Extended Stay America Suites - Tampa - Airport - N Westshore Blvd

Pool was never open although it was the 4th of July weekend. There was no running water in our first day there. Intercontinental breakfast never happened just plain coffee. It look like it was a renovation going on and nobody explained a thing. I will never going back to this hotel and absolutely I will not recommend this hotel to anybody.

Be careful- internet costs extra; for short stsy it was ok.

Staff friendly and welcoming even though our arrival was after midnight. Desk staff apologetic that “hotel decided recently to discontinue airport shuttle service”. Grab and Go breakfast was very unappetizing and paltry, ie, no milk for coffee,only one package of instant oatmeal left, only food left was muffins. This hotel was not a good value for the cost.

They advertise a continental breakfast, which is a total joke. Coffee (if you get there early enough), instant oatmeal packets and maybe a tiny muffin or Nutri grain bar if you're lucky. The property is next to a strip club and the area isn't the best, but not the worst. Some of the front desk staff were friendly, but most were not. I had to get a new key almost every time I left the room because they didn't work. The air conditioner broke, and the hallway smelled like a locker room and along with a strong odor of marijuana. The washing machine I used didn't drain and my clothes were stained as a result. The only thing that was semi-nice was that the sheets on my bed were clean, and the bed wasn't awful. There are several hotels close to the area that were similar in price and much nicer. I would avoid this hotel if possible.

The room had a terrible stench of cigarette and grass. I asked the front desk for something for the smell and they we not able to accommodate another room or air freshener. We had to buy our own air freshener just to be able to tolerate the smell. The pool access was not working and all the lounge chairs were terribly damaged that they were unusable. The room for the most part was clean but the bed was super uncomfortable and the pillows were just flat with no filling at all.

Says renovated in January… the carpets in the hall way were torn up. I know it’s an extended stay but it sure seemed like most of the people there lived there long term. No amenities in the room. No plates, silverware, etc. Our room smelled terrible- like curry had been cooked in there every day for months. The smell was permanent in the room.

While the property was adequate for our stay, it was basic. The property and room were clean and neat. Staff was friendly. We walked across the road to Olive Garden. A steakhouse was next door. We were shocked to find that there were no kitchen supplies in the room. Everything was held at the front desk. Even glasses had to be requested.

This property has convenient parking for the airport. It’s easy to use their park and pay without any hassles. Would stay again.

The lobby was dirty. A cockroach greeted us upon arrival in our room.Unfortunately,due to flight delays, we arrived at 2 AM, so no where to go at the late hour. The towels were grey instead of white. The front desk personnel was cheery and nice.

This property was dirty! The did not have any towel or clean linen. I was told to get clean towels I had to give them the dirty ones and wait until the staff arrived to to laundry. There was no eating utensils available I was told they do not have anyone to do the dishes. The pool was fitly and carpet throughout the hallways smelled like a dog kennel. The beds had no lines and was soiled with stains I was appauled.

Booked this property becuase it had good reviews but now im thinking they were all fake. This rooms was nasty. Dirty bathroom with hair clippings everywhere. Dirty sheets with make residue And stains on the walls. There is a gentlemans club right scross the parking lot so im sure this hotel gets a ton of business

The guy working the front desk was great! Room was big and fit my family great. Tub was dirty, no bedding for the pullout bed and a live roach was on the pullout bed (I have a video of it) took about 30-45mins for us to get another room and they actually sent someone up to check that we wasn’t lying.

Dirty smelly not very clean environment

Worst hotel ever! We checked in to find a dirty room, actual pee stained sheet on the pull out bed, laundry room was out of order with a puddle on the floor and wet towels, and the microwave was so tiny and didn’t work. My child had her shoes off for 3 minutes and her feet were filthy. We immediately checked out without even opening our bags. The only good thing was the manager was helpful and apologetic.

Bathroom walls with mold, toilet extremely dirty Broken dish washer, chairs extremely dirty, roaches by the nightstands, broken soap holder, broken ac remote cover. Lady at front asked to bring trash to front desk. Towel rack broken, microwave dirty, vent extremely dirty and moldy. Not phone in the room, keys kept getting deactivated over and over Pictures were share with front desk.

We got two rooms, and they put us on separate floors. These rooms were disgusting. My daughter’s feet were black from the floor. It smelled like mold, ripped furniture, holes in the walls. I mean it was definitely not worth $105! Absolutely do not stay here! And breakfast was a joke!

