I booked this hotel so I could charge my EV car overnight but the charging station was broken. The front desk staff knew nothing about it but I ran into a garage person who said it had be broken for a few months. This really impacted my stay because I had to use the next motto find a charging station, and sit around waiting for my charge. Next hotel I will call ahead to verify the charger works!! Otherwise it’s a lovely hotel and nice dining room.

We loved the hotel, dining options and the bar! The staff was fantastic, however it would have been great to know when we checked in that the parking was not secured and that there was no elevator to get luggage down from the parking garage, carrying all of our luggage down was a workout. On our last day a car window was broken and security was brought in, but we were quite worried the other nights. However, it was clean, a super convenient location, and if we aren’t driving we will stay again.

This hotel doesnt deserve the high rating it has. Have stayed at many hotels in my lifetime and this has been the worst. Our car got vandalized the morning of memorial day, at the hotel parking garage. There were 3 other cars that were also vandalized and a couple was also attacked physically. We lost a lot of our personal belongings. The neighborhood was shady and security was severely lapsed. The rooms are old, worn out and very tiny.

DeLuxe is an old hotel with a lot of history, it’s been renovated and the atmosphere is great. There was no bellman and the lift was not staffed, getting our luggage to the room and getting the baby’s stroller in and out was a hassle. We had to carry it up a flight of stairs every time. I’d expect more from a hotel that’s supposedly four stars. We stayed in one of the suites and the air conditioning wasn’t sufficient to cool the living room. The bedroom was fine. It was 100 degrees out so perhaps this is not typical.

The staff at the hotel were amazing. The resort fee was okay as we did use the hotel bikes and gym facilities. There is a bit of misrepresentation with the hotel photos as there is NO mini putt or back garden outside. It doesn’t exist according to the staff.

This was our third time staying at this hotel. The facility is nice and the location very central. I loved having a Peloton bike at the fitness center. I find this hotel to be a good value and I would stay here ahain.

Super cool hotel. Everything was great except for the carpet in our room was filthy and wasn’t recently vacuumed as there was visible food droppings and paper on the floor. Other than that, the bathrooms and bedding were clean and comfortable and breakfast at Gracie’s was delicious! It is in an urban area, so the parking is in a garage next door, but seemed secure and was close.

It was OK but there was no wifi in the building, and no TV. So if you're like me on a work/pleasure trip, you'll have to use the data off your phone to run your laptop. Also the TV only had a few channels and the kid they sent up to "fix" it just flipped through the channels for 10 minutes before telling me "you could just cast off your phone" but since there's no wifi... that doesn't work. No offer to accommodate or get $ back. The rooms are nice but haven't been properly cleaned in months. Thick layer of dust on all baseboards and trim.

Staff was wonderful; plumbing is bathroom was absolutely awful as the shower only had water pressure if it was all the way hot (scalding) and the toilet was right up against the wall. The sheets were the worst as they were clean as far as not being soiled but smelled very old and musty. The ‘vintage’ furnishings seemed old and not great quality. This was not a luxury VIP historical hotel more like lipstick on a pig with albeit cool artwork. Wanted to like it, but it was not a comfortable stay.

I was not expecting the room i had received. It was smaller then what I had wanted and thought I choose. The parking was somewhat okay. The over all atmosphere of the hotel was nice, friendly staff and was always welcoming. Every night we were there there was always a party of some sort happening, very lively. The cleanliness was something that was off putting. The bathroom wasnt the cleanest and the windows were very dirty. I love this hotel and have stayed here many times. Not this time. The room was spacious and comfortable, but the cleanliness has gone completely downhill. The carpet was filthy and had food crumbs on it. Chairs were filthy. Drapes torn. Not at all the hotel it once was. Hoping they clean this place up or I will not be back.

When looking at where to stay overnight at Portland this hotel caught my eye because of its Hollywood glamour design. It feels elegant without being too expensive. Loved seeing all the pictures of stars and the intimate decor. Very clean rooms though a tad small but with all the necessary space. It also has a fabulous bar but we didn’t get to try it. We were there on a Tuesday so we also didn’t try the restaurant which only opens on weekends but brunch menu looked spectacular!

Hotel deLuxe combines wonderful architecture, decorating, and customer service. It's both low key and elegant, a great place to stay! The room was clean and pretty, the bed was comfortable, and the old fashioned soaking bathtub was amazing. The staff accommodated my request for fragrance-free bedding and that made for a healthy as well as a relaxing stay. Will definitely return!

Beautiful hotel, decorated much like you would find in the 1950s. The beds are very plush and comfortable. The tea and coffee in our room were well stocked. We had a very nice stay overall. The only negative part of our stay was that we could hear the street noise down below up on the 7th floor.

There were just a lot of issues that could have been addressed. My HVAC didn’t do anything except loudly blow air into my room at the same temp as the room, the toilet got stopped up and it took hours to fix (and I heard multiple people tell the front desk the same thing with the same response that they would “let maintenance know”.” The window look straight into other windows and the roof, the curtains were yellow, which cast a sickly light on the room, and the outlet in the bathroom didn’t work. It was also the smallest rooom I’ve ever stayed in.

My husband and I stayed here a couple years ago and chose to stay here again because we had a great experience. This time around the room was nice but it was noisy. I'm not sure if it was because we where next to the gym or above the kitchen, but we could hear random loud thud noises late at night and early in the morning. Overall, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the classic film theme is fun. With that said, I'm sure we'll be back, but we might spring for a bigger room.

Hotel DeLuxe is a lovely place. The staff is excellent and very attentive. I had a great experience there. It is in a bit of an odd area in that one must cross over the 405 freeway constantly to go anywhere, but other than that it is lovely and i enjoyed my stay there.

Staff was very professional and responsive. My car battery died while pared in the hotel garage. The staff went above and beyond to resolve the situation. It was refreshing to experience this level of care and customer service. Kudos to the entire staff!! I would definitely stay here again! Mattress was comfy, too.

This hotel is swanky and impressive. The hospitality was too notch from check in to checkout. The general manager was working the front door ready to help guest with anything they needed. Gave us a great lunch recommendation, help with parking and was always there to open the door for us. The bar was amazing. Try the ol’ fashion, it was one of the best I have ever had. I would definitely stay here again.

The location was convenient. The embiance was cool, very nostalgic. But the service was poor, our room was not cleaned for two days and when we requested it they only changed towels and garbage. Then tried to say we lied about requesting it to be cleaned. Won’t be staying there again.

Inside the hotel provided a nice Victorian feel. However, outside the hotel there is a lot of homelessness around the entire downtown area (not just limited to this hotel). As long as you are aware of this, it's a great place to stay. We still walked around outside the hotel as there are many places to eat nearby, within walking distance.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Deluxe. The staff was welcoming and helpful from beginning to end. Enjoyed the lobby with its 1940’s movie glamour vibe which continued to the room. Both the bar and breakfast at Gracie’s were enjoyable.

Convenient location. About as historic as Portland gets. Front desk staff takes great care of me. Friendly. Supportive. Dining service is spotty. Bartenders not friendly at Driftwood. The Deluxe is a very comfortable hotel with old Hollywood vibes and decor - Gracies offers a great breakfast and the Driftwood Room has a good dinner menu (one tiny complaint is the room is cast in near darkness - use the flashlight on your phone to read the menu!). Overall, highly recommended.
