The kitchenette suite was comfortable. (We didn’t use the appliances.) The bed was very soft. Effective blinds blocked the illumination from exterior lights. The front desk staff was very friendly. Parking near the entrance was a bit challenging during check-in hours. It took a bit of tinkering to set the climate controls the way we wanted them. Breakfast offerings were fine.

First of all I arrived slightly early 1:45. I was told I could not check in. They offered to call me when the room was ready. I left and I eventually came back around 5. I was able to check in but I never got a call. The TV had a channel listing card but no guide. No guide on the remote or on any given channel. I could choose a channel but had no idea what was on the channel. I called the desk but nobody was able to help. After checking out I received an email receipt. I was surprised to find out I had been charged $60 to park my car at their facility I was never told there was a daily parking fee!!!!! Maybe I should have ridden my bicycle there. I hate companies that try to nickel and dime you. I will never stay at another Marriott Residence Inn. No thanks.

I travel to Hartford periodically for work and have stayed in many area hotels. This was the worst by far! The hotel room was dirty, the floor felt filthy, the bed was lumpy and the mattress on the sofa bed was unusable. My daughter had to put the mattress on the floor in order to be able to use it at all. The windows were covered with plastic and the shower drain did not drain properly. Even though the webpage states parking is free I was charged 10 dollars per day for parking and even though the room was supposed to have a queen bed it was definitely a full.

Staff was friendly. Place was clean. Not happy that with prices of rooms that they charge you to park at the hotel! Room was booked for 4 people. Pull out couch had no sheets or pillows for children to sleep.

I have stayed at this property a few times. The only complaint I ever have is the breakfast is horrible. But it’s free, so I just have coffee. This time however, our room reeked of marijuana. I asked a housekeeper if she had some air freshener. She said she was just in the room and didn’t notice. Also one day walking through the hallway, the marijuana smell was overwhelming. This unfortunately may be out of the control of the Hotel staff. Maybe. Otherwise the staff is friendly and helpful. The newly renovated rooms are very nice. The hotel is surrounded by anything you could possibly want or need. I would definitely stay here again. I would just bring my own air freshener.

I didn’t get the room I booked, specifically booked at this hotel for a one bedroom suite. They stuck me and my 5 year old granddaughter in a studio unit right next to the exit. Doors slammed all night, no separation so the 5 year old was up all night. NO sleep, awful.

You need to get real queen-sized beds. These "Hotel Queens" as your front desk agent put it are just full-sized beds. If you had a room with a king size and a kitchen, I'd stay there all the time.

The staff was great-but overall experience was terrible. Upon arrival-despite multiple lines of direct communication confirming i had reserved TWO rooms-they only had one available. After back and forth I assume w a manager, and 45 minutes, they had a room become available. Then at 2:00am an alarm sounded from the mechanical closet. I called the front desk and they made arrangements to have someone check the alarm about 30 minutes later. Feeling uncomfortable as a solo female traveler having a male join me in the room-I waited in the lobby. About an hour later the “system was reset”. I felt uneasy the rest of the night (morning). Just a bad experience.

We called a few days ahead and let them know we’d be very late checking in. When we got there a little after midnight and exhausted, we found that our room’s a/c wasn’t working. The person at the front desk immediately changed our room to the last available room which turned out to be an upgraded one bedroom suite. That gesture went a long way with us! The breakfast Buffett was exceptional; very tasty choices that changed daily! If we had one issue, it would’ve been housekeeping. In 6 nights, our suite was only cleaned once.

I was told at checkin that there were gluten-free muffins and cereal if you ask. I asked at breakfast and was told there is no such option. Noone knew if the egg option or sausage were gluten free.