Room Bathrooms were dirty and broken tiles, no shower pressure. No hot water in rooms , breakfast was non existent, no coffee, front desk was unavailable half the time.

There where holes in the sheets for the beds there was roaches too

Convenient location close enough to both the airport and the cruise terminal, was very nice and a good value for what my friends and I needed. Breakfast was nice and the rooms are big.

The volume of the noise is so loud from the neighboring rooms door closing. The room next door had what sounded like a large dog barking everyday and the walls are so thin there isn’t really any privacy whatsoever. The first morning I was woken by the fire alarms going off throughout the entire hotel for about 10-15 minutes straight of the annoying screeching noise. Wish there were more options for their breakfast selection. Was pretty disappointed with the very minimal options. At least have a fruit or fruit choices.

Place is getting old & is in need of remodeling badly. Toilet worked but didn't flush well, bathroom sink stopper disconnected so it could not hold water, dishwasher did not work, coffee machine was extremely small & we were constantly going to front desk for coffee, furniture, counter tops all beat up. If you are looking to save money though & not staying at the property except to sleep, this is your place for sure. Very close to 2 malls & many stores & restaurants.

Nice clean room, courteous staff , the lighting was very dim though. The grab and go breakfast was okay except they didn't have any oatmeal like they said they would. Generally a very nice stay though.

The property’s location to the airport is perfect if you have a super early flight. The room was very clean but the property itself is extremely dated. Looks like they started renovations but didn’t do the kitchens and bathrooms yet. Needs updating instead of being stuck with 1987 fixtures and appliances and 2020 decor. It was a little pricey for what I experienced but convenient and good only for a few hours.

Walls were super thin because you can hear everything from rooms next door.

Was a good place . Had a full kitchen. Was a spacious room qnd very cool and clean. Staff was very nice.

We liked everything but the water pressure to take a shower was not good everyone was upset that we couldnt take a shower and i couldnt give my 4 year old a bath because the water faucet didnt go down to let the water run.

The property was clean but we had to go to the front desk for towels because the cleaning crew come twice a week i didn't understand that but that what i was told

We booked this hotel due to it having two full beds and a sleeper sofa. We had 5 adults and 1 child to accommodate. The check in receptionist was extremely rude and seemed bothered that we were checking in. She stated several times that she had been playing “musical chairs” with rooms because they had several rooms that couldn’t be booked because they hadn’t been cleaned. When we got to our room it was missing the sleeper sofa. I went back to the desk to request another room explaining that we needed another bed. Again, the front desk clerk was rude and said they were completely booked and she could give me blankets to sleep in the hardwood floor or she could give me a refund and we could go somewhere else. At this point it was past 1:30 in the morning and we had drove 12 hrs to get there and we only needed the one night. I asked if we could get a sofa or a mattress from one of the sofas in a room that hadn’t been cleaned and she refused. We got a partial refund from Expedia for the inconvenience, but the hotel refused to accommodate us in any way. We ended up pushing the two beds together and sleeping that way for 4 hrs. We then got up to get the “breakfast” that was included, and all that was available was instant oatmeal packets, hot water, and cold coffee. It was still early when my husband went down and so he asked if there was more getting put out. The morning shift front desk clerk told him no, that this is what a continental breakfast consists of.

Staying at this hotel was great!!! The customer service was on the next level, hotel employees were friendly and Helpful.

Will never stay here again. Gave us a dirty room. Then the second room was clean but people above and beside us were unbelievably loud. Front desk never answered phone calls. Employees barely present at the front desk. Did not feel welcomed. Felt completely unsafe as people circled the hotel and walked in and out without any concern from staff.

No one was at the front desk for check in for at least 10 minutes and we had small children who were very tired. There was only one staff member available at check in time. Had to call the customer service number to call the hotel to get someone to check us in.

It was clean enough and fit my needs for the stay, however, the staff were pretty rude with the exception of one gentleman working the desk. Staff attempted to charge us for another night claiming they “only receive payment 7 days at a time” despite us paying in full. Made us call expedia support before finally letting it go. The lobby also had a stanky fish smell for about 3 days. “Breakfast” is just coffee and cheap muffins, but overall this place isn’t awful. Just not great either.

