the food at the restaurant was great and affordable. parking was 2 blocks away. pedestrian streets are 4 blocks away

A localização do hotel é sensacional. Perto do centrinho comercial e do museu. Dá pra fazer tudo a pé. O apartamento é confortável e o banheiro é todo separado (vaso sanitário, chuveiro e pia): eu gosto dessa configuração pois agiliza na hora de se arrumar. Apenas o sistema de aquecimento de água não é muito bom: ora a água está quente, ora fica fria e ora queima e pele. O café da manhã é bem padrão, mas é muito bom. Atenção para o estacionamento: o hotel não tem estacionamento, mas tem convênio com um estacionamento pago. O valor é de 6 euros a diária.

This was our first time in Crete, and the Olive Green Hotel was the perfect place to stay. It's very centrally located, near the ferry docks, the airport, and numerous historical sites and museums. The entire staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The daily breakfast was extensive, well made, and the wonderful. The front desk staff gets an extra praise for handling every question and request we had promptly and in avery friendly manner. An added bonus is having a small park across the street with outdoor tables from the nearby restaurants. We highly recommend it!

The all day cafe was a nice spot to have afternoon coffee. Rooms were too warm and the heat was automatic.

Perfekte Lage um die Stadt zu erkunden. Man kann zum Ausladen vor dem Hotel parken und dann die Kollaboration mit dem Parkhaus ums Eck nutzen.

We liked everything about the Olive Green Hotel. They were very responsive to our emails, and arranged transportation for us from the ferry to the hotel. We arrived late and had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant bar. The room was exceptional and they stored our luggage for us the next day. The hotel is close to everything and walkable. Most of all, the staff is very kind. Thank you!

Great hospitality clean and easy walk to city center

Modern clean hotel within easy walk to amenities. Room had a bit of an odour though (sewerage type of smell)

Nice hotel, our view was looking at the scary old side into residential old apartments. Grungy area and not the best nor clean area Hotel room was okay for 1 night, decent facilities, old hotel, not clean hallways not maintained. Lighting in hallway was not nice. Shower was other side of room From toilet

Washbasin was inside a wardrobe kind of setting which was bit inconvenient but overall room was spacious. We got room with balcony which helped to get some fresh air as and when needed. We booked here 2 times: begin and end of our holiday. Rooms I would describe as usual/good. THOUGH a feature I have never encountered before is the dispersion of the bathroomfunctions accross the room: shower NEXT to the WINDOW and also the washingbowl open and next to the bed! Be AWARE though not to get the room (-s?) 203 as when we came back they assigned us to this room. OH MY did it STINK in there! I challenge the manager to stay 5minutes in this room! Surely they have known about this! Than had to wait for 30minutes at the reception until the girl made telephonecalls and give us finally another room. I was quite mad about this! Positive: great location (why I picked it) and a nice terrace and restaurant outside. (I did not like to use the included breakfast in the (usual!) basement: very basic n not so tasty to be honest)

Location was fantastic and, so close to everything. Staff were very friendly and helpful and room was really comfortable. Only downside was the room we were in, you could hear all the traffic noise outside. We hope to visit again soon.

Room was good for our family and the beds are comfortable. However the area around the hotel is noisy, both traffic and people. The room we had was particularly noisy as it was only a floor above street level. I would not stay here again if I was given a lower floor room. Breakfast is pretty average, again something I’d skip on a return visit.

The woman at the desk was helpful in helping us to arrange our car rental pick up also very helpful and patient in getting our ferry tickets printed. Room was comfortable and clean.Bed was very comfy. The hotel was steps to restaurants and shops. Close to port if catching or arriving by ferry.

It means zero privacy for the shower. The staff wasn't warm but everyone was nice enough. There are fantastic restaurants within easy walking distance of the hotel. The port is also walking distance. There's a bus stop the other direction about 5 min away that goes to the airport or to Knossos. The location seriously can't be beat.

Olive Green was a comfortable, modern hotel on a pretty plaza, convenient to the sites in downtown Heraklion. The room was on the small side and the spaces in the bathroom were a bit awkward. The breakfast was excellent. We were comfortable.

