Horseshoe Tunica Hotel & Casino - A Caesars Rewards Destination

Staff were not grumpy to us, but seemed like they were not happy being there. Room was somewhat clean (a lot of dust and debris behind stuff like fridge). No soap in bathroom, and asked multiple times for some and never received. Pool was closed all the 3 days we were there (even after being told it was open on phone before we arrived),

I didn't like my stay at this hotel because I booked this hotel for the pool and it wasn't in service. Besides, they charged for everything there. There was no coffee maker or microwave. Well, there was one, but they charged for it. The only good thing was that the hotel was clean and very elegant, and you could get to the casinos quickly.

The parking garage smelled of urine. Desk clerk at check in was friendly and efficient. Security and other staff were friendly and greeted me with smiles. Carpet in hallways were dirty. Housekeeping brought me a broken coffee pot and I had to request another. Disappointing free WiFi only includes two devices. There’s a ridiculous charge for additional devices. Hotel renovations are a pleasant change. Hope rates don’t increase as a result.

Staff were nice but they all looked very unhappy, low moral, played few hours, left to go to other casinos to play for a while, came back, played four more hours, but what really shocked me was the charge for an hour extra on checkout, after gambling in your establishment and dinner at Gus's (our waitress Yolanda and staff, were AWESOME there), Room shower was horrible, small old tv, outdated furnishings. Our pool view was an empty old pool area, which looks like it hasn't been used in years. We chose not to pay late checkout request, left asap.. Sad. Use to be one of my favorite places to gamble when we travel to Tunica.

The carpets on the property were absolutely disgusting. Needing a deep cleaning. Touch up paint needed throughout the facility in lots of places. What was most disturbing was having to go up the elevators and walk through the smoking section of the hotel to get to the non-smoking section.

The outdoor pool was completely closed and did not have any water in it. My dining and casino experience was very nice.

We had no hot water in our bathroom The pool didn’t open until 10 and checkout was 11 Had to wait on housekeeping to bring us a coffemaker since we didn’t have one in the room.

They charge a resort fee but far from a resort no pool which advertised with a pool view but pool shut down !!

Enjoyed our stay. Very nice place. Just wished the pool was open.

Pre-COVID, Horseshoe Tunica was THE place to stay and play--it had the best casino, nicest rooms, and by far the nicest pool area to relax in between trips to the Blackjack tables. Now, it turns out, the pool area is closed down, housekeeping is no longer offered for multi-day stays, the dining options are limited, and the complex as a whole (which was once a nice resort) is run-down. The Casino was was still good with great entertainment, great bartenders, great table games, but everything else about going to the Horseshoe is no longer exciting. I hope, perhaps, the Horseshoe is just taking longer to excite COVID than the rest of the world, and that soon they will be THE go-to location in Tunica, MS again. Good luck.

Besides being very outdated and old. The lamp shades were broken. The floors were sticky in the bathrooms….

There was blood all over the sheets on one side of the bed. I noticed the blood on my second morning. I slept on one side of the bed so I pulled down the sheets on the side I was sleeping on. My niece stayed the night in my room and slept on that side of the bed. She didn’t pull the sheets because there was an extra comforter on the bed that she used. I noticed the blood when she woke up to look for her sock. When we pulled the blanket back and moved the pillows to look for her sock I saw the blood on the pillows, sheets and comforter. I would’ve never known the blood was there if my niece hadn’t stayed with me. I mentioned my niece used an extra comforter when she stayed with me. It wasn’t the comforter that I was sleeping under. This comforter along with two pillows and sheets were left in my room after I checked in, dropped off my luggage, and left the room. I came back that night to find these items on the bed. I didn’t request additional bedding but somehow they were placed in the room. The front desk had no knowledge of who or why someone entered the room to deliver additional bedding. They also couldn’t tell me why the bed was made without removing the bloody sheets and pillows. I requested another room but they were sold out. The surrounding hotels were sold out so I stayed in that room. The sheets were changed. This was disgusting! Front desk staff Chassity tried to assist but management said I booked thru a 3rd party so I have to reach out to them.

My first room: There was mold in the refrigerator and dust on the lamps. Bed had spots on the bed skirt. Second room was better but also needed a deep clean. Casino and staff were nice.