Stayed due to a canceled flight on Dec 23. 3rd floor room was clean & smelled nice , paper thin walls could hear tv in room next to us all night. Our room had no trash bins , mattress was good but sleep was restless due to next room. Checked in after 6:00pm puts an additional 100$ deposit on CC checked out before 10:00am dec 24th. Still have no deposit back from night stay. Home on Dec 25th and get an alert for a $50.00 charge from hotel. Immediately called and was told it was a smoking fee who neither one of us are smokers . I never smelled smoke in the room knowing as a non smoker I would not have stayed in a smoking room and if it was would have requested to change rooms. Mgmt assured me both the $100.00 and the $50.00 will be credited back to my CC. As of today Dec 26th no credit from either has been returned. Hopefully they are true to their words . On our way out there is no full breakfast only coffee and granola bars a grab n go no choices. Parking lot was semi cleaned . Elevator and stairway has an aweful smell I can not describe. I wished the hotel could have been a more hospitable inviting stay to leave a better review especially around the holidays and the mess we were already in due to a canceled flight.

We needed towels and the hotel was out. They took our dirty towels and told us to come back in 2 hours when they were washed and dried. It was 6 pm and we had just come from the beach.

Our deposit was charged twice and we have to wait 7-10 business days to get this fixed. No extra towels when requested and no hair dryer in the room. The continental breakfast was muffins, oatmeal and coffee.

We weren’t able to check in bc the rooms were all booked. We need a refund. We ended up staying at a different hotel

The pictures online were very misleading, the room we were give was not nice at all. Smelled bad, mini kitchen was gross, refrigerator was all rusted in the side, scratches all over the cabinets, AC unit was broken, hanging parts from underneath. Stinky smell coming from AC unit. floors weren’t very clean. Neighborhood sketchy, strip bar if front of hotel. We left, didn’t stay there.

Honestly it may have been the single worst hotel experience I have ever had. Rusted shower head, no outlets by the bed, close proximity to multiple strip clubs. Genuinely awful

No street sign to the property, located directly behind a strip club, not a family hotel Room #131, Shower head hanging, Bathtub old and scatched up.Hair dryer missing, vanity top stained and scratched up, pull out couch mattress disgusting, no desk help in AM for early check out. windows not locked when arrived on first floor. Should not open on first floor with schetchy traffic walking by. Don't know if I got my mandatory $100 fee back they take at check in, hotel needs major upgrades and identity revamp, Never again will stay at this chain

It is not a safe place for families with children. The hotel is dirty and has a strong smell of marijuana. From the moment you enter you realize that people use the hotel for housing, prostitution and drugs. The hotel is next to an adult entertainment club. We paid for a room with two queen beds and they gave us a room with a full bed and they indicated they could not make the change because they were full. The room was poorly cleaned and we noticed that there was an open prophylactic under the bed. We went to customer service to report the situation and request cleaning and they told us they were short staffed. They did not have to provide sheets or additional pillows. At night you can hear the dog barking in the rooms, a lot of movement in the hallways with people coming and going and excessive noises. We spent the night because there were no more hotels available and we went to the airport in the early morning to spend the remaining hours since it was a safer place.

This place is old. Needs renovations urgently. Beds are awful and the bed sheets should be updated ASAP. Staff seem to be tired all the time. They say they offer breakfast but it is just snack bars and coffee.

Breakfast is very desappointing

Expedia advertised your hotel as having breakfast in the morning. Small little muffins and a container of coffee is NOT breakfast. Please stop advertising as such!! I was deeply disappointed that there wasn't anything else available. False advertising for sure..And whoever proof-reads these....I did NOT break any of the 3 rules that were mentioned. There isn't any profanity and there isn't any personal information. Please post this or I will get on social media and blast Expedia and stop using it and switch to another app.

While the staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was def showing its age. We stayed in a room that was an extended stay room, even though we were only there for a few hours. There was no coffee maker in the room and when it came to the "free breakfast" the choices were either a chocolate muffin or plain instant oatmeal. Knowing we were going to be getting up and heading out, we picked here because of the breakfast, only to be disappointed when the 2 options weren't anything my kids would eat, Also when my husband went down the first time there was no coffee and only one muffin, he went down while we were getting dressed and they had refilled the coffee and put out a couple more muffins, but ,ind you this was with a couple hours left of the free breakfast

Overnight stay to catch our cruise. Price was RIGHT! Friendly stay. Pretty clean. Comfy beds. Continental breakfast needs a little help.
