It was situated close to the airport and the room was more than adequate. Facilities were poor, limited staff to serve and limited food and drinks, just not prepared for customers to dine in at the bar area. Took a lot of time due to lack of staff. Gym area was able to use or the heated pool area, equipment broken.

Hotel was nice and clean. Check in was easy and front desk was friendly. Room was clean and beds were comfortable, slept good. Breakfast was decent staff was present and cleaning. Only disappointment was we booked this hotel for indoor pool as we were traveling a long day and wanted kids to be able to get our some energy and pool was closed do to the health department shutting it down. Other than that bummer it was an ok stay and would stay again.

The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was good. The fitness center was just ok. It was dark and hot and cramped. The fan didn't work and lights were burnt out. We selected this hotel partly for the shuttle to the airport but we got a 9pm call that our 5am shuttle was being cancelled (transmission problems). We reserved a taxi with the service the front desk recommended and the taxi was a no show. There were no Uber options at that time of the morning. Tldr good hotel but don't really in then to get to or from the airport.

We just stayed here as a quick overnight stop on a road trip and appreciated the friendly service and nice breakfast. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioner worked well. However, this is a pet friendly hotel and the first thing we noticed upon entering our room was that is smelled like urine and the rooms have carpet flooring.

I had asked the front desk if there had been cats in the room as I am very allergic to them, her response was I can’t guarantee that. I told her that I have a hypoallergenic dog due to my allergies and she looked at me like I offended her! She then proceeded to tell me that the pet rooms are throughly cleaned that they spend more time on those rooms cleaning. I said ok and took the room. The room smelled so terrible! The entire hallway smelled terrible! I was afraid to ask for another room with the check-in experience so we just suffered through it, how this hotel had such good reviews, I don’t know!

Breakfast was fine. My huge complain is a bedbug infestation. After spending a night at this hotel. I woke up with a horrible skin rash which turned to be bed bug bites! Not a pleasant thing especially if you just learned that you have an allergic reaction to them.

The hotel seems worn. AC was off in the lobby and lights not on...dark and shadowy. Hotel room seemed worn, dirty washcloth was hanging from the shower rod, and the room did not smell fresh. Pool is NOT heated and the patio area was trashy and weedy.

Service was good, room was clean. 1st floor near vending machine smelled of urine and cigarettes. Our room air conditioner was quite loud when it kicked on. Breakfast was sub par - went at 8:30 am and most food bins were empty. Eggs were watery and tasteless. No yogurt or fruit.

Booked this hotel because I saw positive reviews, however the hallway/ stairwell carpet was filthy our entire stay. The couch in our room was also disgusting. We asked for some packets of salt for our food and they didn’t have any. The hallways also smelled horribly throughout our entire stay. The staff was friendly, but I don’t think this property is deserving of the positive reviews it has.

The website didn't say that you had to call to get a ride from the airport. After waiting a half hour I called the number on the website which was not the property. That person was extremely helpful though as was the front desk person. No food available onsite after breakfast. The room was hot and smelled like stinky feet. Left as soon as I could. I won't stay here again.

We were there for a short night before a flight out of MCI. Upon entering, the room felt humid and the carpet felt damp. There were no additional blankets or pillows in the closet for the sofa bed. Removing the sofa bed cushions, I noticed they has several stains. When I went downstairs for a blanket, the front desk agent was nice and prompt. The rest of the room was okay, but bathroom walls had questionable marks and hair. The room was basic. Price was okay for a quick night stay over. I wouldn’t choose it again.

It’s a typical airport hotel - they seem to have done some updates but you can tell it’s dated overall. The air conditioner didn’t cool the room, the water splattered out of the faucet from hard water buildup, and there was a constant “scratching” noise all night (sounded like air in the water pipes or possibly tarps blowing in the wind outside in construction areas)

The biggest issue with This Best Western Plus hotel was the "fair" internet. Constantly had to go to settings and re-establish internet connection. Very frustrating. The coffee was excellent and HOT. The daily rate was less than most of the neighboring hotels. Being a IHG member, I may stay there even if it's a tad more than Best Western Plus. The charging outlets in the bedside lamps were DATED and they all lost their "snugness" for a solid connection.

