The hotel was clean, staff were always available in the lobby for questions. The room was exactly was I expected when I booked. The roof area was nice for hanging out and they have a small outdoor area on the main level with picnic tables. I would happily stay here again, great value compaired to other local hotels.

I've stayed in pod hotels before but this one has the worst, tiniest bathrooms. They were a joke. 4 bedrooms for the whole floor, without even a shelf inside. There was always water everywhere. No microwave on premises. AC in the room didn't work.

My favorite place to stay when I visit NYC!! Staff is very nice and helpful. The rooftop view is AMAZING. Checking in and checking out is a breeze. So many places close by to go eat or visit. Make sure you visit the bodega 5 min from Pod. They are open 24 hrs and have so much to offer! The make fresh juices. Delicious

Great place to stay, definitely fulfilled my expectations and I will stay here again for my next NYC visit. The location is amazing, 2-3 minutes walk from the subway station. I got to NYC by train and it was very convenient for not having to drag my suitcase for a long distance. The staff was super friendly and made the check in and check out process super efficient (I also noticed some travelers arrived before check in time and they were happy to accommodate their needs, so that’s pretty great!) I booked a single room with private bathroom and it is exactly as the pictures. Can feel a bit small at first but it’s very practical and it truly has everything you need. The room’s size was definitely not an issue for me as it’s very true to what the pictures illustrate The hotel also has a coffee shop that opens at 7 am and they have some pretty good coffee if you want to grab something quick before stepping out The only minor thing I would note is the elevators can be kind of slow and usually one was out of service, but it was no big deal and I only had to wait more than 5 minutes once

Really nice area, clean room, close to good food and a metro station. I was able to store my luggage after checkout which was incredibly helpful. I’d definitely recommend bringing a robe as the bathrooms can get rather humid so dressing immediately is not ideal. I’d stay there again and recommend to a friend.

Spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed. Great shower and toiletries including tissues. Very efficient hairdryer. Excellent housekeeping. Lovely garden and roof terrace. Breakfast available at a reasonable price. Lots of eating places around the area. Staff extremely helpful and knowledgable. They recommended places to visit and routes to take. Everyone was so cheerful and pleasant. Sorted a problem when we first arrived and gave us another room. Perfect location for transport. Offered airport transfers.

For a Pod hotel the rooms were small but slightly more space than expected. The rooftop was nice but we were asked to leave around 12:30 at night, we didn’t know there was a cutoff since there were no signs indicating that. Restaurants are nearby and not to far from the subway.

The only thing they have going for them is the staff is really nice. Unfortunately they are losing business with their tiny cafe because only one person working it. Elevators are super old and the wait is always LONG. They try to maximize the super tiny rooms the layout is awful. My head on the single bed was directly next to the air conditioner. It you want to rough it go stay there although not worth the price. Location is good though.

The only thing I would like to complain is fact that Pod didn’t offer a water filter for guests.

The room was fine. Expectedly sparse. The bathrooms appeared clean, but the showers were disgusting. The drains were clogged and there were moths everywhere. I would not recommend staying here.

There were insects in the room, and the floor wasn’t clean + be careful when you book the room, the one I booked has no bathroom. It has to be shared. Not a good experience. The only good part is that it’s cheap in manhattan.

Excellent staff, room was cozy and bathrooms were cleaned throughout the day. Great location, would absolutely stay here again.

My stay was amazing! The staff at the front desk were friendly and communicative. I booked a single room with a private bathroom, and everything was as expected. Very clean and no weird smells.

Bathrooms are dirty and wet. Vents in them filthy. Often very busy. Towels were scraps, like ripped at two and not always good. Cleaning services are unpredictable and can take whole day to show up. The staff was generally very friendly.All in all, if you look for hostel you got one. But this is certainly not hotel

Expensive for what it was, even in NYC. There is absolutely no sound-proofing so paying the Friday/Saturday night rate felt insulting. NYC is the city that never sleeps so if you hear everything going on then you don't either.

The Queen pod was comfortable for the two of us. The bathroom was very small but adequate. Our room was on the second floor along the street, so it was quite noisy.

Better than I thought it would be. Front desk staff was responsive, friendly, helpful. Room was about what you can expect. Only complaint really was noise from people hooping and hollering in the hallways. Noise came right through the door.

