Great location in central Zermatt and close to transport. Friendly helpful staff. Ski rentals available in the hotel with really helpful staff and storage for equipment. Very handy for the main train station when you have an early start back to the airport.

Overall good stay. Hot tub wasn't hot. Rooms got warm but plenty of cold air outside to cool them down. Beds were not super comfortable but they did the job

Pretty hotel in the centre of Zermatt. The hotel facilities were great, really happy with the pool and sauna. Nearby dining options were plenty and great quality. Didn’t initially know Zermatt was car free but the shuttle from Täsch was easy and there was plenty of parking.

The Hotel was perfect. It had everything to make our week in Zermatt perfect -- Great Breakfast, Great Location and very comfortable rooms. They picked us up at the train station and the service never ended until they delivered us back for departure.

if you are looking for a simple room to stay at in Zermat then this is the perfect place. Everything was up to par, the room was constantly cleaned we always had fresh towels and the hotel staff will bring you a robe and slippers if asked. The ski rental is connected to the hotel therefore we did not have to walk far to rent skis which was extremely convenient. The breakfast was delicious every morning and the staff was all very nice and helpful. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if returning.

Great hotel, great location. The main train station and the Gornergrad train are 3 min away. The main strip with shopping and restaurants is 4 min away. Everything is just far enough away for the room to be super quiet. I did not have to wake up early and drag my luggage a long way to catch the train. There is a convenient ski rental on site. The breakfast has a good selection but their breakfast tea was not hot enough. The room was very nice and comfortable, although it tended to be on the hot side, enought to have to crack the patio door to keep it cool. I appreciated the full shower with glass door as opposed to those half covered ones that I end up spraying water all over the place. I usually have a pet peeve with overly thick pillows, but here, their pillows smooshed down and were quite comfortable. I am probably in the minority, but I would prefer a thinner sheet and blanket instead of the thick duvet you seem find on every Swiss bed. The pool was large and spacious and I appreciated the hot tub after a good ski. Highly recommend it - 4.5 ot of 5 stars.

Das Hotel Ambassador ist sehr nahe am Bahnhof Zermatt gelegen. Leider ist an der Rezeption niemand der deutschen Sprache fähig - es wird nur auf Englisch kommuniziert - egal ob der Gast Englisch kann oder nicht... man scheint sich mehr auf Gäste - v.a. Gruppen - aus fernen Ländern zu konzentrieren... Die Zimmer sind zweckmässig eingerichtet - unsere Zimmer hatten Matterhornblick. Grundsätzlich sauber - die Dusche aber total verkalkt. Der Frühstücksraum ist in einem Schutzkeller eingerichtet ohne Fenster - man versucht mit Bildern das Ambiente bisschen wohnlicher zu gestalten... Das Frühstücksbuffet ist gut, jedoch auch eher an fernöstliche Gäste ausgerichtet. All-in-All gut für eine Nacht, da nahe am Bahnhof - zu viel erwarten sollte man nicht...

Very nice hotel at North end of Zermatt. Great location next to train station and also numerous restaurants and shops. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Room was very clean and comfortable.

We had a suite at this hotel and it was very spacious and clean. We even have a view of the Matterhorn. The hotel is located about 200m from the train station, and it provided us with free transfer from the station. The inly downside is that there is no air conditioning so the room can get stuffy in summer.

What an amazing hotel!! we had two balconies, one of which we could see the Matterhorn on a clear day. The suite we had was roomy, clean and well appointed. The staff was friendly and the restaurant on property very good. The buffet breakfast is top notch. It even included specialty coffees. It is literally steps away from the train station and the center of Zermatt.

Great location and the 2 Bedroom Suite was comfortable. Unfortunately after we checked out, my father tripped over an inconspicuous metal door stopper just outside the hotel's main entrance. The stopper, though in the middle, was not easily noticeable, causing his left shoe to become trapped, resulting in a fall. He sustained injuries to his chin, forehead, and chest, and his spectacles were damaged when his face hit the ground. While a male staff member at the reception initially provided some assistance, the overall response from the staff was lacking in empathy and concern. Despite his injuries and our distress, they appeared indifferent and quickly resumed their duties on their monitors (Note: there were no other guests nor phone calls that the two staff at the reception attended to during this time), without offering further assistance or expressing empathy. When we sought help in in booking a taxi to the station following the incident, the staff's demeanour remained unfriendly and the quoted price differed from what the driver demanded upon arrival - 18 CHF. Staff did not provide any additional support. Regrettably, my father's chest injury persists to this day, causing him pain whenever he exerts his lungs even slightly. This unfortunate incident has undoubtedly overshadowed our impression of the hotel and highlights the importance of prioritising the safety and well-being of guests, and of compassionate customer service, especially during times of need.

Encantador hotel estilo chalet con habitación enorme y muy buen desayuno. A unos pasos de la estación y también de la estación para subir al Gornergrat para ver el Matterhorn. El pueblo de Zermat es divino y muy pequeño por lo que se puede recorrer caminando.

Lage: sehr gut, 4Min. vom Bahnhof entfernt. Hier wird man in erster Linie auf Englisch angesprochen an der Reception. Standartzimmer, ruhig und normal gross, etwas sehr kleines Bad ansonsten alles vorhanden. Frühstücksraum zu klein für die grösse des Hotels sowie kein Tageslicht. Auswahl der Speisen etwas dürftig. Saunabereich zu klein und kein Ruheraum.

We tried the restaurant, very expensive and the food was not good . You are better finding a different restaurant in town. The room was ok nothing spectacular, . The location was good close to the train station and downtown .Staff could be more friendly. The hotel did not have a big place to just sit down and relax , they have a small living room. I was expecting more for the money we paid

Pros: convenient location to train station, quiet rooms, cleaners were lovely. Good shower pressure and temperature. Cons: breakfast room in windowless basement with no variety in the limited breakfast offering. Not what I would expect from 4*. Limited storage space in bedrooms and no hooks for coats/ski wear. Path from street to reception down a slippery slope. For the price paid it didn’t feel like good value at all.

Sehr schönes renoviertes Zimmer, allerdings hatten wir auch eine Suite. Schönen Blick auf das Matterhorn. Großen Punktabzug für das Frühstück: ein ungemütlicher Kellerraum ohne Fenster, sehr kleine Auswahl und recht unmotivierter Service. Wir waren zum Zermatt Marathon dort und mussten uns daher am Lauftag mit einem Frühstück to Go begnügen und das war eine absolute Frechheit: trockenes Toastbrot, ein Apfel und ein Wasser! Keine Kaffeepads, kein Saft, kein gekochtes Ei - nichts!! Und das soll ein 4-Sterne Hotel sein? Nie im Leben!!!
