I was very disappointed in my stay.I have been here several times in the past. But this time, the whole property seems a lot more run down. The boat canal was not only shut down, but it was full of green algae. The train that takes people across the property was closed down, so it was much more challenging to access all parts of the property. We had to walk quite a way just to get to our room. That did not feel like a luxury experience at all.The lady at the front desk that checked us in was very unwelcoming and did not give us any information about the property. She just gave me the keys. She was waving down some pilots that had walked into the lobby like she was a fan and was completely ignoring us.The pilots were not even seeking her assistance. I was also not very impressed by the valet. The car was brought up, but, they were not opening the doors or helping out for the majority of the time that we were there. One of the pools were closed when we were there. One of the elevators in the Makai Tower seemed to have drippings from a diaper(#2) on the ground and it was not cleaned at all for the duration of our stay.We ate at the restaurant near the lagoon/dolphins and the service was not very good. The food was also not very good. Definitely not worth the price.Additionally, people who are not staying at the hotel are allowed to utilize the pools and lagoon. That doesn't seem fair to paying guests to have a crowded pool, since everyone is allowed in.The room cleaning staff was good.

This was a work trip. However short the stay was and that i was hardly at the hotel to enjoy all the amenities, the front staff was amazing when checking me in.

This was a wonderful experience from start to finish .. I missed the boats & the waterfall, but the pool, 3 hot tubs & the staff were all fabulous! Our oceanfront room overlooking the dolphin enclosure was memorable!! This property is so relaxing… just what we needed to rest & recharge… Mahalo🌺!!

Staff was great but the areas surrounding the pools and walk ways seemed to have a lot of trash in the garden areas.

Beautiful views, nice rooms, and daily housekeeping were definite positives. The resort was a bit too large and not very stroller-friendly with all the bridges and stairs, and the tram often had long waits. Nui Italian had amazing service and a great atmosphere, but food and extras around the resort were very overpriced. Nice experience, but probably not a place we’d stay again.
