I was disappointed that all the pool umbrellas were broken. The shaded alcove by the pool had wasps. I told the woman working the front desk the first day and it still was the same on the fourth day. That was very disappointing. Darlene at the bar was very attentive and pleasant. The rooms were very clean.

We stayed here last year during Memorial Day and a full renovation was taking place. The renovation is now complete with both elevators working and the lobby looks great. Terry greeted us warmly when we checked in and ensured we would have everything needed to have a pleasant stay. The room is quiet, comfortable, and clean. Room service is available too. Continental and full breakfast are available and the bar is open until 11. The hotel is located in the quiet part of the city and within walking distance of several attractions (1 mile to the City Gates). The only complaint is parking. It is limited onsite but more is available directly across the street. It is secure and accessible with a code.

BED BUGS !!!!!!! ( MAY 9-10th, 2025 ) What’s worse than discovering bed bugs your first night at a hotel? Discovering them the second morning. I really wanted to like this place. The front desk staff were polite, and the location was decent, but the room cleanliness was clearly lacking. At 7 a.m., I found a bug crawling across my shoulder. We immediately documented the bugs with photos and even collected a few into cups to respectfully present to the front desk. The staff was apologetic and provided garbage bags (upon request) so we could bag up ALL of our belongings. Unfortunately, upper hotel management declined to provide any written statement acknowledging the incident in person. To be fair, we were refunded after requesting an early checkout — really the bare minimum in this situation — but the psychological toll was real. What followed were hours of anxious research at a laundromat trying to ensure we didn’t bring anything home, and plenty of steam-cleaning our non-washable items. I'm not here to rant or exaggerate, rather to share what happened and encourage the hotel to take stronger preventative action. Travelers deserve a clean, safe stay, especially one without bed bugs. TIP : Even if you checked for bed bugs once, check three more times, then get someone else to check over it. You will save yourself so much stress, money and time if you do.

I choose to stay at this hotel upon my friend’s recommendation, she stayed at this hotel about a year ago and loved it! I guess things had changed since… The room we stayed in had sooooo much dust you can’t even imagine ( an a/c unit had an inch layer of dust, carpet was nasty and bathtub had long dark hair in it! Room service is by request only and we kept on forgetting to request it a night before, and a funny thing was that someone still went into the room to change trash bags and bring towels but they left the rest as it was. All 4 of us got really bad cough after our stay due to all the dust. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone especially people with asthma or allergies. Not good for children either.

The hotel is ok, the staff is great, friendly, polite. Our room was clean. My only real issue is the bathroom or more specifically the shower. There was mildew on the wall and the bottom of the tub looked dirty but I'm sure it was stained. On the plus side it looks like they are in the middle of a remodel so maybe those things are on the agenda.

Properly is very clean. Rooms and interior seem recently renovated (year or so). Beds and interior of room nice and clean and fresh. No pet or animal smell in the bulding or room (trust me i can tell). Walkable distance to rhe historical area and within reach of some of the Tram sites/destinations. Cookies to die for! (They do contain nuts, but have warnings, delicious!). Convenient parking and restaurant/bar right in lobby. We did not have breakfast but area appeared very nice. Would love to come back to this hotel in near future. Staff very very friendly.

Room itself had dirty carpet not vacuumed stains on sheets did not receive chocolate chip cookies as advertised room service menu was different than advertised so person on phone asked me to come down to bar to look at menu I said no because room service was the whole point Bathroom was clean location was great

Extremely small rooms. No parking. Had to park across the street at night in dark area. Room and hallway had extremely strong odor. Drunk guests outside the front door being loud and vulgar. Told front desk and was told that is what happens. Doesn’t look like pictures.

The location is convenient, the room was pretty clean, however dated. It’s an older building converted to Doubletree without the usual amenities you expect from Doubletree. My opinion is not worth the high cost, I would stay elsewhere in the area to get a better experience for the same price.

