Fairly priced stay near the Port of New Orleans. Good parking options and I enjoyed the safety of the gated-type grounds. Pool and spa were nice.

The hotel is over a largish site. We stayed over the pool which was lovely and clean. In the evening it stayed open till 10pm. Rooms have fridge, hairdryer, microwave. Ice machine on bottom floor. Streetcar stop outside great location but want quiter than middle of New Orleans

Its in one of my favorite areas and close to everything. The cutest place Ive stayed. The pool and hot tub were extra bonuses after a long day of exploring. Will definitely be staying here next time Im in town!

Our room was clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed the courtyards. Only thing I would like to note is that the stairwell right outside our room needed replacement lights. It was too dark to navigate safely in the evenings.

Older hotel paint bubbling up on walls in room, but room was clean, beds comfortable. Nice pool and lovely courtyard. Felt safe. About a mile walk to Bourbon street and felt safe walking back at night. Walking was faster than Lift/Uber due to traffic. Great place to stay with kids away from the French Quarter. The hot tub was barely warm and dirty/ oily.

Great stay, staff was friendly. On site security and parking was easy. We took an Urber everywhere so we could be free from having to find parking in the city. Rooms are kinda on the smaller side but we was in them long. Great seafood restaurant next door. This will be our go to hotel from now on. Glad i found this place.

The room was clean and comfortable. They did not have extra bedding for the pull out couch. The bathroom doors did not lock. The tub had no faucet for water so you would have to use the shower head to fill the tub. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was clean and hot tub very enjoyable. Overall good stay but some updating could be nice.

Parking should be included. Imagine my surprise when I was asked to pay $29.95 per night……

They have a great little pool and a bunch of nice courtyards!

The room itself was filthy they do not dust at all the hotel look as if it was before Katrina with all the damages that it had

Really enjoyed my stay for Essence. Location was perfect, 5 min drive to the bourbon st or arena. Staff great, enjoyed my me time in the beautiful courtyard early mornings and late unbothered.

The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. The courtyard was nice to relax in, and it was very quiet.

The room was average. It could use some cleaning. The glass in the shower is covered in soap scum and the decor around the vanity mirror is full of dust. The door had a crack big enough that light came thru it. Had to ask two days in a row for my headboard to be reattached to the wall because it was detached when I arrived. The front desk personell was polite, but lacked warmth. The fact that a person has to sit guard at the back drive all night made me uneasy.

Please look at the photos! The hotel room had stains on the walls, mattress, curtains, floorboards, and lamp shades. The bedding felt like it had crumbs between the sheets, even after we asked the cleaners change them. The bathroom had mold and because of the design of the shower the floor would always get wet. Worst of all there were cockroaches, which conveniently didn’t come out till our last night. Hotels.com did nothing to help us find new arrangements. Please learn from my mistake. Do not come here.

Very clean

I didn't like the property at all never came to clean or give new towels or anything. They came and threw our trash away in the room the day before check out trash cans were over full. The pictures for the property did no justice flow had pieces of wood missing, floor was creaking. And one of the rooms began to leak from the rain and when we told the front desk they sent a maintenence man with towels to wipe up the water. For $1300 this place was awful and I should have recieved more than $100 deposit back for the room it was a disaster would not recommend this hotel for anyone to stay in.

I’m honestly surprised to see positive comments about the staff’s friendliness, as that wasn’t my experience at all. When I checked in on October 28, there was an amazing woman at the front desk who made us feel welcome, but that was the only positive interaction. Every other staff member we dealt with seemed to have a poor attitude, and my friends and I felt they were dismissive and unhelpful. Throughout the week, I had some simple questions but received dry, unwelcoming responses. The biggest issue, however, was housekeeping. For the last two days of our stay, our room wasn’t cleaned. On the first of those days, after multiple requests, we finally asked just for fresh towels since there weren’t enough racks to hang towels for three people. Unfortunately, housekeeping didn’t come back with towels until we pushed further the next day. Despite assurances from someone claiming to be the housekeeping manager that our room would be cleaned by 5 p.m., we returned to find it untouched and no trash removed. When I raised these concerns with the front desk, I was told there was nothing they could do. They even refused to take out the bags of trash piling up in our room and suggested we talk to someone the next day – knowing we had an early checkout. There was no attempt to offer any real solution, which left us feeling unheard and dismissed. I’ve never felt compelled to leave a review like this before, but the way we were treated was disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend here.