200$ a night and had to sit in the hallway or go downstairs to get internet. Dropped calls and no FaceTime with family. Hair in the tub, eyelashes and public hair. But no maid service , had to go buy cleaner and clean it myself. 3 people in the room but towels delivered were only 2.No water pressure. Clogged toilet for no reason. Key cards quit working daily. No compensation nothing!! This was 4 days of roughing it at a 200$ a night hotel! I refused to gamble here, we drive to gamble and eat elsewhere.. wasn’t going to spend another penny here. They told me to call their Internet provider to complain, tell me what that would do for us!!!

Lobby was nice and staff were helpful. Rooms were disgusting. Sheets dirty and stained. Toilet lid broken. Floors smell like they haven’t been cleaned in forever. The food wasnt bad at the 8oz burger but at Guys restaurant we found to bones in the pork. As for the gambling can’t complain it is what it is.

The bathroom was not clean. The linens looked like there was blood on them.

Upon entering the room, I immediately noticed multiple cleanliness concerns. The curtains had visible stains, the couches were covered in dust, and there were crumbs in the chairs, suggesting a lack of thorough cleaning between guests. Additionally, I noticed stains on the lamps. While I understand that I booked a smoking room, the odor in this particular room was overwhelming and far worse than any other smoking room I have stayed in at similar hotels. This made my wonder whether the room had been adequately refreshed before my arrival. I expect a certain level of cleanliness and upkeep when staying at a hotel, and unfortunately, this experience did not meet even of the most basic expectations. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and address these issues so future guests do not encounter the same frustrations. *** I have attached pictures for reference, but I want to emphasize that these images only capture a portion of the issues I encountered. The overall condition of the room was much worse in person.

The hotel property was dirty, dated, and unkept. There was a thickness of dust on the lampshades, tops of pictures, and surfaces. There was hair (that didn’t belong to me) on the shower wall. The corners & crevices of the elevators were nasty with built up dirt, the tiles were cracked, and some of the covers & switches were broken. However, the hotel and casino staff were friendly & helpful.

Check in was fine. It is the dead cockroach in my bathroom that gives me the hebby-gebbies. Only here over nite but would not recommend staying at the hotel.

Second time in a row that there was not enough water pressure to take a shower. Bathroom with mold in the shower. Just not clean.

I like that Horseshoe and Gold Strike are side by side so you can gamble and see entertainment at both. Room was big and nice and bed was comfortable, BUT Horseshoe easily has the absolute WORST pillows of any hotel I’ve ever stayed in… Small and thin, like a bad couch pillow, bring your own.

Shower was not very good and had very low pressure. carpets were wet and sticky. room was not cleaned properly. and room needs renovation. wallpaper was peeling.

The non-smoking room smelled like cigarettes and the walk to the room was so far away, I don’t know how I would survived if they didn’t have restroom places on the way to room but on the positive side I got a lot of steps in.

The room was not cleaned very well. Surfaces had crumbs, drink circles, and grime. It looked like the floor behind the bathroom door was never cleaned. The bed cover had black grease spots near the bottom. The hallways were very noisy all hours of the night. Its a Casino but the noise was very loud in the room.

Bed wad comfortable was the best thing about the room. Bathroom was dirty,carpet was wet and chairs smelled like mildew.

The room was big, clean, and spacious.

When this room was booked, it was booked for a nonsmoking room but the WHOLE floor our room was on smelled like smoke, as did our room. I understand that there is smoking in the casino but smoking should not be allowed in the rooms. It smelled AWFUL!!!

TV didn’t work for last half of visit, called and they sent me to maintenance dept and got voicemail. Left message and never heard from them. No exhaust fan in bathroom, so mold seen on ceiling above shower and on walls around mirror. Room itself was nice and clean but dark. Only lights were one light in entry way and lamps between bed which were very dim.

I like the casino, especially Legends stage bar with the bands, but rooms need upgrading. Very dark, little lighting and dim lights and a/c didn’t cool room.

Ashley at the front desk was amazing! We had left another hotel after finding it was very unclean to come to this amazing hotel and we couldn't have been happier with the room, the service and the way Ashley treated me and my friend at check in.

Staff was incredible. Everyone was so helpful and friendly and always meeting us with a smile. We have stayed at several resorts around Tunica, but Horseshoe was by far the best with staff. We plan to go back as often as we can.