The staff at this Best Western in Kansas City went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help me. I used their park and fly service to get from the hotel to the airport. My plane got delayed and then canceled, and they made four trips to take me to the airport, pick me up, take me back, and pick me up again. On the 4th trip, they asked if I had eaten any nutritious food. I said no, not since breakfast when they had picked me up from the airport the first time after having dropped me off the first time, and they made me a cheeseburger and would not accept payment for it from me, they wanted to do that to brighten my day. The fact that they cared so much spoke volumes! Their customer service will make you feel like you are the most important person in the world. The hotel was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was good quality. As a middle aged female traveling by herself I felt extremely safe the entire time. I can’t thank them enough for their hospitality, and their kindness on a bad day. They made it a lot more better to handle! Anytime I’m in the KC area and need a hotel, I’m choosing this one everytime!

When arriving room wasn't ready. Left for 4 hrs came back and the room still wasn't ready. When speaking with the 2 arrogant guys at the desk, one asked me why it took 4 hours to say something. After finally getting a different room, I walked in to a room that smelled like wet dog. The carpet felt wet as well as the blankets. This was one of th worst experiences at a hotel. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

I have stayed at this Best Western before, including on March 10, and the service has always been great. When I came back on March 21, I had a problem with the agent behind the front desk. I checked into the hotel and then returned a rental car by the airport. I called for a hotel shuttle to come and pick me up. 15-20 minutes later no one had come so I called again. I was assured that a driver was coming. 15 minutes later I called for the third time. This time the agent became very rude and abusive. He told me that the driver had been looking for me and it was my fault. He said that they have been doing business for 10 years and know exactly where to go for the rental car office. He even told me that it would be my responsibility to back to the hotel on my own. We had one or two more conversations like that. After about 45 minutes the driver called me and said that his English wasn’t very good. He put a woman on the phone who spoke English and I explained to her where the driver should go to pick me up. The driver finally showed up and apologized. He said that his boss told him to pick me up at the airport and not the rental car building. I finally got back to the hotel and everything else was fine. I understand that these things happen, but the agent became totally frustrated and rude and didn’t make any attempts to work it out. The next time, I will stay at another hotel.

Nice place. Very close to MCI so there is some overhead jet plane noise but it did not bother me. Staff very nice. It has been kept up well with some newer touches. Convenient, reasonably priced and comfortable.

Super quick check-in, HUGE room! Incredibly quiet. The picture is what the place looks like. Friendly and helpful staff, which is needed because there's nothing really within walking distance of this hotel except another hotel. This is very close to the airport with a shuttle and near the KC office of the FBI. I noticed several airline personnel from different airlines staying there too. It feels like it's out in the middle of nowhere, which is what you would want for a safe and quiet night of sleep. It's near the interstate, but I never heard any road noise nor noise from nearby KCI. It had bar service in the breakfast area that evening and an awesome breakfast in the morning. The usuals, but also an oatmeal bar, which was nice.

Our room had a certain smell that wasn’t pleasant. It wasn’t horrible, it just had a slight dirty smell. I did notice the floors in our room wasn’t the cleanest and there was hair in several places. I’d stay again because it’s conveniently located close to the airport. For the price it was well worth it.

Whole building smells good. We had to leave before the hot breakfast but they made go bags with fruit cup, granola bar, and muffin. The room was very clean and new shower! Shuttle to airport is very convenient.

The breakfast was horrible and I’m not one to complain about breakfast. Oatmeal was runny, 1 cereal option, no milk, scrambled egg whites was the only protein. The juice dispenser was the best thing there.

This is a great BW! It is very clean, and easy to get to from the airport. We arrived late and Trisha offered to make burgers for us. There was even a plant base option for me. You can’t beat the prices and the service. The fresh breakfast in the morning was delicious and hit the spot. There is also a cute little bar here if you’d like a drink. I highly recommend this BW and will definitely stay here again, when in the area.