Cute, walkable and convenient to the streetcar and to get an uber(pick up or drop off). Neighborhood offers a lot of things to do (food options, bars, shops). Pool was a bit dirty on our stay but it did rain lightly a few times. We were given a far room which was fine, just thought it was odd since we passed several that were empty. We didn’t get housekeeping service after our 1st night but they did end up coming. The giant gap at the bottom of the door was a bit annoying. Light got in, ac escaped but we made it work (used a towel to block light/heat). Overall I’d stay there again.

Subject: Request for Compensation – Room Cleaning Issue Dear Mrs as Hotel Manager, I hope this message finds you well. We recently stayed at Maison St. Charles from july 2nd to july 8th 2025 at room #219 and while we enjoyed some aspects of our visit ( situation and welcome, breakfast ) , we were very disappointed that our room was not cleaned on 5 out of the 6 days of our stay. Bed, sheets change, bathroom sink and shower, ground never been cleaned We were obliged to request 3 times at the front desk some new towels realizing ,when coming back from our visits the room was not cleaned up. Also obliged to request at the front desk the day before check out a toilett brush to clean our toilets by ourself. This situation is not normal and very frustrating. Given this inconvenience, we would kindly like to request a goodwill gesture or some form of compensation for the lack of housekeeping services during our stay. Thank you in advance for your understanding and attention to this matter. We look forward to hearing from you. The above complain has been notified at check out giving you our email for your return. I have mixed feelings about this hotel. Greeting at front desk on arrival was friendly and even checked us in two hours early. While sitting by the pool area trying to relax a housekeeper was on the phone yelling screaming cussing saying the f word due to girl drama. So unprofessional. The hotel itself was nice but the beds in the room were way to high. My husband is 5'9" and had a difficult time getting up. We had to put a suitcase down on the floor for my 87 year mother in law to step up on which was hazardous for her. We did ask for a step stool , but they had nothing. Breakfast was not good with having frozen eggs. Breakfast was not stocked well due to kitchen employees talking to other employees and then I was told to wait until she gets through talking. When checking out told the girl about the bed and she just laughed did not offer an apology. I asked to know the ending price and she would not provide due to went through a third party. I am giving it a 3 out of five. Due to location and the hotel itself is nice. Not sure if we we will be back. Stayed there for two nights post cruise and for Saints game

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was cute and cozy. The WiFi didn’t work very well in my room.

This is my second stay at this hotel. It's conveniently located to restaurants, stores and things to do. The Streetcar stops right in front of the hotel to take you anywhere you want to do. The rooms are spacious, beds are very comfortable. There is a small refrigerator, microwave, safe, hair dryer, iron and small bottles of toiletries in the room. We did notice some dusty areas in our room this time. We didn't eat breakfast so there's no review on it. The staff was amazing. The only staff who really wasn't friendly or helpful was the young lady who checked us in. We called to request adjoining or at least side by side rooms with other family members. We were sharing a cooler and wanted to be close by. Upon arrival they told us we weren't close to each other. She looked at her computer for awhile before saying she could move us close to each other. Turns out we were in different buildings but had rooms on the corners. If we walked out of our rooms, leaned over the balcony to the building next to us we could see each other. Not very convenient. This was a little frustrating bc we had made the request and reservations ahead of time and was told it wasn't a problem to get them close. This was the only issue we had. Definitely will stay again.

