NO PARKING!! There is NO FREE PARKING OPTIONS. Even the garage down the street cost money and the whole street is coned off for valet parking so keep that in mind. I was not aware that when it states that parking is available that what they meant was that they only offer valet parking which IS NOT COMPLIMENTARY you have to pay for overnight parking which I think is ridiculous considering how much you spend on a room there. If I knew that was the only option, I would have booked a room at the other hotel right up the street which also cost less per night. However, other than the parking fiasco the room was clean, the front desk was friendly, and we enjoyed the restaurant in the hotel. But I do believe they should have it stated on their website, so customers are aware that they also have to pay for parking when booking with them.

Compared to other Providence hotels it is not as robust. It is priced higher than the Omni but lacks amenities, the bar is in the basement and the rooms were very small. For the price the Omni or Graduate and better choices.

Check-in was awful. Instead of the valet parking on-site, we had to park off-site and walk with our bags to the hotel. Essentially, the hotel was completely unprepared for Saturday afternoon check-in.

Very clean; staff and valet very attentive; gym was large, well equipped and clean; lots of high quality products provided in room such as cream, body wash, etc.; beds were very comfortable and clean with thick comforter (also had extra blanket in closet); surrounding area was safe and beautiful to walk around during day or evening with river views and bridges all over downtown.

Only issue was the parking. It could take up to 30 minutes to get car from valet. It was a busy weekend in Providence and they needed more help at valet. There was not a garage were we could self park

The Renaissance is a convenient location to all things happening in the city. It is a very well maintained property. There is no staff to help with luggage so locate a luggage rack if you are traveling heavy. The bar tender Sean makes an excellent martini.

This elegant transformation of a former Masonic temple was a real surprise since the photos on Expedia looked as if taken at a Holiday Inn. While the rooms are understated, they are just the right size, and everything seemed new and of good quality. (The bathroom hardware is especially beautiful.) The room was completely quiet, and, unexpectedly, the pillows were just right--one firm and the other soft and downy. The masonic theme, beginning with two regal thrones in the lobby, as smarly carried throughout the corridors and rooms.

The hotel overall is lovely; however, our room had two issues. 1) The shower had a considerable amount of mold in it and 2) though the view to the State House was nice, the window was so filthy we couldn’t even take a picture through the window of the gorgeous Capital building. Otherwise, all was very good.

The Hotel was spotless. Staff very friendly. We walked into the Omni and the Biltmore and we were glad we chose the Renaissance. 2 things I'm thinking of...there was not an exhaust fan in the bathroom so the shower curtain had a strong mildew smell that was noticeable as soon as you walked into the bathroom. We called down to the front desk and they had the curtain changed immediately and it was fine after that. We came around 9pm and had no idea where the hotel was situated until daylight. I wish I had requested a room with a view of the capital. Instead we were looking at a parking garage. All in all everything was great and the food was good as well. I would recommend this hotel and I would stay there again.

The staff are all wonderful, from the valets to the restaurant to the front desk. The room we had was large and clean, but for the bathroom. While I do love a shower with good pressure, this was akin to a fire house that bathed the entire room in water. This had obviously happened in the past: there was water damage to the doors, walls, and floor. The tiles wobbled under your feet as you walked. That bathroom needs to be addressed by a professional.

The staff was wonderful and very friendly. I only gave it 4 stars because it was clear that our bathroom hadn't been cleaned prior to us checking in. There was someone else's hair all over the shower wall and popcorn on the floor. Other than that, I would stay here again. It was quiet and the bed was extremely comfortable.

While checking in I mentioned traveling with a Toddler and if there was a way to get a room that was a bit more spacious. When we walked into room 901 and saw the view we were extremely happy with your hotel. I will definitely come back to this hotel. The furniture, bedding, marble flooring, and chandeliers were beautiful. But, all of that didn’t matter when I ordered room service and received paper to-go containers with plastic spoons. The food delivery did not match the hotel’s ambiance. Internet, where to begin besides thank god for my hotspot. You want us to pay extra for data? When you pay a set price for unlimited data from Comcast. You’re ripping people off. Especially, when our toddler was in the middle of watching his learning videos. Overall a solid B. You will forever stay a 4 star hotel with food served in paper containers and asking people to pay more when 1GB is used. Thanks.

Easy check-in. Clean, spacious room. Great place to stay if you're going to an event at the Veterans Auditorium, which is right next door, or anywhere else in Providence for that matter. And, you can have dinner or drinks at a very nice restaurant below before or after the show.

Overnight stay was okay - I’m not sure, but it seems that when booking with a third party (Expedia in this case) the hotel staff (or algorithm) places guests in a small room with the air conditioner equipment view. It has happened before. I feel companies like Expedia should address this issue.

Favorite hotel stay of our east coast trip. Beautiful building, especially lit up at night. Walkable to the Riverwalk, very safe area. Spotless and spacious room. Fantastic bathroom amenities. The most quiet HVAC in a hotel ever. Great breakfast in the onsite restaurant.

Our stay was Perfect! I am recovering from hip surgery and I fell in the bathroom in our room. I was unable to get up by myself. My sister ran down to the lobby to see if anyone could help and Tom from security was more than willing to lend a helping hand. If it wasn’t for him I would have needed to call rescue for sure. He was kind! I am so so grateful. I made sure to pass my gratitude to the front desk but it’s definitely worth mentioning again

Comfy room - the valet was wonderful and fast- everybody at the counter was great. They had Kevin Murphy shampoo and conditioner. I was blown away by that complementary waters and coffee tea.. the highlight of my stay was definitely the little Thai lady who served in the public restaurant for breakfast. She was so sweet and funny and the best server ever. Yukadee i think was her name… she was the highlight of that hotel

Front desk staff seemed completely overwhelmed. We arrived at 4:30 (check in is at 4:00) and were told that our room wasn’t ready/clean yet. When we did get to our room, there was only one bed rather than the two beds that we had reserved — for a family of four! We were told that there was no other room available and were forced to get a rollaway bed. Avoid this hotel!

Front desk staff was super friendly, and allowed me to not only check in early but also gave a free upgrade. The room was spacious and clean. It’s valet parking only, but since I don’t carry cash with me, the valet staff all have Venmo for convenience. Smart!

Prime location, right next to the State House, didn’t have a view of it but it must’ve been really nice. The lobby is inviting with great staff and an amazing scent. Room was very clean, the shower had great pressure, and bed was very very comfortable. There’s a mall on the next block and was in a very walkable area to the fountains.

This is the best spot to stay in Provicence. My only issue was the smell in the restaurant, they need to change the mats and spray it down with bleach because its terrible. Also the pancakes for breakfast were trash, I had to use a knife to cut them which tells you a lot about a place.
