Palm Inn Hotel near Tyler Mall Riverside

Pros; had HBO, fridge, microwave, table amd chairs, clean shower, good water pressure,spaceous room. Nice staff, i had an issue with my room and the lady helped me fix it. Cons; Floor boards out and set loosly into place, very dirty-roaches and ants but not an infestation-, tv kept resetting and configure took 5 minutes, fridge sticky, microwave stinky, food crumbs on chairs top of fridge and night stands. No ice machine have to ask for ice, lobby closed had to use window, spa empty, this site wont let me upload my picture but the roaches are around 3 inches big.

Hot water didnt work and it had poor pressure

There was no toilet seat initially, however, they had one installed by the time I returned. There's SO MANY people who do not have rooms that hang out on and around the property. Can't even hardly pull in most of the time because people are blocking the entrance yelling, fighting, etc. It's unfortunate for the employees because they were so nice. Maybe to nice, perhaps. There's a lot of potential there, so hopefully they figure it out.

Too many people just hanging around the property. Towels were limited and still looked dirty. Everything seemed as if there wasnt enough for all the rooms. No phone. No cable.

This hotel has been renovated, no sign of any roaches, and the people are very friendly!

It seems to be more of a long-term stay hotel, and they were renovating the rooms on either side of us, and so it was very noisy during the day. We flew into Riverside for business, and we were in the room preparing for a meeting most of check-in day and the next. The first evening we decided to try the pool and spa. The weather wasn't real warm so the pool was understandably cool and we ended up not going in during our stay. We did use the spa and it was a little dated, but functional. The next day there were lots of children in both pool and spa all day, so we didn't use them. The following day, the spa looked very unclean and didn't function correctly. The pool-side lounge chair seats were all broken and were hard to use without falling through the broken straps. The room was clean and the staff was friendly, but the room lacked an iron and ironing board, though they did bring us one. Every time we wanted ice we had to ask at the service window and the office person would meet us at the door and go fill our bucket and bring it back. Not the most convenient. The shower was good, and the AC worked great. Overall, it was serviceable, but very dated. We'll probably go elsewhere next time.

Ants in bathroom, running toilet, plastic lining over mattress probably to hold the bed bugs in. Little parking. Ghetto

The smell of the chlorine was disgusting. The towel had a bunch of accumulated hair and when I tried to use it, fell in the tab. The tissue box had compounded dirty tissues together. The bed sheets dirty. The smoke alarm’s detector cover and the battery was missing. Through the sink, all night was coming a weird noise. The bed had a plastic cover under the sheets and made noises each time I turn around. The bathtub was dirty. One dirty towel.

It was filthy. Only had one towel which was filthy. Cigarettes holes in the blanket. Graffiti on the table. Smoke alarm fell as soon as I closed the door. Room was supposed to be non smoking but reeked of cigarettes. No soap. Random table in the room. I didn’t even spend the night. I felt unsafe. Homeless and people on drugs roaming the parking lot. Seemed like people just lived there. Disgusting!

Roaches ran when we opened our room door. We reserved a non smoking room. The room reeked of cigarette smell. There were cigarette burn marks on the bedding and window curtains. We immediately checked out. We did not stay. We talked to the clerk and told him we wanted a refund. Hotels com had to call the motel to verify the issues. We got our refund.

This property was horrible. Our room’s beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable. We considered sleeping on the floor, but the floor was dirty. The bathroom hadn’t been clean properly, and there was poop on the wall. We found cigarette burns on the sheets and a hair tie under the first blanket. Do not stay here. People screaming in the parking lot in the middle of the night. Overall, A very terrible experience.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. My bed covering has some black goo on it, there are electrical wires hanging from the ceiling where the smoke detector should be, there are major gaps around the door and the locks don’t seem to work too good. Let’s not forget the roaches all over the place. And it’s supposed to be a smoke free room but there is an ashtray and it deals of must smoke.

The motel had drugs in it as well as roaches throughout the room and hotel. They switched my room and the problem happened again.. the room had a T-shirt in the ceiling and was infested with roaches. I had to sleep outside with no option of a room or place to stay but a credit. Unsafe and unprofessional. The bed was dirty and had holes through the blanket.

The Palm inn hotel was dirty and there were holes in the blankets as well as bed bugs. I will never stay here again. Disgusting.

It was dirty had a smell since i walked in.towels were brown from dirt in stead of white. Found roaches in the morning as i got up to get ready for work

There were dead roaches in the refrigerator and tagging through out the room.

I want to preface this by saying the entire staff was probably the friendliest and most helpful group I have ever met. They were so kind and welcoming to me and all of my friends, even when we were coming in from our festival late at night. Any issue we had they were more than happy to help with and were soooo nice about it! My only complaint is the very apparent bug issue throughout the whole hotel. Between my whole group we had 4 rooms in different parts of the hotels and there were bugs crawling from holes in the wall in all of them. They weren’t very pest-y or bothersome but just the idea of having them there and potentially stepping on them was very uncomfortable. If they got an exterminator in, and improved the room cleanliness just a bit I would totally return just for the staff.

