The property is on a raised area of the City centre which gives an amazing view of the whole city from the top floor pool. The staff are courteous and friendly and the dining menu is perfect and excellently priced for room service. My room was upgraded to one with a balcony and this was absolutely amazing and also the Expedia VIP gave me a discount on food and drink there which, as a solo traveller was much appreciated. The only slight downside is that the top floor pool, whilst panoramic, is quite small and so if a party of 2 or more people are in it, it can seem inaccessible. Also, on departure, there is no shower room available for leaving guests. If you have a later flight and have been checked out for a while, In the Crete climate, changing and feeling fresh for your flight is a necessity.

Helped with luggage fast. No parking / chaotic to drop off luggage. Hotel was in a good spot - good recommendations for restaurants in the area. The pool area was a bit “run down” and the room was very small - we had a 3rd person in the room and the cot was very small with a very uncomfortable bed. Overall good area for one to reach the seaport

Stayed there in June 2025. Staff were fantastic. Hotel really good. Only thing I would have slightly criticised was the lack of water heating in the swimming pools. Still able to enjoy a swim, though. Otherwise, I couldn’t fault it at all.

This is an up-market hotel with two modest sized pools. Very clean. Great public areas. Museum 2 minute walk, restaurants 3-4 minute walk. Very happy with location and service.

The hotel was nice. The people did not do a good job with the parking situation. The booking clearly states that self parking is included in the booking. When we arrived the parking lot that has 15 spaces for a very large hotel, was completely full. We were told we could park in a different garage near by (5 min walk). This cost 10 eu a day. One advantage to booking this hotel was the availability of parking, and that was not the case upon check in. I would like it to be know that parking is NOT included in the booking as advertised.

The only thing we did not like was the pool hours. We were delayed arriving to the hotel getting there only at 8:10 PM so looking forward to a swim in the pool and to enjoy the rooftop pool only to hear it closed at 8pm and was only open 10am to 7pm inside and to 8pm outside, for the two night stay we could not use the pool as day two we were on an excursion from 6am to 10pm and then checked out at 430am the next day. I selected this hotel for its location and rooftop pool which we did not get to use. We did receive our VIP upgrade in the room and did use our $10 credit for food on the first day but did not have the time to use it on the second day. Staff very friendly, hotel very clean and very comfortable.

Short but sweet stay while passing through Heraklion, great location for archaeological museum, close to bus stop to Knossos, and walking distance to centre for restaurants and Venetian fort. Modern and clean, quiet room, great breakfast buffet with nice small internal courtyard to eat outside.

We stayed for two nights on Tuesday 5th March & Wednesday 6th March. We are frequent visitors to this hotel as it is absolutely fantastic. All the staff are professional and friendly. The food is lovely and the harbour view room we stay in is beautiful and always spotlessly clean. We will always be returning back to this hotel.

Aquila Atlantis Hotel is a lovely hotel with friendly staff. We enjoyed our breakfast each morning and the options available were very good. Our room was spacious with comfortable beds. A building next to the hotel was being renovated/rebuilt and caused noise on some of the mornings we were there even with the window closed. Apart from that the hotel was quiet. We were disappointed that the air conditioning wasn’t available as the room got hot at night. We couldn’t leave the window open because of the building work. We were offered a fan, however. The bathroom was very nice but its layout was a bit strange as the toilet was in the shower cubicle. The shower was big but obviously the floor got wet when someone had a shower as did the toilet. Our only other issue was that because the balcony had a solid cement wall, when sitting on the balcony you couldn’t see anything. All in all, we enjoyed our stay at the Aquila Atlantic.

We had a one night stay in order to catch an early ferry. The hotel called us a taxi, which was very close to the port. The pool seemed nice and the rooftop area good for seeing the sunset. The only odd thing was the shower opened up into the room, so be sure you’re comfortable with whoever you’re staying with.

I believe they told me I'd been upgraded when I checked-in, but my room had a great view of the business harbor if you leaned out over the rail, and I paid for a harbor view (like I had seen in the photos from the pool). More like I was downgraded. I also have serious questions about whether the AC even worked, if it did, there was no way to adjust it, or even feel it working. The location was ok, but you're going to hear a lot of air traffic. I think I'll examine my options next time.

The hotel itself was lovely. The rooms are well appointed, and they even gave us an upgrade at no additional charge, which was very much appreciated. The staff are all professional and friendly. The reason I gave four instead of five stars was for the tremendous construction noise that was right outside our window. It started very early in the morning. We would’ve appreciated having a heads up there was construction going onso that we could’ve chosen a room perhaps facing the opposite direction. Otherwise the hotel was lovely.

Room was clean. The staff was friendly. There are times when only one reception staff on and is not very knowledgeable able the VIP program. Air conditioning worked well. Breakfast was good, lots of meal items to choose from.The staff restocked items regularly.The one fruit juice did have a strange after taste to it.

The hotel was excellent in all regards, including the restaurant. Short walking distance to the archeology museum. 10 min walking to the ferry boats. Breakfast was sumptuous and fresh. The only exception was the noise at the near by harbor. We stayed a total of 6 njghts. On three out of the 6 nights, there was loud music, some kind of party, at the near by harbor that lasted well after midnjght.

The Aquila Atlantis hotel is located in such a great spot! Only a few minutes away from the ferry, and in the heart of the city with plenty of options nearby for food, shopping and more! The staff at the hotel were kind and helped point us in the right direction any time we had questions too.

We stayed 2 nights on the way to Santorini. The location is close by the bus station, Ferry port, and city center. Our room was upgraded to a bigger room on the 4th floor. The staff were helpful and polite.

Good, comfortable, for a city hotel it was adequate but not epic. The breakfast was fantastic though and same as the service. We unfortunately we're there when there was a convention taking place in the lobby so it made it exceptionally congested. For a 5 star I expected more.

I would definitely stay at this location again. It was easy to get around and one of my favorite things is it was easy to do our laundry (there are two inexpensive little shops right around the corner). We had THE most AMAZING breakfast included.