Room was small, but not crowded, clean tidy, and efficient use of space. I had a double bed with its own bathroom. I did not see inside the shared bathrooms, but there were several on the floor. If you are sharing a room and want bathroom privacy, an in-room bathroom is not what you want, as you can see directly into the glass walled shower from the room. Bed: mattress on platform, good pillows (2), three drawers underneath. Closet: open nook with hanging bar, ample hangers, narrower than a luggage rack, shelf above for storage and extra pillows (2), wall safe. Desk and chair. End table with digital alarm clock. Sink: set in to wall, small and stainless steel like in an airplane, mirrors all around and enough counter space for small toiletries. There were shelves underneath with 2 hand towels, 4 bath towels and hair dryer. Toilet/shower room: frosted glass window to the outside; 3 hooks for towels; room small, but manageable; rain-type shower head; wall mounted shampoo, conditioner, body wash; frosted sliding door for toilet privacy from main room. Wall-mounted flat screen TV. Small window AC was loud, but did the trick and covered up some street noise. However, it was behind adjustable slatted shutters so if you wanted the cold air to come in the room, you had to open the slats (which let in light). It’s NYC, so there is street noise, especially on lower floors. I would assume back rooms were quieter. I did not hear my neighbors when I was inside the room.

The windows are paper thin and I could hear everything on the street. I had the worst sleep. There was a bell going off every 15-20 min all night. They should put a ductless ac unit in instead of a window unit

Will not stay again. I know it’s the city, but the rooms are ridiculously small.

I needed a place to sleep whilst my apt was being painted. Pod 51 was the perfect pick. I opted for the full pod which has a private bathroom. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows. The only thing was the air conditioner - it worked fine but was noisy. Other than that, it was a very pleasant stay.

The beds had a really bad design, right up against the wall with a ledge sticking out you are bound to hit if you move a lot in your sleep. Also at over 6 foot tall I did not fit in the bed. They were kind enough to change my room (twice) eventually to a bunk bed so I had slightly more space to work with. But this is like a self contained university dorm, or frankly, a prison cell. Dependent on room or floor you might get a nice view of New York, might face a wall. The rooftop terrace closed too early to be of any use, the lifts are slow and busy and I had a keycard issue which had me locked out when going to use the bathroom requiring me to go all the way down to the lobby to resolve. Nicely located and cheap. Get the private double room if you’re not on a tight budget.

Pod 51 was what we expected it to be when we booked it. The rooms were small but that is what we payed for. The rooms and the shower were clean. It was quiet and the beds were quite comfortable. It was a bit pricey for the room but overall a good stay.

The staff was so nice & accommodating. Everything was very clean. The room was small & the bathroom was smaller. However, the value was worth the deal in my opinion. Don’t skip on the roof top patio!

Front desk staff for afternoon check-in remains rude. For morning check-out, staff is fantastic and friendly. Security, maintenance, and housekeeping are helpful and friendly. Property is nice, quiet, safe, and conveniently located. Beds and rooms are comfortable. Shared bathrooms are clean, secure, and well-maintained.

My experience at Pod 51 was disappointing. The front desk staff was unwelcoming and made no accommodations for early check-in, which was frustrating as an out-of-towner. Despite multiple requests, towels were never delivered to our room, and they didn’t provide small face towels at all. The only positive interaction was with the man who kindly held our bags until check-in. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff gave off a negative and, frankly, unwelcoming vibe. I can’t help but feel there was some racial bias in how we were treated. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Evening desk staff remains rude and inattentive, often watching TV or playing with smartphones and seeming annoyed when guests need to check in. Morning staff is wonderful. Room and hallway had strange chemical smell, but were clean.

This was a great property in the heart of midtown New York. You were within three blocks of Rockefeller and in great walkable distance to everything. As well as it's right on the Lexington and 53rd subway stop so really easy to get to from the airport

The compact rooms are so cute and very functional and efficient for any guest. As well as its convenient location in Midtown.

A wonderful hotel to stay in. Everything is in walking distance including food, transportation, and major tourist attractions which include 5TH Ave, Time Square, Central Park, St. Patrick Cathedral, Radio City Music Hall and Rockefella Center. The air conditioning kept me cool. The bed was comfortable and the restrooms and showers were cleaned and I didn’t have any trouble utilizing them when needed. The elevators worked and the hotel staff were amazing. Plus the cost is very affordable and reasonable and, yes, I definitely would stay there again the next time I’m in town.

Absolutely fantastic location - mid town manhattan 10/10 Walkable to a lot of landmarks e.g times sq, 5th ave, st patricks cathederal, rockefeller centre etc - 10/10 Service and staff including the night security was excellent, they were helpful and efficient. - 10/10 Room was affordable and reasonable given the time of year! Room itself was small (to be expected) but there's under the bed storage and enough for a case or 2. Room itself was clean, tidy, shared bathrooms were good too - only downside is the bed is okay, decent sleep but could be comfier and the quilt is very thin. (With room heating tjough, this wasn't too bad and you can ask for an extra blanket). Rooftop view was pretty cool - 9/10 All in all a decent hotel, with good facilities and in a great location.

Love this hotel overall. I'm not a big fan finding a hotel in new york, but pod 51 made it easy for me to enjoy my night out while keeping my stuff safe.

Loved this Hotel! Wonderful location with a quiet waterfall/park across the street where you could enjoy your coffee! Cute diner around the corner for a great breakfast! Room was clean and cozy. Parking garage located across the street. Friendly staff!
