Shower didn't drain, had to stand in 8 inches of water. Heater temperature was way off. Elevator was semi broken. Door window in eating area was broken leaving the room exposed to 10 degree weather. Front desk personnel were nice.

The room smelled of marijuana soon as we walked in. One of the beds boxed spring was completely broken so bed leaned 1st night off to one side the had to come in and completely take bed out and bring new one in. Poles was sticking out my friend hit and bruised her leg. When they moved bed it was food all under it. Maintenance man was very nice tho. You couldn’t bring breakfast food out cafeteria so you had to get up early go down and eat instead of bringing back to your room it was only boiled eggs and waffles the man that works there is very nice tho the pool doesn’t open till 11am and was closed entire 3 days for reasons unknown and that was main reason we booked. Service was fine staff was helpful but we’ll never be back I guess you get what you pay for and $65/nt we got nothing lol

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. We stayed here before going on a cruise and the hotel offers free parking for the duration of your trip. Your car is behind an automated locked gate with security cameras. We will be staying here every time we are in the area.

cleanliness and comfort, and staff are great. The pool was remarkably clean and so warm it was perfect ( if warm weather and that temp maintains the pool will probably be great well into the fall ). Internet service was completely OFF on the first night, I guess due to the weather. I didn't care, BUT, there are some people that will complain about anything. I think the TV is tied to the internet so no internet meant no TV, again, I don't care. Since everyone uses a phone to do everything anyway, it was not an inconvenience. What matters, the clean, comfort, & staff were all great.

Had a nice size pool but was really dirty lots of trash floating in pool felt gross to swim in. Had some gazebos in the back lot along with grills which are a good option if you want to cook some meat

It was a one night stay. The hotel is fair for the price. The bedroom was very clean and neat. The bathroom could use a little of care because it’s a little outdated but it was clean. As I said, it reflects the price but it was very clean. If anyone it’s on a budget and thinking about it go for it. If it’s someone looking for 5stars hotel then look and pay for it. I don’t know why people have such high expectations of a $50/night hotel. It’s clean, quite a secure. Only thing I noticed was a strong smell on the first floor but I was on the third floor so that did not bother me. Breakfast was wack which did not bother me neither. As I said it was a cheap hotel and I think the cleanliness was worth the price. Oh and my deposit was given back :)

Trident was VERY Clean, Housekeeping cleaned my room everyday (wasn't expected-post COVID). Neighborhood was Safe. Super Bowl weekend price was FANTASTIC last minute. Staff was Friendly!!

This is a hidden gem. The room was super clean. The room was also very spacious. There were amenities for bathing and washing your hands. The room had a medium sized refrigerator, microwave and a coffee maker. There is a continental breakfast with waffles, cereal, boiled eggs, coffee and orange juice it was enough to start your day. There are some rough patches but it is in the process of being ironed out. There is security parking behind a gate and the parking area is clean. The cleaning staff is also very polite, helpful and professional. The owner of the hotel is also very nice, professional and hands on to improve the standing of the hotel. I highly recommend this location for your stay in New Orleans. It has become my new go to hotel whenever I am in New Orleans.

I don't even know what to say about this Review i'm about to do... So I'll just say the front desk clerk Nelle She was AWESOME and AMAZING! and she was the best part of Trident Inn & Suites! I know when you come to Louisiana. There's all kinds of bugs and lizards and things Chirpin, Dancing, jerkin, and walking around. But, honey, when it comes to the ROACHES... They had big roaches, medium roaches, small roaches, baby roaches. Invisible roaches, honey, there were ROACHES everywhere, The bathroom, The walls the floor which was hard to see. Because it was dark and then they even came out of the microwave when we opened it! That's disgusting and I cannot so we left because That's just something I can NOT do. And there was ROACHES everywhere! So otherwise the ROACHES & if you don't mind ROACHES this place is real cool

The hotel is very outdated. There were bugs found in the hotel. The room smelled moldy. They have Roku tvs but no Roku remote. The remote they had didn’t operate the tv so we had to go buy our own.

The air in my room didn’t work well… it probably stayed at 70-75 degrees. And I have to have it 68ish to sleep. Since I wasn’t in the room long during the day, I didn’t notice a the lack of air until I woke up in the middle of the night sweating. It took me a few hours to fall back to sleep due to being uncomfortable

The room was clean and bedding was clean. The hotel and rooms need updating Bathroom had water damage to wall. On 3rd morning no hot water manager is giving us a discount. Didnt do breakfast due to it being all carbs.

