The hotel was nice, the restaurant is good, a bit pricey but good food. The wifi only allows 2 connections and then is extra money per day, also parking is $25/day per vehicle, so those are downsides.

The room wasn't clean. There was hair stuck all over the shower. It was hard to get a good picture of it. There was also hair inside the sink. Also, there was a stain in the carpet and on the lounger that looked like blood. The lounger was stained all around it in other areas, too. My spouse came 2 days later, and I had given the front desk his name. When he went down to get coffee, he stopped at the desk to get another card. (He didn't realize he didn't have his ID.) They asked for his ID, and due to his not having it, they called security on him and followed him to his room like a criminal. Then they never issued him an ID after they verified it was him. I was standing there, and they never apologized or asked me anything. Several times, we had to ask the desk for things, and they were so rude. The hotel was empty almost every day of my 7 days until Friday and Saturday, so you would think customer service would be important to keep people happy and bring in more clients. When it was busy, we had to wait 30 minutes to get out of the garage.

We chose this property for access to the “Link” because we were attending an event in the Union Station. We had thought that the Link would make our stay more convenient. We found that it made it more difficult! Signage is terrible and we found it very difficult to know for sure where we were in the “maze” as we tried to navigate. Really surprised us that there few good maps throughout the Link. Fortunately the weather was fine and we could walk easily. Can’t understand why the Link, which is a great idea, is so poorly mapped and signed!

We had issues with our room key accessing the parking garage, being charged incorrectly for our internet though we are Bonvoy members, a dirty sink upon arrival and not being able to use the luggage trolley when we were checking out. The front staff resolved our issues with the parking and internet, reversing the charges and were very kind in doing so. We cleaned our own sink and made multiple trips to the car with our luggage. The hotel was otherwise clean and the staff was friendly. It should be noted that there is major construction on the Mezzanine level which has also blocked access to the indoor walkway to the shops and restaurants at Crown Center. It is short-term, but when visiting in the winter, that made it harder to get access in the Midwestern cold and wind!

The staff was exceptional!! Every single person we encountered was so nice and helpful. Self parking is easy with in and out privileges. The room was clean and comfortable. We were missing a few girls and amenities, but guest services took care of it immediately. The hotel went above and beyond to create a theme for our stay’s event. We’d stay again in a heartbeat! The only complaint was the pushy bell service to insist they load our luggage, etc when we were not at all interested.

A good weekend getaway for a festival. This hotel is in a great location with lots to see and do nearby. Convenient to the Crossroads, Union Station and Crown Center. The hotel is a classic Sheraton. The lobby is a wonderful place to gather and relax. The bar/restaurant was also good for gathering and socializing. We enjoyed the pool, but it is in need of a refresh. Although the deck has some nice flowerpots and furniture, the pool needed some TLC with a nice ring of muck around the waterline. Hot tub was not in service. Towels were thin and cheap. We will stay at this hotel again because of the location.

The staff was great, very friendly. Our room had hair left in the tub and around the toilet, which as a bit gross. We were close to shopping, food, & tons of entertainment. The KC Streetcar was close, so we could get downtown easily.

The service in the restaurants and bar was very friendly and attentive. The front desk were helpful. The rooms were not clean at all. We had two rooms that adjoined. My room had aspects that had not been cleaned. There were crumbs on the floor, hair on the shower wall, and the bathroom mirror and sink were dirty. Our other room had dirt on one bed and hair in the shower. Also, the bath faucet was leaking and the window curtain was stuck in the closed position. Regarding the last two issues, the staff was responsive and fixed those issues within a few hours.

Overall the hotel did not appear to be in the same condition it was in even two years ago. Generally looked a little dingy, and had a musty odor as though there was recent water damage. There was no hot water available when I went to use the shower in the evening either. Which seemed really strange for a hotel of this cost and size. None of the staff seemed to have any recommendations for nearby accommodations, and no one seemed to be aware of whether or not the bar would be open or at which time.

The room was disgusting. The carpet was The worst part. My son had a film of dirt on the bottom of his feet. We had been in the hotel twenty minutes. That is gross. We had to wear our shoes the whole time. Cleanliness was my only issue. Never going to stay here. First impressions are important still.

In the room behind a chair had crumbs and had not been vacuumed. We asked for a late check out. Evidently someone didn’t program things because our key would not work and we got locked out of the room. Also we couldn’t get out of the parking garage. It was extremely expensive during this time and I expected better.

Loved the views of the city from the room, and the property itself is so cool. Access to the skywalk (Link) and Union Station was so convenient. The only downside during our stay was having a room next to the elevator, which was a little noisy during the night but that was minor.

Be sure to ask for a room that is away from the elevators. They run all night from Floor 1 - 28, and you will hear every stop and start from a room beside the elevator. I needed the earplugs I always pack for trips. Other than this circumstance, I thought the hotel was quite wonderful.

During our stay in the room and the heater/fan was continuously rattling all evening long and we did not sleep at all. We tried turning the fan heater off so we could get some sleep, but it would get too cold in the room so we would have to turn it back on very restless night of sleep. I’m not sure if they don’t maintenance these Fan/heaters or something but it was very uncomfortable stay and we had to get back on the road early in the morning

The staff was great, very friendly. Our room had hair left in the tub and around the toilet, which as a bit gross. We were close to shopping, food, & tons of entertainment. The KC Streetcar was close, so we could get downtown easily.

