Elmwood Resort Hotel

Spacious accomodation for our family of 5. We booked one of the bigger units for a quick 2 night stay. Everything was great - unit was clean and had everything we needed to make ourselves breakfast. Laundry on site was helpful also. The tvs in the units are a bit dated and don’t allow for log in to streaming services which disappointed the teenagers but they survived … overall a great stay

We had a great stay here and staff was good, enjoyed the movie and the fire pit, having full kitchen was a nice savings and having grills to use is a nice option , the pools clean and everyone enjoys

Great, friendly clean and really nice indoor pool

The room was nice. Staff were amazing. The hot tub in the room was broken. Needs fixing. Hot water didn’t always work. The pool room had an awful smell. But the water was worrisome. Our suits and bodies reeked of diesel fuel. When I brought up my concern upon checkout they said they had just painted and it was safe. But I had to wash our suits multiple times to try and get the smell out, and they still have it. Same with our bodies. Multiple showers and baths for kids and could still smell it on them. I didn’t want to disappoint our children. As it was the main reason we booked there, the indoor pool, and hot tub in room. But I am/was very worried about what we were swimming in.

Property was clean and large, pool area was impeccable! Check in was friendly and efficient! Kitchen was well stocked.

Movie night with popcorn is a big hit with the kids . Indoor pool is great to have options on a cold or cloudy day . Great set up with lots of extras

The property was very well maintained and the rooms were well appointed. Please consider adding more light to the indoor pool because it was pretty dim in there once the sun went down. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

Excellent, modest resort. We stayed in a one-bedroom suite that had all the amenities we needed. Everything in the suite and the property was clean and well-maintained. there is a nice lawn area with gas fire-pits where they often have movies or live music, but some nights it is just the fire-pits to relax around. I say modest because the property and are not overly large and gated off from the surroundings. Very New England, not sunbelt.

Decking area was covered in pollen and needed a wash down. Heated pool was cool.

Friendly staff, clean room. Pool closes early (6:45 pm) which lead to some crowding on weekend days

Very nice place. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Pools we’re nice. Good location, short drive to beaches and restaurants.

This was a great, affordable option for us when the power went out for days. My only complaint was the crumbs all over the kitchen counter when we arrived. Otherwise, it was clean, comfortable, and spacious.

Booked a 3 night stay, room was very clean but musty smelling. Smell cleared fairly well after the air conditioning was turned on. We did not see tne entire property, only stayed 1 night due to tropical storm Lee. Management would not refund our money as we paid thru Expedia. Made it very clear they did not appreciate third party reservations. They did give a gift card for a return stay, unfortunately that was lost in our haste to get to.our flight home. They do not keep records of gift cards so we have lost almost $500. So take care to only book thru this hotel if you wish the best care.

For a budget condo, the accommodations were fine. Some of the dishes/utensils needed to be washed by hand. It’s not the most updated interior design, but - for the price - it was perfectly fine. When we arrived, our check-in was delayed by half an hour because maintenance was installing a new ceiling fan. After traveling for a few hours, this was slightly annoying. However, the reason I am rating it a 2 is: • After spending a day at the beach, we arrived back at the unit and someone had clearly entered the unit and opened the electric box and left a screwdriver on a living room chair. •When I spoke to the manager, he argued with me for 10 minutes about this issue. He said the maintenance worker told us he would be back the next day. He did not! The manager did not offer any courtesy or apology. He told me this was the “hotel industry” - even though I have stayed all over the world and have never had this issue occur before. Furthermore, the manager expressed that it was our fault for the maintenance worker coming when we were not present because there was no “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door. Subsequently, we looked everywhere and found no such sign. I would not stay here again. I don’t feel I could trust this management and maintenance. All of our belongings were strewn, and this hotel management allows people to just come into your unit without warning. I don’t recommend this hotel, as it was not a safe or trustworthy experience.

Was very clean and quiet didn’t spend a lot of time there also was on the go

We enjoyed our stay. Rooms were clean and appeared newly done. Linen was clean. Bathroom was clean.

The Elmwood hotel surpassed our expectations. It was roomy, comfortable, and spotless. We will definitely stay here again

The room was lovely, the main tv was unreliable.

I don’t really understand the high ratings. This is a no frills place that hasn’t been updated in decades. It was pretty clean but not spotless. The carpet needs replacing. The worst part was the bed was so uncomfortable we left our stay a night early to find a new place. Ended up wasting a ton of money. If you sleep on anything and need a small kitchen/living room - this is fine.

No hot water in shower

Rented a 2 bedroom townhouse. I loved that it had 2 queen sized beds, most hotels in the area tend to only offer double beds. Also had a queen pull out couch, which was in excellent shape. To save money, we used the full kitchen. It had all the dishes we needed. We liked that there was an indoor pool option for rainy or cool days. Great location, clean,and comfy!

The two pools were nice. Location is great, 5 min drive to the local restaurants and beach. However, the walls are thin, at least the ceiling is. I constantly heard the family above me walking and there was a young kid running that woke me up early since it was so loud. The other thing that woke me up was the sun at 5am…there were blinds but no curtains that kept it dark in the room. Finally, the shower was not great. There was not a lot of pressure and the water always started warm but got cold quickly.

Needed a night away with my husband. I booked a room here and it’s like a little mini condo. Had a sweet bedroom, bathroom and kitchen living room combo with recliners in the living room. Prices are extremely reasonable for a tourist area. The room was extremely clean and did not resemble hotels That I stay in. Highly recommended!!

Very spacious. Full kitchen. Living area with large tv pullout couch and recliner. Large bedroom with king size bed plenty of closet and drawer space. We only stayed a weekend but it would be great for longer trips. The outdoor pool was nice. We didn’t use the indoor pool but it was good to have one on site.

Went with a family of 5. Perfect size love that it has everything you need. The two pools were so convenient with kids. The place was very clean. Location was perfect being on post road. Told my husband this will be our new spot when we head up to wells. Highly recommend. Communication with housekeeping and front desk runs so smooth they have a whole system that works perfect. It was like a home away from home

Other guest, a long time guest, cooking smelled so bad. The smell flooded our room at night. Called the front desk they offered to send a room deodorizer but none showed up. Garlic one night, cabbage the next.

Single night for a conference. Staff was super friendly, allowed an early check in. Room was spacious and very clean.

My family loved staying here! Having 2 bedrooms with a family of 5 was great. We loved that the pools closed a little later than most hotels, we had enough time to enjoy our day, get dinner, then go for a night swim. We borrowed dvds from the hotel to watch but the remote for the dvd player was missing but Desmond, the employee was great! He came to our condo immediately to try to help. We were able to figure out how to screen mirror our phone to be able to play a movie. Thank you!

Easy check in - was there for a marathon and it was a very comfortable stay for my pre race stay!

Great location for families! Townhouse was fully stocked with kitchen appliances and everything was very clean. Near an amazing Domut place and 30 mkns from Portland. Congdons donuts were the best!

The location is centrally located, it’s between Wells beach and Wells harbor. There are excellent restaurants nearby that offer great seafood dishes, as well as international options. I95 is easily accessible, Portland is an easy drive, as well as Cape Elizabeth.

My sister, day and niece stay two nights in room 111. It was a great place to stay. The place a very nice and definitely will stay here again. Great location as well. We did shopping, sightseeing up and down the coast.

Nice, clean property well kept up. close to lots of nearby attractions. Enjoyed sitting by the fire pit in the evening.
