The best thing about this hotel is its location. It's basically walking distance to most attractions. The room is clean and no complaint. The sound insulation is not the best because the building is old. There is no elevator, only stairs. The restaurant downstairs is very good option for breakfast. There is not much of a front desk service, and there is no parking. So if you are OK with the above, then this is a great little hotel to stay at in Old Quebec City.

Property is part of a group of hotels. Check in is in another hotel. No flexible with check in time. Check in was quick, but facilities need renovation. Great location, safe and wakable. Wifi and TV work perfectly, no elevator.

Dirty staircase. Old. Things could be updated . Small bathroom. Had to go to another hotel to check in and check out. No one at reception when checking out. Waited 10 minutes to be seated for breakfast.

While the room itself was comfortable, there was a strong odour of stale cigarette smoke throughout and the carpeting was not clean. Not suitable for those with mobility issues as there is no elevator. Entrance to building has very steep stairs and a bit awkward to load bags in. Breakfast was included and served in restaurant next door to hotel and was enjoyable. Very convenient location being in Old Town of Quebec City with many sights and wonderful restaurants.

Nice hotel in historic Old Quebec. No onsite parking, but we knew that in advance. Spacious room with older furnishings in keeping with age of the building. Bathroom was updated. No elevator; three‐floor building. Overall good value in view of the touristy area.

Chambre très sale.... Moisissures au plafond dans la chambre de bain, le porte savon est extrêmement rouillé, la couette de lit était taché, il y avait de drôle de tache sur un mur et environ un cm de poussière sur les pôles à rideaux, la télé fonctionnait à moitié (pas de son sur la moitié des postes) et aucunes insonorisation. Nous avions réservé et payé pour 2 nuits mais finallement nous sommes parties après la première nuit! Je ne conseil pas du tout cette hotel.

This hotel was in a very convenient location. There was a garbage in the hallway that hadn’t been emptied in the 4 days we were there. The bed was comfortable and the room had charm due to the exposed stone walls. The bathroom tap did not turn off. It continually dripped. I had a shower and realized there was no hair dryer. Because there is no one on site it was suggested we couldn’t get one till late afternoon as they had no spare. I suggested they get one from an unoccupied room and replace that one which they did. We were aware that parking was not available on site and you were on your own. We drove around for 40 minutes trying to find the parking garage. Providing a small map with directions it would have been so easy. It was so close but not well marked. The person at reception upon arrival was not very helpful.

La chambre n'avait pas été bien nettoyée. Ils y avaient des ongles d'orteils coupés et une pince à cheveux parterre. Le fond de la douche était sale ou bien taché, nous n'avons pas osé prendre notre douche. L'hôtel est très bien situé. Le déjeuner inclus était bien avec une portion correct.

When I arrived the room seemed fine but I quickly realized that there was one towel for one person and there were 2 of us.. The sink was blocked, the toilet drains with difficulty, there was blood on the bed comforter, the small room fridge does not seal as it should so the temperature does not stay... Oh and the TV cable did not work so nothing for entertainment in the evening... What about parking? There simply is none. I find the price paid versus what I received as service very confusing and annoying. I do not recommend this place.

Half of all the light bulbs were burnt.After asking only one was replaced. Fridge was warm and unplugged. TV doesnt work. Hairs were found in the bathroom, a lot of dust. The hallways havent been vacuumed in a long time. Won't be back

Location was great, but the staff availability was poor. I tried to contact them multiple times during my stay and there was never anyone at front desk. Also there was no room cleaning during the 3 nights I stayed there, meaning the bins were full and I was running out of amenities. Lastly the walls were too thin, the room next to me had to TV volume so loud I could hear it in the hallway before getting into my room.

Cute room with a great view of the castle. The location was perfect and breakfast was amazing. We stayed at 3 hotels in Quebec City and this was our favorite.

The photos on the Expedia website looked attractive and the price was in our budget range. We liked the neighbourhood - it's charming and close to all the attractions in Old Quebec. There isn't a restaurant in the building but there are lots of good options nearby. The wifi worked well. There are no staff on site, so be prepared to hunt them down in an adjoining building In our room, the furniture was shabby. There were no bedside tables - just a log stump (not kidding) on one side of the Queen bed. The other side of the bed was so close to the wall that it was impossible to get in or out on that side. The shower was tiny and had nowhere to place toiletries. The bar fridge rattled and hummed. There weren't enough pillows. Walls were paper thin - we could hear folks talking at normal levels in nearby rooms. I hope this was the worst room in the hotel. It would be nice if some of the rooms came close to the charm shown in the online photos.

The best location. The only problem I had was the heat thermostat never came on and it wasn't working. Room temperature was a constant 63F. Chilly at night.

The price and location are excellent but our rooms were in the basement with very small shower and sink in the bedroom. It has a fridge and coffee maker. Very basic.

