The parking is great, especially for downtown, and the above-ground parking is free. The spaces are a little small, but there is available underground parking where the spaces are a bit bigger. The rooms are clean and the staff was quite courteous. Overall, it was a great stay. If I am in the area, I will be back.

The franchise should really investigate the parking at this property. I don't believe the free parking is up to code and should be marked for only compact vehicles. All others should be give free parking in the gated garage. Many people with larger vehicles double park leaving no space, and one of the front desk workers argued that we could still park there. If you go to this property, expect your midsize vehicles to be hit, as our rental was. Plan to pay $20-$25 per day to park, or go inside an beg the front desk for an entry pass, maybe you will get lucky. If travelling across country with a group of more than 4 luggage for several days, seriously consider budgeting for parking, or stay at another location.

The location was great for the Modo center and Omsi. there were plenty of good restaurants nearby. It was quiet, the beds were comfortable, pillows choices both soft and firm. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast had many choices. Only problem is the pool was very very cold, not heated. We were traveling with kids and this is a major concern. We spent the time in the hot tub. very disappointing.

Had a wonderful stay at this Holiday Inn. The staff were super friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and the bed was so comfortable!! The breakfast was fantastic. The pool and hot tub were very clean. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. It was very conveniently located as well.

The property was excellent. The rooms were big enough with 2 queen beds for 4 people. Enjoyed the stay! Value for money with all the facilities such as washer dryer, swimming pool, jacuzzi etc. Just a recommendation they should also keep some Veg options available for breakfast expect from breads.

The rooms, staff and service were great. I was thankful that we got to park below, due to the full parking lot above, without the 20.00 fee, which shouldn’t exist. The gym equipment, elliptical and treadmill where not working in regards to adjusting settings. I was very disappointed.

The rooms were dirty and needed updating, curtains had nasty brown stains on them. Bathroom sink had large crack in it. There was only one person on duty after 6pm. I wanted towels sent to my room to shower after swimming but since there was one person on duty I was handed the towels to take to the pool with me then up to my room when I was done. The elevator is really slow and the first room I was put in was on the forth floor and the furthest from the elevator. The rooms fell clostraphobic with all the bulky furniture. I have never stayed at a holiday inn express this horrible. I stay in the Dalles and in Ontario Oregon and they are modern nice and clean. The shower at the Portland holiday in was the worst. There were many even any soaps or complementy toiletries. Will never stay there again.

The guest service rep was nice. The hotel could be cleaned better, the hot tub had a layer of scum around the rim right above the water line that could be scraped off and cleaned, our room was dirty, floors needed a good shampooing, lamp, tv remote, curtains are ripped etc, the bathroom was okay, the sheets had a stain. Our room was surrounded by kids so that was super annoying they kept going in and out of their room about 200 times and every time the door shut, the wall would shake and it was loud asf. I just blasted the TV so I couldn’t hear them and they shut up around 1030. Breakfast was okay, cinnamon rolls were good, the omelets have a weird cheese in them and it wasn’t melted so that was kind of gross lol. The location was good and the parking lot is nicely lit up and safe. Elevator slow asfff we took the stairs most the time. Anyways, overall it wasn’t bad but definitely not the cleanest holiday inn express, which is kind of surprising.

We checked in Saturday for a single night stay. Our first room had a used cotton swab in the trash and was missing body soap in the bathroom- both of these things were not so bad and we just shrugged it off. However, a few hours after we checked in I saw that the toilet had started to continuously run water and was un-flushable. We call down to the front desk and are told that there’s no other staff on duty and maintenance is gone until Monday, but the receptionist was kind enough to get us an immediate room switch. All seems well and we have a restful night, but found ANTS crawling around the TV stand that morning.

We have stayed here before and liked the area, once you get down a few blocks. I don't recall the unsightly cigarette store on the property before. I found the room mostly clean, but the headboard was gross. I wiped it down with a facecloth and hand sanitizer. Also, behind the bed needs to be vacuumed.

I was checked in the wrong room , opened the door and discovered some else’s luggage , luckily there was no one in the room. The staff checked in some one else under my name. Eventually I was given a different room. Also did not receive any housekeeping during the 3 night stay.

Enjoyed this stay. The only thing I would change is the bed is super hard and not comfortable at all. The elevator is also extremely slow. Other than that, breakfast has good options, the areas are clean, parking is easy and the staff are very nice.

The front desk employee when we checked in was so courteous. Very nice people that work there. The breakfast was substantial. The biscuits and gravy delicious. Also little omelettes. So yummy. I was greeted every morning with a big smile from Gina who served us breakfast every morning. She works in the dining hall serving breakfast. She was so fun and friendly with all the guests and made everyone feel welcomed. We will definitely be coming back to stay with your Hotel. David Borrego

This is the 4 time we stayed at this hotel. The location is convenient to our family, walkable to shops and restaurants. The price is reasonable for our budget and hot breakfast is included. The staffs are friendly and helpful. The room is clean and spacious.

The hotel, itself, was nice. Staff were very friendly. The hotel was secured at all times and a room key was needed to open the main door. However, the area around the hotel was not so nice. There was a large homeless camp nearby and the gas station right next door to the hotel was run down, covered in graffiti, and not very inviting. The area smelled like urine. However, if you walked a couple blocks from the hotel, you ended up in a very nice neighborhood that was clean and felt safe with many restaurants and shops.

I liked the complimentary hot breakfast, fitness room, free cofffee (as well as hot water for tea) in the lobby 24/7, and friendly staff. I also liked that the hotel was close to the freeway, downtown Portland, and the Pearl District.

The hotel is in a quiet part of town, but close to both the bus and some great dining options. My son loved the breakfast each morning and everything was nice and clean. The hot tub and pool were also very nice. All in all a great experience

So I got another $25 holding fee on top of paying for the hotel in advance. Surprise more fees. the breakfast was gross other than the prepackaged Items. Defiantly not worth $156. Also, no nice bath tub, no robes, no slippers. The hot tub is so chlorinated your skin peels. You would think in this day and age they wouldn't be using harsh chemicals that burn your skin, body, and hair. This is A bed to sleep in and the staff was friendly.
