Room was comfortable, quiet and well maintained. I had an excellent stay. Looking at online reviews, I see some have complained about the fitness center at this property. Based on other major chain hotels I have visited in recent years, I thought it was relatively well equipped. There are 3 small rooms chock full of equipment, including a leg press machine, as well as all the more typical stuff (treadmills, stationery cycles, elliptical, etc. etc.) My only complaint was the destination fee, though this might be standard practice at all hotels in New Orleans. I don't know. As a captive consumer, I see it as a bit of unfair "nickeling and diming".

You have to velvet park your vehicle; which is $58 per day, and every time I needed my car staff was looking for a money tip. My windows were down, they turned my lights off of auto setting, I had a police officer stop me on the streets of New Orleans to bring issue to my attention, how embarrassing! On top of a $130 on hold on my credit card. I have not yet received my final bill and I don’t know how much of that was refunded back to me. Bedding was dirty, and they did accommodate us, appreciated that. Was given a $35 comp ticket for drinks or food. We had each 1 drink was never given the drink amount, or knew if we used all the $35 for a glass of wine and a beer. We were just told it’s done! I was very much satisfied with location and friendly staff who really cared.

Hotel has a run down feel to it. Room seemed unused and dusty with mould. Bathroom needs updating- fittings falling off. Paid extra for a club room and was told I would get vouchers for different things. NOT worth extra money. Charged an additional $25 per day to have vouchers we didn’t use on top of the extra we had paid for room. This isn’t a four or five star hotel. Better ones near by that are cheaper.

Lovely location in New Orleans. Great view of canal street and the parades fromnour room. Biggest complaint is the room was not as clean as one would expect from a Marriott property. Our mini fridge did not appear to have been cleaned or sanitized in quite a while as when we opened it it was full of food...and a god awful odor.....an entire ham dinner with the fixins was in it and appeared to have been a long time . All we wanted to do was store some watet bottles to keep cold. The coffee station was not filled. We contacted the front desk about the fridge and took them 2 and half hours to responde to our complaint about the fridge. See photo below for how the mini fridge was. It shocked the houskeeper manager so.much she took a photo of it. The 2 other complaints were that the thermostat really did not work well. It was a very cold time we were there (Late Feb temps in the low 30s to low 40s) and even on the 18th floor did not keep room warm. Also the last day of our stay we had no hot water and our reponse from the management team was lukewarm at best. I will say on a positive note that the food at my conference was excellent and the service of this team was also very good. The bar and other restaurants associated with the hotel were also good. My complaint is that the room was dated. Housekeeping was not paying attention to detail with their daily cleaning and maintenance needed to pay more attention as well. Definitely not up to typical Marriott standards.

Check in and check out was smooth. The cleanliness of the facility was the main issue. Housekeeping is not automatic you have to request it. The towels for the bathroom where not properly cleaned and still damp. There was blood on the floor and on the keypad for the elevator. It was never cleaned. We were there for 3 nights. Lastly you have to go to the lobby if you need to reheat any leftovers. No microwaves in the room or in a common area on the floor you are on.

Service was 5 stars. The only thing I suggest is to make sure your room is not next to elevator or facing the river side. Ferry EARLY morning horns will awake you and you will not be able to go back to sleep. Elevator going up and down feels like a train is passing by constantly.

The manager at that location was rude and nasty. My friend got stuck in the elevator for 20 minutes and the way he spoke to her afterwards and tried to dismiss her was unforgivable. For that alone, I will never stay in that hotel again. It’s a shame because it’s a good hotel with a Majority of wonderful people working in it. That manager will cause me to never step foot in there again.

Valet was very rude. Said he couldn’t park my truck. Called in advance to double check vehicle size. Front desk ok it. Parked 4 blocks away and paid $142 dollars for 2 nights. Game back from dinner was shocked to see 10 2500 size trucks every where in parking garage. Nobody could tell me why I was turned away. Every day they took me trucks the size of mine. Attendant said they only park 1/2 ton trucks. Which was not true

Located just steps from the Quarter but far enough away that you don't deal with the crazy late night of the quarter; but located on Canal where it can just as crazy as the quarter. Busy weekend in NOLA (Bayou Classic) for our visit, the lobby was crowded and the music was WAY TOO loud in the open lobby bar on Friday. It was hard to hear anything the front desk told you when checking in. Other than that I would still recommend this location

I love the fact that you can have a New Orleans experience by just visiting the hotel. You can have wonderful cocktails, and the dining options are great, especially with the inclusion of their charbroiled, famous oysters and in the morning time pantry along with their Starbucks station is amazing. They also have a lobby that you can wait in, so you can check in and also storage for your luggage if your check in time is later than your arrival. The last thing that made this stay amazing were the discounts for the tours as well as the bar in the lobby. Can’t forget the Saturday DJ pool party loved it.

Good hotel but pricy. No breakfast included. Never a fan of carpet in the rooms and no extra blankets. The check-in clerk was not nice. Seemed to be racist.
