Hotel Bahnhof was the perfect place for us to stay. They are set up for travelers and have a ski room in the basement area with an outside access door. The kitchen is large with lots of table space to eat. The room was clean and comfortable. It was a little small with all of our ski luggage (which made the ski storage even more helpful). The shower was very nice and hot! Very walkable location. Fantastic stay!

This is an older property but clean. The facilities such as shower, toilet, kitchen and washer/dryer are shared. I had no issues with congestion. It is literally across the street from the train station and the entire town is walkable from this location. I had a third floor room with a lovely view of the Matterhorn. There is no elevator and heavy luggage might be difficult to manage.

Hotel Bahnhof exceeded my expectations from the moment i stepped out of the Zermatt station - it was just across the street and so central that you were right on the shopping street and the goats passed it in the morn and afternoon on their trek to the mountains. I stayed in the hostel portion in a women’s room with 4 sets of bunk beds and I was very happy with my bottom bunk by the window, which had the illusion of privacy and cool air from the window. The facilities are very clean and well maintained, and the kitchen fully equipped for major cooking or in my case, microwave food and kettle for tea. There seemed to be enough showers and toilets to go around and the coin operated washer/dryer was a welcome luxury that other hotels i stayed at didn’t seem to have. The desk clerks were nice and helpful. Overall, it was a great stay.

What a really great find. I took the hostel room upstairs on the 4th floor (Kilimanjaro) and it worked well. Definitely a hostel up there with bathrooms one floor down but exactly what I needed. Amazing kitchen and great ski room with boot heaters. Right next to the train station and easy access to skiing. The check in and staff were amazing. Quite a find.

It was very low-end for the price. Pillows (one each) were basically flat. Mattress was reasonably comfortable. Front desk attendant was great and the cleaning staff were better than many other places more expensive. Maid service every day. No room refrigerator or coffee maker. Both were in a lower level common kitchen where some guests prepared very smelly meals. A cup of coffee costs 2 CHF. Balconies on rooms insecure, allowing anyone with access to the center hall to walk right up too your window or door. This happened to us.

Very clean facilities, very friendly staff, late arrival for check in was no problem, luggage storage was very convenient. The location was immediately opposite to the train station and exceptionally quiet. The beds were very comfortable. I highly recommend for solo female travellers.

Very friendly hosts and really warm welcome, great communication via emails and messages. Room was cosy, clean and had all facilities you would need. Great shower. Really convenient location right next to the train station so you can jump off the train, drop your bags in your room and start enjoying lovely Zermatt.

One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in my life. Friendly, super, super clean, accommodating. Check in was a breeze. I had a private room but would definitely stay in a dorm next time. In fact I asked but they were full.

Lovely front desk welcome, and check in was able to happen early after a long travel day. My room was clean, and my bed was super comfortable. I had a shared bathroom and shower, but it was always impeccably clean and stocked. Water was hot/pressure was great. It was nice having my own sink and vanity in my room, and fresh towels were provided daily. Clear view of the Matterhorn from my little balcony, which was beautiful. The cons: no lift, and the restaurant noise outside was super intense on my second out of two nights until 11:30pm, and I had to start my hike to Matterhorn base camp early the next morning. That was rough.

The lady at the reception was rude. The toilet was dirty, and the water temperature was so low that I couldn’t take a proper shower. There is also NO LIFT, while the dormitory is in 4th floor. The only positive aspect was the location, as it is close to the station.

This location is excellent and the train station is across the street, (I never heard the train). The green line bus stop is about a 30 second walk, while the heart of downtown is located a couple of minutes from this hotel. The rooms were clean and my hostel bed was configured in such a way that it was very private. I would stay here again!

We stayed in a double room with attached bathroom. Even though the room is relatively small for 2 persons with luggages, but the condition of the room is excellent! The shower temperature control and water pressure is good, the room temperature is well controlled, even though outside is 1 degree Celsius, we are kept warm in the room. The bathroom natural ventilation is good, the room is clean. The staffs are well manners and friendly, the check in / out process is hassles-free. Overall are excellent

The lady at the reception was rude. The toilet was dirty, and the water temperature was so low that I couldn’t take a proper shower. There is also NO LIFT, while the dormitory is in 4th floor. The only positive aspect was the location, as it is close to the station.

What a really great find. I took the hostel room upstairs on the 4th floor (Kilimanjaro) and it worked well. Definitely a hostel up there with bathrooms one floor down but exactly what I needed. Amazing kitchen and great ski room with boot heaters. Right next to the train station and easy access to skiing. The check in and staff were amazing. Quite a find.

Very clean facilities, very friendly staff, late arrival for check in was no problem, luggage storage was very convenient. The location was immediately opposite to the train station and exceptionally quiet. The beds were very comfortable. I highly recommend for solo female travellers.

This location is excellent and the train station is across the street, (I never heard the train). The green line bus stop is about a 30 second walk, while the heart of downtown is located a couple of minutes from this hotel. The rooms were clean and my hostel bed was configured in such a way that it was very private. I would stay here again!

Very friendly hosts and really warm welcome, great communication via emails and messages. Room was cosy, clean and had all facilities you would need. Great shower. Really convenient location right next to the train station so you can jump off the train, drop your bags in your room and start enjoying lovely Zermatt.

This was a great hotel/hostel, it is right across from the train station and at the base of the main street of restaurants/shops. The staff was super friendly and helpful as well. Would highly recommend this place.

This is an older property but clean. The facilities such as shower, toilet, kitchen and washer/dryer are shared. I had no issues with congestion. It is literally across the street from the train station and the entire town is walkable from this location. I had a third floor room with a lovely view of the Matterhorn. There is no elevator and heavy luggage might be difficult to manage.

Hotel Bahnhof exceeded my expectations from the moment i stepped out of the Zermatt station - it was just across the street and so central that you were right on the shopping street and the goats passed it in the morn and afternoon on their trek to the mountains. I stayed in the hostel portion in a women’s room with 4 sets of bunk beds and I was very happy with my bottom bunk by the window, which had the illusion of privacy and cool air from the window. The facilities are very clean and well maintained, and the kitchen fully equipped for major cooking or in my case, microwave food and kettle for tea. There seemed to be enough showers and toilets to go around and the coin operated washer/dryer was a welcome luxury that other hotels i stayed at didn’t seem to have. The desk clerks were nice and helpful. Overall, it was a great stay.

It was very low-end for the price. Pillows (one each) were basically flat. Mattress was reasonably comfortable. Front desk attendant was great and the cleaning staff were better than many other places more expensive. Maid service every day. No room refrigerator or coffee maker. Both were in a lower level common kitchen where some guests prepared very smelly meals. A cup of coffee costs 2 CHF. Balconies on rooms insecure, allowing anyone with access to the center hall to walk right up too your window or door. This happened to us.

Perfect Location with Incredibly Friendly Staff! ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Bahnhof! The location is unbeatable literally right across from the train station, which made traveling so easy. Despite being so central, I felt very safe, and it was just a short walk to plenty of great restaurants. The staff truly made the experience special. Everyone was so warm, welcoming, and helpful from check-in to check-out. They went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. Yes, the room was on the smaller side, but it was spotless and well-organized. The bed and bedding, however, were incredibly comfortable.