The location is great. We stayed in the one bedroom suite. The room is very spacious and looks renovated with modern design. The room is on the first floor, so if you are sleeping in the pull out couch, you it can be noisy during checkout time. The bedroom is quite, and all windows face the pool area.

Nice but hells bells what it is Hilton having block hard beds it’s like sleeping on concrete. They could use medium form beds! Also it was the first time for us that you had to pay for your continental breakfast at $17 to boot. That was very disappointing. And if you want no sleep find a Hilton with softer beds. As none of us slept well with Rock hard mattresses. And they charge $25 a day paring in their own parking lots. Other than that the staff was amazing and place was very clean.

I like that the hotel is walkable from the historic district. We parked the car and we were happy to walk. The room was clean. However, our room was near the exit stairs and it was loud, always someone walked at day/night. First time I woke up in the middle of the night thinking that someone opened our door, but it was our neighbor's door/room. So, the walls and doors are thin and we could hear everything around. Another concern I have it's parking. They cleaned parking every day and blowed all trash/sand/leaves from the ground to the parked cars. My car never so dirty and covered in sand as it was when I left it parked for two days at the hotel. They charged parking fee per night (about $25/per night) and I do expect at least some care for the parked cars. So, I'd say it's ok to stay there but not the best.

I arrived at the beautiful hotel property to find no available parking spots in the hotel parking lot and had to park on a nearby street. Once I entered the hotel I overheard 2 employees having a conversation with some extremely vulgar language. I was greeted at the front desk by an guest service agent (hotel receptionist) that looked at me with a blank stare and said "what's up?". I replied with my name and advised him the I had a reservation . The hotel receptionist replied with "so you're here to check-in?" with a sarcastic, questionable look on his face. I have never felt so disrespected and unwelcome to any business or establishment, let alone a hotel that I paid to visit. I have stayed at this hotel multiple times a year and will not be returning.

Front desk service terrible, as never seen before, he never notified me that my room was ready, I had to call at 6pm and he said he forgot to notify us. Asked for late check out and he confirmed but system was never updated and keys stopped working. Because of this experience I will definitely will not recommend to stay here, I will definitely will never comeback to this place. front desk personnel were terrible rude.

We had a wonderful time. A supervisor at Hotels.com helped make changes to our stay after the first option left me standing outside with no key to get into my reservation. Doubletree was the right place to land. It’s walking distance from many tourist sights. Friendly workers. Overall a good stay.

PROS: The room was very clean, and the staff were very Professional. CONS: The TV would not get any local news channels, the breakfast buffet was expensive, and the pancakes were soggy & mushy from condensation because the lids were lefty on. The scrambled eggs were wet from condensation because the lids were left on.

The young man who worked at the front desk was helpful, friendly & efficient. He also had cookies! Parking is available & very convenient for the area. The bar & restaurant is convenient but the brunch was overpriced, $14 for a continental breakfast & $17 if you add eggs & bacon. It was not good. Even if it was it wasn’t worth it. When I originally booked the room I swear the it said the continental breakfast was free. The pool & hot tub were very nice. However the chairs & towel’s available were worn & in disrepair. When we checked in the room was very nice & clean. The next morning we went out for the day. We didn’t return until late in the day. Our room hadn’t been touched. No clean towels, the beds weren’t made, the bathroom was not cleaned, garbage hadn’t been emptied & there wasn’t another roll of toilet paper to replace the one that ran out. I went to the front desk. We had the same man that checked us in. He apologized & said he would try to take care of it. He did get us towels & toilet paper. The next day we ran out of conditioner. Again we headed out for the day. Towels were replaced & the garbage emptied. That’s all that was done. Conditioner wasn’t filled. Beds weren’t made. Sink & tub were not cleaned. We our last 2 days we didn’t see her. We had a pile of towels with no where to put them. I was happy with the room originally, parking, location & the young man at the front desk. The rest left a lot to be desired.
