Nice hotel near Genova central station, good options for restaurants and cafes. Breakfast is very good, good options, elevator is available, although very small but it does what is needed. Room is ok, shower box is very small. Hotel staff is nice.

The hotel is central to the train station and close to walk to the port. The hotel is clean and staff are friendly. It is a large hotel with only one elevator, which is a cool very old one - but if people don’t close the door, it becomes stuck and won’t come to you. I had to carry a large suitcase up 4 floors! The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. I will stay again.

Vi valgte dette hotellet blant annet pga. parkering, men sannheten er at de IKKE har parkering tilgjengelig, men de guider deg til parkingen som tilhører togstasjonen som ligger over gaten (400-500 meter å gå fra parkeringsplassen). Vil ikke anbefale dette hotellet igjen

The staff is fantastic and very helpful, even called my B&B at the Rome airport to inquire about airport shuttle for us there. The room is basic and functional. The bed was comfortable and good shower. Really cool 100 year old cage elevator up to our room. We chose this property because it’s directly across from the train station and we had a 7am departure. The area itself is as you would expect near a station..a little grungy. We walked to the harbor and that was a bit sketchy too from here so probably best to just get a taxi. Overall it was fine.

B&B Hotel Genova was conveniently located to the train station (though actually maneuvering to and from the station was not easy). While convenient to the Genoa downtown, the actual neighborhood seemed devoid of good dining and shopping options. The place had a young vibe, with lots of groups of teens coming and going. Getting to the room included using one of those weird antique double-door cage elevators that can be a pain to operate. The room was spacious compared to the bathroom that was modestly stocked (no soap at the sink) narrow and oddly configured (you had to swivel 45-degrees to do your business). The bed mattress was squishy but, thankfully, the pillows were firm. WIFI was rock solid.

Beautiful, comfortable, spotlessly clean room with an incredible view - and it was extremely quiet considering it's directly on the Piazza! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Fantastic value for the money - I would definitely stay here again!

The location was perfect: just across the street from the train station. The room was very average but the bathroom was below average. The faucet was too short for the sink; therefore, the water would hit the porcelain on the faucet side and was difficult to use. The shower grout was full of mold and the floor drain was hard to move around. Lastly, there was no shower door: only a half clear glass wall which did not keep the water from splashing out of the stall. It was sufficient for our purposes since we spent very little time in our room.

The hotel seems to have been renovated fairly recently, but despite that it's condition could be improved. The wall and ceiling was peeling and the silicone in the shower had several black spots. The location was very convenient, right next to the railway station. The breakfast felt rather basic.

Not bad value for money, good location, and friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed. Door to corridor badly insulated, could hear everything happening outside my room. Windows also not great at keeping out noise from busy junction outside. AC unit also a bit dodgy.

Location : 80 meters from the train station (next to it basically), 1.2km from the aquarium (13-15€ by taxi) The rooms are very simple but clean, there is not a real wardrobe but more like a structure with hangers , you have a safe and a small fridge . Bathroom has a shower , toilet and bidet and sink . Rooms have a bench and a desk with chair. Staff is exquisite , always smiling and happy to help, they fluently speak many languages , they give great suggestions on restaurants and such and will call a taxi for you at any time . Breakfast is good , a table with sweets (home made cakes , pan au chocolate , brioches and doughnuts and another table with yogurt , cereals , eggs bread ecc only bad thing is that the coffee is given by machine and no fresh juices. The hall as all sorts of snacks and beverage that you can purchase anytime . Overall the hotel was very good by quality and convenience , will return . If you decide to stay here go eat in front of the hotel at “trattoria Tralalero” and for a quick snack and eat a great focaccia near the corner at “fooditaly”.

The hotel has a good location opposite to the train station. The reception desk agent was very kind. The room was spacious, but there were a few things wrong. First, the AC was leaking so all night long you hear it dripping. Due to the water damage on the wall, this isn’t a new problem. Second, in the shower the warm water was marked as cold and the cold water was hot. This is very dangerous. Third, the safe wasn’t working. The room was on the 3rd floor. The elevator is for 1 person only, so be prepared to walk some stairs. We only stayed one night. The next morning at check-out we reported the problems. The only reaction of the agent at the reception (in the morning) was: ok… The hotel is named B&B but don’t count on a free breakfast (bed and breakfast?)… you only get a voucher if you make an account and you participate in the ‘frequent visitor program’.