The room was clean but the tub was old and dated. The breakfast was not really breakfast. It consisted of waffles (the waffle iron was extremely dirty), a gallon of milk, yogurt, cereal, and bread. We did not eat any of it and found a Waffle House down the road!

We were traveling last minute to New Orleans for an appointment with the passport office. Didn’t want to stay in the heart of downtown so we chose the Trident. The rate was very reasonable. The rooms are older but the bed was clean and it was a very quiet evening to rest. The shower walls were peeling and there was a crack in the toilet tank lid but these things were cosmetic and didn’t effect function. The front desk clerk was friendly and checked us in and out quickly. The continental breakfast is light (juice, cereal, yogurt, bread/bagel/small muffins).

This hotel is quite the contrary of the bad reviews. The staff is friendly and very hospitable. The owner is great. Made sure my stay was more than exceptional. I would recommend Trident to anyone who is coming to visit or simply needing a getaway. My room was welcoming and comfortable, and beds are clean and tidy upon arrival. The bedding smelled like it had actually been washed. The breakfast is alright, nothing extravagant, but will get you full.

The hotel was nice, quiet, and clean but the security guard/ janitor was rude. I didn’t know the café was closed, but I only went in for a FORK and got called a “crazy lady”. that's my fault for not knowing it was closed but the talking back crying wasn’t needed. Also when it was time to check out he said “check out” with the hand motioning to leave which was also not needed. The rest of the staff talked with respect and like they wanted to be at work. I wanted to come back, but he is a big NO for me!

When i went to the front desk to ask for towels the staff was rude. I ask for towels and the clerk said YOU NEED TO BRING THE OLD ONES. i said ok and when will i get the new ones he said in an hour. I said i was leaving in a hour he began to yell saying you trying to tell my hiw to do my job? I said what?? And i informed her I NEVER WILL TRY TO TELL you hiw to do your job BECAUSE I WILL NEVER WORK FOR A HOTEL . I LEFT AND WILL NOT SPEND MY MONEY WITH A COMPANY TO BE DISRESPECTED!

I am not normally one for negative reviews, i have stayed in bad hotels before, so that's not what provoked this review. The customer service was terrible. We arrived, room was clean but missing a towel for our 2 person reservation. There were no phones in the room so my husband went to desk to request towel. He was not properly listened to, and she requested a return of towels which didn't make sense considering we had just arrived and all we needed was a second towel. She then offered him one clean and one dirty (yes you heard me right!) I believe despite his refusal he was still given a dirty towel. Our second day room service didn't come at all, and i had to return to the desk and explain the issue to the once again rude front desk woman. (With used towels and rags in hand) She did however spring into action upon realizing, my room had not been attended and this time gave us clean linen in exchange for our dirty. No garbage was collected that day. Breakfast was from 7am.to 9am. And not 1 second after, they would rope it off. The breakfast was not continental, they offered a waffle maker and dry products.The juice machine was broken, there were signs for broken things everywhere which caused me to miss the no food outside the breakfast area sign that the owner very rudely eve's dropped on my phone conversation to fuss at me about. When I had absolutely no food in my hand whatsoever. My toilet broke, we were handed a plunger to fix,bathroom door was broke. Not good stay.

I waited 20 minutes before someone showed up to the front desk for check in. When I arrive to my room, there wasn’t one single car in the parking lot, felt very odd. Location was also kinda far away from the downtown area.

Perfect for a quick weekend trip. The location was about 20 minutes from downtown. Our room was nice and quiet, very peaceful. This is a decent place to book if you have a lot of plans and just need a place to sleep between activities. Nothing super fancy, but we weren’t looking for fancy. It was perfect for our needs.

When i walked in it smelled so good.nice lounge area..Check in was easy with only a fifty dollar deposit not the hundred mentioned online.hotel is gated for your safety which was a plus for me! So you cant get in the gate or doors without the key card! Room was clean and spacious. Bed slept like a cloud. The shower water get so hot you dont want to get out! Small breakfast was served from 7-9am. Those muffins put me back to sleep! I was so surprised at this hotel being so ducked off. And thats exactly what i needed because it was still close to everything! Def my new spot to stay! Such a nice and respectful staff!

Did like the fenced in parking area. Didn't like the smell in the room that was making us feel a bit sick. A smell like extreme disinfectant or not sure what it was. The continental breakfast was okay except the juice machine was broke. Perhaps a gallon of juice could have been substituted so we would have something to drink besides coffee.
