach dem Restaurant lag, wo ab 6:30Uhr morgens die Frühstück beginnt und die eigentlich entspannte Lounge-Musik unser Schlaf mit den tieferen Vibrationen störte. Wir haben das Zimmer ohne Komplikationen gewechselt. Also, der Service finde ich deswegen Top.

The staff were incompetent, 1. They assigned us a room that someone was already in, 2. The 2nd room smelled like stale cigarettes and the door didn’t open properly 3. The 3rd room, the blind was broken in the down position, this got us a 20% discount on the room 4. The staff apparently didn’t have the powers to split the bill payment 50/50 as they didn’t know how to do it and the manager was new and apparently didn’t have the power to do it.

Hotel was clean and close to transportation (Number 2 bus) that took you to main tourist area of Salzberg called Mirabell Schloss. Aldstadt was a short walk from Mirabell Schloss. Hotel was old and not completely updated. Temperature in the room was cold and you could tell that the rooms were old. However, it was clean and the staff was helpful. We did not try the food in the hotel and there are no other restaurants nearby that I noticed. So, if you want to be very near to the Aldstadt, this hotel is not for you, but probably a lot less expensive. Nevertheless, can get there easily by bus (and can also get to the Salzburg main train station to go other places).

Worst Holiday Inn I’ve been to. The tub had all sorts of mold growing around the edges. The shower head was broken and barely hanging on. Went to the restaurant to order dessert but they closed all service for guests to accommodate a tour group’s private dinner, I couldn’t even get a bottled beer from the front desk staff even though the beer fridge always a few feet away. The thermostat doesn’t seem to work and it has no readings either. Then on our last night there the hot water went out in the whole building and still wasn’t working the next morning either!

Allgemein hatten wir guten Aufenthalt. Wir finden es aber ein bisschen zu warm im Raum (wir waren da im Februar), so dass wir das Fenster übernacht gekippt lassen mussten. Parkmöglichkeiten: für diejenigen, die draußen parken möchten (10€/Nacht), würden wir empfehlen, schon am Anfang (oder vor) der Check-in-Zeit anzukommen. Später würden alle wenige Plätze schon voll sein.

This hotel is well-located for exploring Salzburg by foot and is ca. 15 minutes from the main train station on foot as well. We found the room to be comfortable and a good temperature, however the shower-head was loose. Breakfast is pricey at over €20 per head, however there is a BILLA shop next door for those who are on a budget. A fridge in the room would have been nice, but that is fairly minor. By far the worst part of the hotel is the check in/out desk staff, who are impolite and very slow- it definitely seems like they do not want to be there and they do not care about their guests.