No access to tv, room was old and smelly

I had to go to 4 different rooms to find 1 with 2 beds. The guy at the front desk was doing his best but isn’t properly trained. Got the room opened the door saw it had two beds closed the door n went to have dinner. There’s was people everywhere just hanging out n down the walk way smoking. Walking through the parking lot there was people again just hanging out bumping their car radio. My friend didn’t feel safe. There’s was a few homeless people squatting, talking to them selves. So went had dinner, got back to the room, n e we were like nope! It smelled like feet n BO. The mattresses had to be at least 20 years old like they were in bad shape. So we closed the door n left. The last thing we need is bed bugs! Jumped back on Expedia n booked a room at the Hotel SpringHill Suites by Marriott n has an awesome rest of our night.

Room smelled of smoke, cigarette burns on the blankets. Bed was extremely uncomfortable… The shower had really short curtains so all the water got on the floor. Bad area, very sketchy.

The staff were very friendly and polite but aside from that everything was pretty terrible. When I arrived I got told that my room had been upgraded from a one bed to a two which seemed cool till I got inside. For starters it was a no smoking room but reeked of cigarettes and didn’t smell the greatest, there was a hole in the wall, dust caked certain places and the bathroom was in shambles. It had no cover for the light and was covered in dust/gunk and there was no shower head. Best thing I can say about the hotel room is that the door lock works.

The stay was extremely brief but very unsatisfying. First there was one towel the room was extremely hot from the moment we got there took forever to cool down. The bed was by far the worst part of the stay. Felt like i was laying on a bunch of uneven springs. The toilet did not work at all it wasnt clogged it had to water getting to it. The room had a stinch and it was so loud it was hard to fall asleep. They also had construction going on at 1130 at night. When i was checking in i was told i was on a do not rent list, i had asked why he said it states something about having heavy traffic in and out of a room. I have only staid there one other time and it was the same exact as this trip. Checked in by 1130pm get showered and in bed out by check out. Dont understand the mix up qt all but was strongly urged not to have any visitors at all during my visit. Oddly every room there had multiple people in amd out yelling about illegal activities and other nonsense. Makes me wonder now why i am on a list i know i shouldn't be yet they allow all this illegal activity to go on.

I understand hotels get run down but if you don’t have any heater working in the room wasn’t right. Otherwise people were very friendly. Room was clean except the bath tub could be cleaned better. The pictures we see on google are old pictures.

I requested towels gave me a dirty and one small towel for the floor like a bath mate . The room had a mans dirty underwear on the floor behind the bed of the corner . In which I picked up and had to put in the trash can . Very rude at window . Looked to be middle eastern guy did not catch his name . Had no towels in room thats why I had yo go ask . I really want my money back and they refused . Highly dont recommend thos place at all

The check in people were fine honestly. But within the complex there are were people everywhere. People living on the staircases, people doing illegal activities with cars driving in and out, behind dumpsters. I'm not blaming the property for this, but there is zero effort to from anyone to clean up the situation - to the point that the office/lobby is closed at all times and only the night window is in use. It felt very unsafe from parking and getting glared at to the number of hurting/unhoused people constantly traveling around the complex.

Check in was fast and straight forward, let us check in an hour earlier but the room was dirty and had bugs. We never recieved the towels even after asking several times. Tagging on the walls in the bathroom, the room had bugs, the bath tub was clogged never drained, and I'm pretty sure the last tenant was a drug dealer. People kept knocking on our door all night and day long. The last day of our trip we were locked out and had to have management master relock the whole unit just to open our door.

So many drugged up people walking around at night. The house cleaner gave me attitude when i asked for a new towel

Went to check in and the hotel was not clean. Asked for another room and they didn’t have any more rooms and they haven’t issued me a refund. Didn’t even stay there. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

only stayed the one night; looking for a bed and shower. staff was wonderful with early check in for late return. located near CBU for event the next morning

Close to shopping

I can’t imagine it gets any worse than this place. Homeless people in the parking lot. Gangsters hanging out on the balconies. Television didn’t work. I was worried my vehicle was going to get broken into the entire time I was there. I was so uncomfortable I checked out at 8pm and didn’t stay overnight.

Highly unsafe with individuals smoking Fentanyl on the stairs. The room was dirty with only one towel. When I asked the front office for an additional towel they said house keeping was not available. The staff are evening afraid to walk outside and their door closed. High price for such a stay I would not recommend for families. Very loud noises from the homeless walking up and down the stairs. Homeless also leaving trash and paraphernalia on the stairs.

Location of hotel is great. Close to many stores and restaurants. Castle Park is just minutes away. The concern is the cleanliness. Small roaches were under the refrigerator. Thankfully they seemed to stay in that area. They need pest control. Management seems to do nothing about people using music and using the pool late at night. It was good for one night. Fight my needs of what I was doing for the weekend.

Arrived late and I was nervous just to get out of my car on the property with the number of homeless people hanging around in the parking lot. Once I saw the room I left immediately and booked a different hotel.

It’s a place for homeless I don’t feeling good That hotel is not a safe place for families, I didn't like it, I don't recommend it.

Great location lots to do could walk around or take a drive just enjoy yourself