The hotel staff couldn’t find my reservation when i got there so i never received the service i paid for

My room was not done at 4pm. We have to wait till 5.20pm. We reserve a king size and got a queen. Was a smoking room with no ashtray. Front desk person was not really friendly. After all was not bad . We really enjoy the casino and the service in the casino.

Check-in staff was incredibly RUDE!! Check-in is supposed to 4pm, didn't get checked in until almost 5:30. No apologies, only excues!! Never again!!

Room was dirty then when I went to the front desk to let the lady know she didn’t seem concerned or worried and just brushed me off..

Stopped on way home, security officer in the casino was very helpful, check in staff busy visiting with each other, but was very quick in getting our key. Parking lot well lite

This was not a good place to stay. No valet on Friday night! The room was so far to walk and was positioned over a loud club. The room smells like smoke. Loud music played all night and got no sleep! In the morning the Starbucks was a disater. The ladies were having personal inappropriate conversation and weren't very kind to the customers. Credit card machine was broken. Outside wasnt very clean. Panels down in ceiling . Place is terribly run down and outdated. Not worth the money!!!!

Nice place to stay. Located was great.

The Horseshoe property is inviting, but the derelict buildings in the area are an eyesore. It’s a shame something hasn’t been done with the abandoned hotels.

I like that it's out on its own

Room was clean, nice bathroom. No microwave in room without and additional charge but this is a casino. Quite a bit of walking from parking garage to rooms.

Enjoyed experience. Area not what it used to be. We have spent many times in Tunica area. Kind of feel like it was a great and honorable experiment that didn’t succeed. We enjoy our nights there but notice the decline. We will continue our stops on our way to NOLA unless it continues to dep. good luck

Not much of a gambler and because the place was in a remote area, there was not much else to do.

When I went to check in at the hotel even though it was booked online the deposit at the hotel was like $160. The walk to the room was a long walk. The room and the hallway leading to the room was noisy kind of sounded like boiling water really loud.

The hotel & casino is in very poor condition. A lot of the older slot machines are in poor condition. The Guy Fieri restaurant was closed most of the time I was there. The entire experience was poor. I will not be returning to this hotel & casino.

Outdated, dirty, didn’t feel safe and house keeping was extremely rude and irritated that her call was interrupted. Every time we entered the parking garage, it smelled like urine. Food was subpar and expensive. Jack Binion’s prime rib was horrible! For the price, it should have been amazing. The fillets were good. Not impressed and will not be back.

This hotel is beautiful. Our room is huge and the bed is super comfortable. I like pillows, but they only had 4, so bring your own if you want more. We only stayed one night while traveling, but I would definitely stay here again if I am ever here again. The Chinese food restaurant is delicious, but many of the other restaurants seem to only be open on the weekends.

Horseshoe is not what it used to be. Dining options ok, but Starbucks and gift shop not open. It is obvious there have been cutbacks to offerings. Had room overlooking pool but pool was closed and had no water.

There are a couple dining options with poor food quality. The mattress was very old and worn.

Property was fine. Service and food really disappointing.

Hotel was dirty. Alot of staff was unfriendly. The only real good thing was the food on the buffet was very good. Little pricey at $38.

The room was fine except the air conditioning was not great. The only real negative was the service at the 8oz hamburger restaurant. The guy virtually ignored us for lie 5 minutes and then finally came over and told us it would be better to go somewhere else. The next morning at star bucks the girl waiting on us was very rude and did not want to help us.

room- wall paper peeling, chairs stained or not cleaned. restaurant - we were told guy fieri's restaurant would be open for breakfast and we walked all the way there only to find out the only breakfast option was starbucks. even 8 oz burger didn't have a breakfast menu. disappointed. bell hop - very professional and courteous and prompt. we told him we didn't need help but afterwards realized we could have used his help and that he earns him money through tips. I regret turning him away.

Don’t let the surrounding area fool you, the Horseshoe itself is a great hotel and property. Stayed here to weather out a storm during a business road trip hauling equipment and got a last-minute King room at a great price. Will stay here again. Starbucks onsite, and a Guy Fieri restaurant. I don’t have a clear answer as to whether the buffet is still open or not.