The room wasn't clean. There was hair stuck all over the shower. It was hard to get a good picture of it. There was also hair inside the sink. Also, there was a stain in the carpet and on the lounger that looked like blood. The lounger was stained all around it in other areas, too. My spouse came 2 days later, and I had given the front desk his name. When he went down to get coffee, he stopped at the desk to get another card. (He didn't realize he didn't have his ID.) They asked for his ID, and due to his not having it, they called security on him and followed him to his room like a criminal. Then they never issued him an ID after they verified it was him. I was standing there, and they never apologized or asked me anything. Several times, we had to ask the desk for things, and they were so rude. The hotel was empty almost every day of my 7 days until Friday and Saturday, so you would think customer service would be important to keep people happy and bring in more clients. When it was busy, we had to wait 30 minutes to get out of the garage.

We checked in at 2 and was told we had a specialty room he said King. But I ordered the queen with sofa. We were finally given key after 5pm check in was 4. I was in a handicap room? Why I asked the front desk manager and he was completely rude and not personal as if I was wrong? I feel like I was robbed of the $1300 as I missed dinner with family we were meeting in town since I had no where to get read and change. Then this morning I ask for a manager don’t get one and the gentleman made me also feel like I was a problem. My shower was in a handicap bathroom with water completely covering the floor. Poor design and dangerous because I slipped and fell. I honestly feel a full refund is appropriate given the horrible service by front desk manager and agents. The hotel was nice and the staff was great, but overall the experience sucked because after 10 minutes of checking in, the front desk checked another couple into our room and they walked in while my wife was half naked. The front desk fixed the problem and Fredosa (sp?) very kindly offered us a voucher for free breakfast. That would have been fine if it were the only issue we encountered, but it wasn't. We were in KC for a concert, and when we returned to the hotel after the show (around 12:30am), we walked into our room only to find that there was about 1.5 inches of standing water flooding our bathroom- a pipe behind the toilet was leaking. So we had to pack up all our stuff and schlep down to the front desk at 1am to be moved to a different room. I know these things happen and it's not the end of the world, but we were only there for 1 night and it's unfortunate that we encountered so many problems in such a short time. I want to recognize the outstanding service provided by Fredosa and Leexi (sp?) at the front desk -- both were very professional and understanding and definitely very guest-focused, which is great. Honestly, I've stayed at many hotels that were a lot more expensive and the service wasn't nearly as good as this property. So I really do appreciate the efforts of the staff to make things right.

We reserved an executive suite corner room online with Expedia, and paid upfront. When we got to the hotel they said they didn't have any rooms available and placed us in a traditional king room. They said we had to work out the problem with Expedia. In other words, no reimbursement on the hotels end. A large dental convention was going on to to busy to be served in their bar. Overall not a pleasant experience when you spend $520.00/night for a room. We stayed on the 33rd floor, and was asked to come to guest services to re-code our keys 3 times. I had asked for a bottle of water and was told the fee was $4.00/bottle or $10.00/if delivered to the room. I thought surely they could comp us a water since we had to continue to "come to the front desk" due to their mistakes. This weekend away was quite frustrating due to the Sheraton Hotel.

Loved the views of the city from the room, and the property itself is so cool. Access to the skywalk (Link) and Union Station was so convenient. The only downside during our stay was having a room next to the elevator, which was a little noisy during the night but that was minor.

The hotel was beautiful. We came By train and although the convenience of walking through the elevated walkway was great, it was much further than we anticipated. Also access to the pool was hard to get to. The excercise facilities, restaraunt, and staff were excellent.

A good weekend getaway for a festival. This hotel is in a great location with lots to see and do nearby. Convenient to the Crossroads, Union Station and Crown Center. The hotel is a classic Sheraton. The lobby is a wonderful place to gather and relax. The bar/restaurant was also good for gathering and socializing. We enjoyed the pool, but it is in need of a refresh. Although the deck has some nice flowerpots and furniture, the pool needed some TLC with a nice ring of muck around the waterline. Hot tub was not in service. Towels were thin and cheap. We will stay at this hotel again because of the location.

Crown center closes at 6pm except for a BBQ place til 10 and Spin Pizza til 9. That’s it. Spin is good. Expensive but good. My issues with the hotel is the restaurant is horrible. The elevators are noisy and the pool was freezing. Yes it’s an outdoor pool but we’ve had hot 95 for a month at least and it’s outside/inside. 2 lights in the corridor worked (50ft) corridor. I booked through Expedia and paid at booking. Surprise when I almost get home after checking out and driving 3hours home I get a notification of a charge on my card. For my stay. I call and someone made a “mistake”. I will be watching my statement. The staff is friendly. And there is stuff to do in the area. The food choices need to stay open longer for people who stay there and happen to do something else during the day. Like watch the Royals.

Overall a good experience. The food at the restaurants in the hotel could have been better. I was there for a concert at Arrowhead Stadium. It would have been awesome if shuttle service was provided at a reasonable cost. Price was a little high, but average for downtown KC.

The hotel was beautiful and the staff was so courteous. We asked for a feather free room and everything was taken care of before we arrived. The rooms were a good size with a good view. The pool area is run down with tiles missing in the pool and it’s small for the size of the hotel. There wasn’t a lot of choices to eat and the food in the restaurant was decent, but not great. Overall, we would definitely still go back.