Olive Green is a well appointed hotel in a very convenient location. It is easily accessible to all the interesting areas in Heraklion - the Archeological museum is a stone's throw away, and the port is about a 10 min walk. Tons of restaurants walkable from the hotel. The breakfast in the hotel was very nice. Its a great spread of Cretan items along with the usual fare. We really enjoyed trying out the different items. We got the executive room in one stay, and it was really nice with a wraparound balcony. The room itself is well appointed - has all the amenities in a compact and neatly setup spaces.

The staff were amazing and super helpful. Fotini at the front desk took great care of us and helped us tremendously by helping us arrange transfers to and from the hotel as well as all the touristy things we wanted to do. We arrived several hours before the check in time, but they got our room ready within an hour of our arrival. Highly recommend this hotel and the team operating it!

Olive Green Hotel provided a good experience overall. The location is excellent, and the room was spacious and clean. However, the check-in process took longer than expected, and the breakfast was below average. Despite these minor issues, I would still recommend this hotel for its comfort and convenience.

Was war gut: die Lage ist sehr zentral am Plateía Elefthería. Gute Ausgehmöglichkeiten in der unmittelbaren Umgebung. Ich hatte ein großes Zimmer mit großem Balkon auf der sechsten Etage. Sehr gute Klimaanlage. Was war nicht gut: leider so einiges. Es fing schon bei der Rezeption an. Keine Begrüßung, sondern nervöses Staunen, dass ich an der Rezeption stand. Die junge Angestellte trug einen Mundschutz und sprach leise und rasend schnell, wodurch ich nicht ein einziges Wort auf Anhieb verstand. Schrecklich! Natürlich war das Zimmer noch nicht fertig, dass war mir klar. So verbrachte ich 3 Stunden in der Stadt. Dann wollte ich wieder einchecken, Zimmer war immer noch nicht bereit. Etwas später löste eine andere junge Frau die Angestellte ab. Ich fragte, ob das Zimmer nun fertig sei. Nein, immer noch nicht. Mir platzte langsam der Kragen, da ich seit 4 Uhr früh unterwegs war und es mittlerweile 15:30 Uhr war. Schließlich bekam ich den Zugang ohne jegliche Erklärungen über das Hotel. Im Zimmer wollte ich später duschen. Dusche war schön, aber die Jalousie defekt, so dass ich bei voller Beleuchtung für alle ringsum sichtbar mich duschte. Mittendrin ging das Licht aus, ich stand eingeseift unter Dusche im Dunkeln. Nicht angenehm. Aufenthalt auf Balkon nur bei Sonnenuntergang möglich. Zum Auschecken runter. Wieder keine Begrüßung, sondern nur "Room-Number?" Das war's. Keine Verabschiedung. Ich fand das alles sehr unhöflich und rüde. Fazit: neues Hotel mit mangelhafter Empathie.

Das Hotel macht einen guten Eindruck. Personal bei Anreise sehr freundlich. Zimmer war gut und sauber. Die Abreise (c/o) war gut, jedoch war die Freundlichkeit im Vergleich zum c/i eher zurückhaltend und ohne Nachfrage, ob der Aufenthalt den Erwartungen entsprochen hat. Das könnte man noch "optimieren".

Muy bien ubicado y habitaciones cómodas. Lo único que llegamos de madrugada por nuestro vuelo, sobre las 4.30, y el recepcionista no fue especialmente servicial.

This property is a newer building, conveniently located within walking distance of the main pedestrian street. It is a bit farther from the ocean, but is definitely walkable. The rooms are clean and nice with helpful staff. It is very near an easy bus station to get to Knossos. Very good breakfast.

Loved the location. Central and easy walking distance from the centre and the excellent museum. Friendly and helpful staff on reception and in the breakfast room. Comfortable beds and decent size shower. Plenty of hot water; no dressing gowns! Breakfast was good, excellent variety; but as is usual with Greek hotels, the hot food was more tepid than hot. A couple of faults with the room which we reported and were assured would be dealt with, however we were only staying one night, so did not see results. We have to go to Iraklio a few times a year and have stayed elsewhere before; but now we have found Olive Green. We will definitely make this our hotel of choice on our next visit.