The only think negative would be the light coming in from the window over the door. Other than that, it was perfection. Cold AC! Big shower! Hot water! Comfy bed. Price was great.

The heating system kept blowing cool air, even when we turned the temperature up as the weather cooled off a lot.

Room amenities are poor. No real curtains so the street lights are very bright, like daytime all day!!!! Asked management to help, they said "yes" but still nothing done 2 days later. Suites are NOT suites but larger rooms---very disappointing.

Mattress was comfortable but bed was too high. Clean towels were provided only when we requested.

This was the nicest stay I've had after many stays in New Orleans to date. Parking was right across the street. The front desk staff was nice, helpful and patient with all my questions. There were very friendly, professional security officers placed intermittently throughout the property so we felt completely safe. The property is also conveniently located to just about anywhere you'd like to go in NOLA. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again!

I stayed here for duration of 4 days and during my stay there was several issues but were minor and I overlooked such as duct tape on the window to cover too much light coming in, unsanitary bed sheets and stuffiness of the room from not enough airflow coming in. What troubled me was the morning of June 30th someone attempted to enter our room a gentleman and a woman claiming this was their room and front desk gave them a key. My husband was thankfully there and told them to leave and this was our room they persisted to try to enter our room my husband and I were frightened that night and during our stay there. The morning of we reported the issue to the front desk and no one reached out we followed up and again and they stated management would call us. We asked for a new room they said no we asked for a refund they said no. I was pregnant and I just wanted to feel safe during my stay and they did not care and did not attempt to resolve the situation. This is by far the worse hotel I’ve ever stayed at and Expedia did nothing to assist.

The staff members were very pleasant and helpful. They were also knowledgable about transit, food and so many other things that helped me enjoy the city. The room and linens were very clean.

I can’t emphasize enough how wonderful our stay was. Everything was great. From the check in to the check out. The staff is AMAZING. We can’t wait to come back and visit again

No hot water. I took a cold shower. I was also charged for parking when we did not use parking. I was dropped off by a family member. The front desk asked if we needed parking. I said no. I was still charged for it. I called to talk to a manager to get the charges taken off and he was the rudest person I have ever dealt with, and I work in hospitality. He did not care and basically called me a liar. He said that the front desk would have to go through 10 different things to add parking so I must have parked here. He was extremely rude.

Overall, the hotel was good. However, the staff was quite rude at times and I had several incidents that inconvenienced me. After checking in, I saw that I was given the wrong room type. I informed the staff and I was told that I had to keep that room because they didn’t have any queen bed rooms left. They called me 15 mins later and was asked if I still wanted to switch rooms. After walking to the front lobby to get new keys, I walked to the new room only to discover that it was the wrong room type again. I called the front and they sent someone to my room with keys for a 3rd room. The 3rd room was the correct room type. My iron was removed from my room and when I called to inform the staff, I was rushed off the phone and didn’t get an apology. I had to wait 20 mins to get a new iron which inconvenienced me even more.

So we stayed there Sunday may 11th to Wednesdays may 14th. Our total stay cost $299.63. Upon check in we were charged $399.63 which covered the reservation costs and deposit. I was told then that the deposit would be refunded between 7 to 10 days after checkout. At checkout on Wednesday i spoke to kewonda (sp) and was told i never paid for my stay. I showed her on my phone my bank statement showing where they took $399.63 and also took $85.32 for parking for 3 days. She said they don’t show that i ever paid and i have to pay again. She tried to run my card and it declined because they had already gotten the payment on Sunday. I called my bank on speaker phone and the bank representative told kewonda that maison st charles already received the payment and that their bank had it as pending still. While on hold with the bank the automated message gave my checking account balance of $288. Right then when kewonda heard that she ran my card for an additional $281!!! She emptied my checking account AFTER MY BANK TOLD HER THEY ALREADY TOOK THE $399.63 AND $85.32. When i told her that left me with $7 to drive from new orleans to Indiana her response was "you left yourself with no money" and laughed and said "good luck"! I called the police- they said its a civil matter and i need to sue the hotel. So nowim stuck in new orleans with $7, nowhere to stay and no money to get home and maison st charles owes me $381!!!! I was told i have to wait 7 to 10 business days. Will never go back.