We arrived for check in at 9 pm and the door was locked with a sign to go to another building for check in. Went to that building with another sign to call for check in. Never saw anyone. Called and was given attitude for checking in so late. Was given code to enter building to find out key in an envelope. Room on 4th floor no elevator (which we knew prior). Floors dirty like no one has vacuumed in a while. Room very dusty. Sheets dirty. Couldn’t get housekeeping to change linens or towels for entire duration of stay. Never saw an employee once. There was never anyone at the desk. Check out was just leaving our key on the same desk where we picked them up. Felt more like an air BNB rather than boutique hotel. Only good thing about this hotel was location. Otherwise would not recommend.

the hotel is in a great location. only thing is that there is no reception at this hotel. it is down the street a few doors and there is no reception except from 11 till 4. Maybe... I was able to communicate with someone thru text and was lucky that a guest of the other hotel let me in as there is a code at the door so I could drop off my luggage on my last day so I could still go explore the city.

Check in was a nightmare. They said they had baggage storage but reception was closed. We waited and then a maid happened to come by and let us leave our bags. When we check in they said they would send up towels when they arrived. We never got them. Tv didn't work. No remote. The room was big. It was on 2nd floor so the stairs weren't too bad. They never answered emails or phone before we got there which was frustrating. Breakfast next door was amazing. Location of hotel was great. If you had a question during stay it was hit or miss catching someone at reception.

The hotel has a good position but the service is non-existent. The check in closed an hour early so we (and two other travellers) were left out on the street with all our luggage. The adjacent restaurant managed to open the hotel door and located our room keys but there was zero welcome or explanation about how things worked. The tariff included breakfast but it turned out it was only $10.50 each and anything over that price hade to paid for separately. On the last night we asked reception (2 doors down the street) for a late checkout. She said no but then after some pleading by my wife the reception allowed an extra hour. The reception was closed when we came to check out at 11.30am and due to that they took the payment from a card that I didn’t want to use. If you value service don’t stay here. If you want a good location then and nothing else matters then take your chance here.

Check in is at a different location just a few doors away and not clearly stated. So some guests were a bit confused and there is no reception desk at this hotel so if you need help with your bags, you’re on your own. But the location is great and our room was nice. So we were quite happy.

What a great experience! Such an eclectic interesting and clean boutique hotel! The location can’t be beat, walk out the door to everything there is to see in Old Quebec. Loved it and will stay again however I would not recommend it to anyone who can’t climb stairs. There are a lot! High staircase to get in and no help, the front desk is 2 doors down. Old Quebec is one of the nicest places in the world!!!

Hotel is in the heart of upper town in old Quebec - walkable to everywhere in old Quebec for instance- hundreds of great restaurants & pubs, shopping, sightseeing, museums etc. super quaint, tiny room in building with tons of character & history. Very comfortable with everything you need albeit a small room. Would stay again! Great front desk staff shared with companion hotel 2 doors down.

The room and bathroom were clean, large enough and quiet. Its an old building, one of the reasons one visits Quebec City! No elevator which is fine with us. Great location. Amazing restaurants nearby.

Although it was a separate location, the check-in was seamless as the receptionist was friendly and helpful and made us feel at ease. We had a cosy room on the second floor which was perfect for our short stay. Great location in the old town and numerous restaurants and cafés nearby. Would definitely stay here again!

The sound insulation is not the best because the building is old. There is no elevator, only stairs. The restaurant downstairs is very good option for breakfast. There is not much of a front desk service, and there is no parking. So if you are OK with the above, then this is a great little hotel to stay at in Old Quebec City.

I would include several feedback here, but the most important point is the lack of service and reliability. My experience has not been good. The main complaint is that booking was made for 6 days with breakfast included. Breakfast was not included on one of the days, and the restaurant assured us that the hotel will issue a refund. I spoke to the person at the front, and she assured me that I would receive a $25 refund for the breakfast for my family that day. So far, no refund has been received. I have contacted the hotel two times, and I have not received an answer from them. Very disappointing. I am trying to find a solution via Expedia, since the booking was made through them, and they are telling me to deal with the hotel directly. Very disappointing from Expedia as well.

This property is awful for the amount that they charge us.We stayed two nights, we had a breakfast included on Monday, the restaurant was never open...so we had to find another place. Communication with the staff...nil, no good. I chose this lace for the charm, well wrong again. Next time I should look at the reviews. We do not recommend this place.

Cute room with a great view of the castle. The location was perfect and breakfast was amazing. We stayed at 3 hotels in Quebec City and this was our favorite.

The hotel is old and has no elevator, which I think is not unusual in the old town. The carpet is worn, however our 2nd floor was clean and perfectly fine. The free breakfast is offered at the restaurant next door and limited to a few basic items, unless you pay an upcharge from the menu. Location is really good on the main street near the old gate so able to walk to everything. Note: lots of hills, wear good walking shoes!

Quite a nice classic style hotel. Makes you feel in the environment of the 19th century but with good wifi. Take note that there are a bit of stairs to climb and if you do not mind this, like me, it is a great choice. Good breakfast with a waiter that made his best to speak Spanish with me.

My room’s system would not change the temperature properly either even after a housekeeper tried to assist. As I was only staying two nights, I just lived with it. Overall, a medium quality hotel.
