I was highly surprised that there were semi’s and vehicles with trailers able to park in the regular parking with the families needed to park and not out in the regular parking or vehicles with trailers should be parking. The rooms were not the cleanest and when we came back, they were not cleaned as as well as as I hoped. The breakfast was mediocre. I hoped that this would be a great day. The only great thing about this was a kind staff, but overall, I would not suggest this place at all.

The room was nice but would have been better if there had been a fridge. The bathroom mirror was new and had a built in magnifying mirror and additional lighting settings, this was a nice touch. The check in staff member mumbled through the instructions. The nice open courtyard with the fountain was peaceful and inviting until you got close to the glass to see the scaling buildup along the edge of the feature. I actually use the exercise room and the elliptical was good but there was visible damage to one of the belts on the treadmill. There was a box fan that was the only thing attempting to cool the room down.

Parking was good. Breakfast was ok. Overall presentation when walking into the hotel was pleasant. Check in was suppose to be at 3 pm. When we arrived at 5:30 pm our room was not ready. The staff said it wasnt clean yet. We were not able to check in until 6 pm. Guests that arrived after us had an hour and a half wait on their room. The pool water was cold. There were no towels in the pool area. When we asked for some, a staff member said there were no more. We were only given two bath towels in our four person room. The shower took far too long to drain and appeared clogged. We stood in ankle deep water while showering. The shower head spread all over the place. The toilet ran all night.

I’ve stayed at many of these hotels and never had a problem. Unfortunately, this hotel room had bedbugs. The front desk person did not seem to be very concerned. Im definitely disappointed in this stay.

The hotel is very old and has had some updates but needs a lot more! We did not eat at the hotel because the hotel felt dirty and musty and old. The air did not work well and the rooms were warm. We moved to another room and still had the same issue. The doors had to be forced shut. Wallls and surfaces were dirty and grungy.

The employees were extremely nice and accommodating unfortunately the rooms are disgusting and filthy. First room i had was completely dusty and dirty and smelled like it was a flop house. I called to change rooms and again the staff was extremely nice. They changed my room right away. Unfortunately that room wasn’t much better. Shower looked like it had mold coming from the ceiling and it just dirty all together. If I didn’t just drive 6 hours to it i would have left. I wish they would match the rooms to the staff cause then it would have been a great place to stay.

Keurig had plastic floating in the water chamber and a coffee pod stuck in it. After getting the pod out and examining the condition of the water it was decided that coffee was no longer important. Stains on the pillow cases.

This was a last minute trip to Springfield for the weekend and it did not disappoint. The only thing I would mention is that there was no mini fridge or microwave in the room. The rooms were clean, the hotel was well maintained, and the staff was nice. I would recommend staying here and will stay again!

Okay. First of all, it was a comfortable bed. Of course, I was visiting family and had not slept in a bed for a week. The room itself looked nice. The first thing I noticed however was there was no blackout curtain on the outside window. I thought maybe the mesh curtain also would roll down to a blackout. No. So, I'm turning out the lights, and the room is still fairly well lit due to the outside ambient lighting that was coming in through the mesh curtain.

We were unable to check in prior to our event because the rooms were not ready. We had to change in the bathrooms. We called to let them know we would return after dinner to be sure they held our reservations. We had 3 rooms reserved. We tried to check in at 11:30 p.m., only one of the rooms was ready. At Midnight, the rooms still weren't ready for our party to check in. They offered a $10 discount on one room and $30 on the other. This was NOT acceptable as they still could not tell us when the rooms would be ready. By then, it was the next day. We asked for a cancellation on 2 rooms and was told no at first. Then they allowed the cancellation. 2 sets of family members had to take the 4 hour drive home in the middle of the night because their rooms (which were booked in advance) weren't ready after midnight. The measly discount that was offered was insulting considering they would be in the room for only 10-11 hours. The staff was not considerate, nor forthcoming with information.

We got to the hotel about 3. Check in is at 4. Drive around awhile and asked about 3:30 if the room was ready. Said no. I asked if my grandkids could swim until it was ready. Can't swim until you choin. At 4 it still wasn't ready. They sent 2 employees to clean it. Didn't check in until 4:45. We were going to the Springfield Cardinals baseball game. They had a giveaway but we didn't make it because we had to change when the room was ready. I asked if I could get a discount or something but since I went through a third party booking they would not do anything. I won't stay there again.

I was passing through town when I was in an accident and had to go to the Emergency Room for a broken arm. My daughter booked the room for me. When I arrived with my arm bandaged up, there was confusion as to what room I would be given. My daughter had asked for a ground-floor room. They had put me on the third floor. After going round and round with the attendant on duty, she stated that the ground floor would have to go downstairs. I then stated that I wanted a room on the floor I walked in on. She noted that the floor I walked in on was the second floor. Why she couldn't have stated that, to begin with, I don't know why. Once the room was assigned, I was told it would have two queen beds instead of one king, which was fine. I just needed a room to rest. When I got ready to go and get my items from the car, I requested assistance to bring them in. They said NO. I am over 75 years old with a broken arm, in pain, and they would not assist me. I asked for assistance getting food from their restaurant and again was told NO by staff, even though no one was around. While the bed was good the facility itself was old and dilapidated. The customer service was non-existent.

Desk clerk was rude. I called Expedia to cancel reservation. Was put on hold while he said he would talk to hotel personally. Came back and said he talked to desk person and manager but room could not be cancelled. I talked to the manager upon checking in and was told Expedia never called. Will NEVER use Expedia again nor stay at holiday inn again.

The staff member working, Nick, was so nice and accommodating. However, the photos of the hotel are very deceptive. Hotel has so many abandoned areas inside it that are dark and would be a great spot for someone up to no good to hide. The photos depict a beautiful modern hotel when in reality it is rundown and left me feeling quite uneasy. Parking was minimal and there were several groups of people outside begging or doing what appeared to be up to no good.

Made online reservation hours before arrival. Upon arrival was told no reservation was shown. Had to wait 20 minutes to get reservation worked out and checked in. Not a quick check in. Room wasn’t numbered so it took a minutes walking back and forth around the corner til we figured out where the room was. No room number placard on the wall. We decided to eat in at the restaurant. The bar tender accidently charged our drinks to another customers room bill. They could not get it fixed ...... the salmon was very dry and over cooked did not have the butter wine sauce and was told they dont have that even though it was on the menu. The room is great. clean comfortable quiet... and right off our route.

Not a bad stay other than the lamp shades had about a years worth of dust on them, and the restaurant inside service was terrible. Me, my wife, and my 18 month old son waited 45 minutes to be served and there was maybe 10 people in the whole place. We got up and left, as it was 9:15pm by this time. Definitely more of a sports bar than a restaurant. Won’t be back to eat that’s for sure.

Property was nice and we have stayed at this place before. When checking in, the person was not at all friendly. We had to ask as to where we could eat as nothing was in the room to show places to eat etc. When we ask about breakfast, he didn't want to give us a voucher. He said since we booked from Expedia we didn't get that for free. We disageed with him and he kept looking and finally gave us a voucher. No matter who you book from you should be treated like everyone else. I have gone through this before at another hotel because we booked through Expedia. So what's up with that Expedia??

Front desk clerk who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is in a good location, close to Wal Mart and Cooper Tennis Complex. The restaurant had a good buffet breakfast at a very reasonable price. I do wish that the final receipt had been emailed instead of on paper.