Manager Kiwanna attended to my needs and was very hospitable! Her and her staff. Mr. Jesse is always on point as well.

Awesome get away near downtown and lees circle. Walking distance to many restaurants and bars. Definitely need to check out Mr Ed’s next door

Great hotel with lovely staff and a welcoming environment. Very close to numerous restaurants along St. Charles and Magazine St. There is a trolly stop right in front of the hotel that takes you directly to both the French Quarter and Tulane. Also a short bus/drive to City Park. Unbeatable location, price, and environment!

Beds were comfortable. Enjoyed the location being right at a street car stop. Easy parking.

Overall the place was clean. STAFF SUPER FRIENDLY!!! but pictures are misleading a little. We did ask for turn down services, came back after being gone for hours, and the room was not cleaned. We asked for more towels… I even went to the front desk and they said someone will bring them to the room. We never got them. The location was awesome tons of food places around the area. We thought the neighborhood was sketchy, but actually safe and nice around. We did not partake in the pool or breakfast, but it looked clean and delicious.

This was a great place to stay during my time in New Orleans. It was central with a lot of food options and places to visit. It was walking distance to the Super Dome so it worked out perfect. Bayou classic and saints game was great with the help of this stay.

The Maison St. Charles has been our go to hotel in New Orleans for several years. It's location is incredible. Right on St. Charles Ave. with a streetcar stop literally outside the front the door. Staff was courteous and helpful at all times. This is a great, moderately priced small hotel.

The property had multiple courtyards which were quiet with beautiful landscaping. Great Place for morning coffee. It is a short walk or Streetcar Ride to the French Quarter or the World War II Museum.

I really enjoyed my stay! It was close enough to the Conference Center that I could walk there every day, right on the streetcar line, and an easy walk to Bourbon Street. It was also charming in its own way. I would definitely stay there again!!

Rooms are a bit outdated. Location was next to St Charles streetcar line, making transit to other areas such as French Quarter, Convention Center, and Bourbon St very convenient.

Location is perfect for home base while visiting. Close to restaurants, street cars, and shopping. Location is safe and secure. Rooms are nice and quiet.

The staff was friendly. Our room comfortable. Liked the snack and drink machines outside our door. Coffee in the am was delicious. Cafe breakfast the best I have ever had for $15. Excellent pastries fresh made, biscuits and gravy and grits, fresh fruit and juice, yogurt, so much more! Enjoyed the pool. Location was a little far from the Jazz fest but there were buses that got you there within an hour. Difficult to get home from fest on the bus. One night it took us 2 hours and we still called an Uber for the final stretch. We also rode the St. Charles Street Car which was a great cultural experience. We Love the people, food and music of New Orleans!

Nice location for walking to activities. Room was not stocked with enough towels for the 4 people booked to stay in our room. Bathroom and room need a little TLC; bath drain clogged, no holder for hand soap bar which became a mess on the sink after a few days, shower room needs an overhaul to improve dingy feel, missing artwork from walls with hardware still present. Free breakfast was included in our stay at time of booking but my credit card continued to be charged each morning for breakfast even after a daily discussion with the desk staff regarding the mistake. Location felt safe but was noisy due to surrounding area and poor insulation of the walls. Breakfast buffet was mediocre.

My family of three visited the week before the Mardi Gras craziness. The hotel staff, the grounds, the room, the lobby - was all amazing! From check in to check out, we were very impressed and so blown away by the customer service and attentiveness! Breakfast was delish and so clean in the eating area. We were overall beyond happy with our experience.