Awful service. We went upstairs in a creaky unsafe elevator and took one look at our room and walked back downstairs to leave. No attendant at the lobby. We waited then left. Tried to call to cancel our booking and the phone rang and rang then disconnected. Went back later in person waited again for attendant. Still charged me for the room- won’t respond via email. Avoid this place!

We stayed 2 nights before our cruise and one night after. The personnel were very nice and helpful. The rooms were very clean. The hotel is next to the train station. 15 minute walk to the port and 20 minutes car ride to the airport. Walking distance to everthing. I would diffinently go back to this hotel if I were to go bake to Genoa.

I would diffinently go back to this hotel if I were to go bake to Genoa.

Close to train. We were given a.street side room on the first floor after requesting a quiet room. The window seals allowed the wind to come through creating a loud whistling noise on top of the incredibly loud street sounds. By 11pm I went to the lobby to request a different room and the rude obnoxious male staff literally started yelling at me that they cannot do anything about the wind, no offer to change rooms. Thankfully a lady manager, Pia, appeared and immediately arranged a move to a different room. We slept well after

If you are looking for the ideal hotel location in Genova, it is difficult to beat this location - so close to the main railway station with lots of local buses, and only a 10 minute walk from the harbour. But more than this - the hotel was excellent and having breakfast onsite was a huge plus.

We stayed 2 nights before our cruise and one night after. The personnel were very nice and helpful. The rooms were very clean. The hotel is next to the train station. 15 minute walk to the port and 20 minutes car ride to the airport. Walking distance to everthing. Steps away from Genova Piazza Principe Train station. A convenient location as we travelled to Cinque Terre and Turin, but added in travel days in Genova, staying at B and B. Older property; renovated annd clean, with the exception of really old wooden flooring. Excellent breakfast buffet. Only negative would be that the water pressure appeared to be low in the mornings and sometimes the water was cold; would recommend showering in the evening. I would definitely stay again, if I were to return to Genova.

The hotel was fine for our purposes as they upgraded us to a triple room, so plenty big for two of us. Bed was fine, bathroom was large although there is very little depth to the shower so it easily overflows on to the floor. We had a train in the morning and it was literally across the street from the station. This was the main reason we chose the hotel. The staff were very friendly and courteous. The area around the hotel we felt was pretty limited for dining choices. I think it is Via Balbi, it was nice but once we turned towards the port area it was much less pleasant. I would not recommend walking in that area. Overall, our stay was okay. We slept well and the breakfast was pretty good for 9 Euros per person. If you want to be conveniently located to walk to the train station then it is a good value, otherwise there are probably better areas of Genoa to stay.

Location : 80 meters from the train station (next to it basically), 1.2km from the aquarium (13-15€ by taxi) The rooms are very simple but clean, there is not a real wardrobe but more like a structure with hangers , you have a safe and a small fridge . Bathroom has a shower , toilet and bidet and sink . Rooms have a bench and a desk with chair. Staff is exquisite , always smiling and happy to help, they fluently speak many languages , they give great suggestions on restaurants and such and will call a taxi for you at any time . Breakfast is good , a table with sweets (home made cakes , pan au chocolate , brioches and doughnuts and another table with yogurt , cereals , eggs bread ecc only bad thing is that the coffee is given by machine and no fresh juices. The hall as all sorts of snacks and beverage that you can purchase anytime . Overall the hotel was very good by quality and convenience , will return . If you decide to stay here go eat in front of the hotel at “trattoria Tralalero” and for a quick snack and eat a great focaccia near the corner at “fooditaly”.

Excellent value and location for three-to-four day visits to Genoa. Breakfast price very reasonable and with wide availability. However, the dining room can be very crowded and can be a bit chaotic, as it is laid out. Otherwise all other other aspects were very good. Staff super friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

Good location, friendly reception staff. Room was very small, partly maybe because the bathroom was for disabled persons and therefore bigger. No entry to the balcony but there were a lot of cigarette butts and it looked dirty. Efficient aircon, pretty good bed. TV had only Italian channels. Good breakfast with lot of choices.
