From the moment I approached the hotel I felt like a very special, welcome guest. My luggage was carried up the steps to the lobby. I asked the concierge if I may leave my bags until check-in; instead, Eskodar offered an immediate check-in and a room with a view! That set the tone for a wonderful, 2-day stay. The hotel restaurant is lovely, service exemplary, creative menu with a South American flair. Small bar has live entertainment, there's a casual lounge off the lobby. Location is ideal: walk to museums, shops, cafes, or hop the free, King St. trolley or circulator bus.

Great quick trip to Old Town in this wonderful boutique hotel. The hotel is very inviting with lots of great spots to relax in. The bar was cozy with a fantastic bartender and fun cocktails. They had a live piano player on Saturday night. The rooms are small, but modern and comfortable. It’s a very easy walk down King Street to the waterfront. Just be aware there is no parking on site. You can street park or valet for $45/night. Highly recommend!

This is me and my wife's favorite place to stay when we want a staycation. The mixologist on staff is amazing (if you are into mixed drinks), and the hotel is so close to many of our favorite restaurants in the area. So walkable, yet off the beaten path. As a lover of books, getting to take books home is a bonus. We stay here at least 2 times a year.

The elevator did not work. The bar and restaurant were both closed. It was 96 degrees and we had to walk up to the 5 th floor. The staff is fantastic.

Very very convenient to the rest of Old Town. Everything within walking distance from the hotel. Underground parking was great. The rooms were "spartan", but we like that as we did not stay in the room for very long. Bed was very comfortable. We expected to see a little more in the lobby area that told us about the history of the house ...but nothing that we saw connected us to the house's past.

Being an Autograph Hotel,I was a bit disappointed. The location is unbeatable but there is no place to park on your own. Valet is $45 a night, too pricey for me! There is a nice fountain in front of the hotel that is in a desperate need of paint and the front door looks a little rough. Otherwise, very clean,nice staff, nice breakfast $25, and a small bar. I would stay here again for the location.

I routinely stay in the Marriott Autograph Collection hotel chain. They usually are very special. Unfortunately I can’t say that for the Morrison House in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia which is an Autograph Collection Hotel. The outside of the building is very charming. However once you put your foot in the door all that charm vanishes. The interior is very dingy, and down right dirty. There appeared to be dried splattered stains all over the elevator doors and walls. I was a little hesitant in even getting in it. When we entered our room there was a dirty used glass with dried coffee in it. It obviously had been there for quite a while. There were dirty used towels on the bathroom counter top. I immediately went to the front desk and told them what I found. The receptionist checked his computer and said the hotel supervisor had personally signed off that the room was clean and ready. We were given another room that was clean but unfortunately the shower soap dispenser was empty. I didn’t find it out until I was taking a shower. I just used the shampoo for shower gel. The room did not appear the way the photos show it to be. The room was very gloomy and dark. It is also partially underground. When you look out the window your head is literally at the same level as the street. Needless to say we were very disappointed in our room. The staff was very friendly and the location is very good but in no way is this a four star hotel. Because of the poor filthy

Very quaint and charming old Hotel, beautifully maintained. Pleasant, friendly staff. Smack in the center of Old Town, 1/2 mile easy walk from The best fireworks yet, this time shot off at midnight from the Potomic- Firtst time in all the years we've been coming. Pleasant, friendly, feels safe.

Booking was difficult. I was in Paris trying to get a room for the evening of my return. I was told that my credit cards (3) did not work although they had been fine for multiple transactions in France. I was put on long holds and then the agent tried to book me in other properties. $4 bottles of water when the price was not clearly shown was over the top. The so called "breakfast" was inadequate and way over priced.

From the moment I approached the hotel I felt like a very special, welcome guest. My luggage was carried up the steps to the lobby. I asked the concierge if I may leave my bags until check-in; instead, Eskodar offered an immediate check-in and a room with a view! That set the tone for a wonderful, 2-day stay. The hotel restaurant is lovely, service exemplary, creative menu with a South American flair. Small bar has live entertainment, there's a casual lounge off the lobby. Location is ideal: walk to museums, shops, cafes, or hop the free, King St. trolley or circulator bus.

A nice hotel in a nice area. Friendly staff but it took over 30 minutes to check-in because of issues with the last minute reservation I made through Expedia. The night staff required making a copy of my drivers license and credit before I received a room key.

The elevator did not work. The bar and restaurant were both closed. It was 96 degrees and we had to walk up to the 5 th floor. The staff is fantastic.

Great quick trip to Old Town in this wonderful boutique hotel. The hotel is very inviting with lots of great spots to relax in. The bar was cozy with a fantastic bartender and fun cocktails. They had a live piano player on Saturday night. The rooms are small, but modern and comfortable. It’s a very easy walk down King Street to the waterfront. Just be aware there is no parking on site. You can street park or valet for $45/night. Highly recommend!

This is me and my wife's favorite place to stay when we want a staycation. The mixologist on staff is amazing (if you are into mixed drinks), and the hotel is so close to many of our favorite restaurants in the area. So walkable, yet off the beaten path. As a lover of books, getting to take books home is a bonus. We stay here at least 2 times a year.

Being an Autograph Hotel,I was a bit disappointed. The location is unbeatable but there is no place to park on your own. Valet is $45 a night, too pricey for me! There is a nice fountain in front of the hotel that is in a desperate need of paint and the front door looks a little rough. Otherwise, very clean,nice staff, nice breakfast $25, and a small bar. I would stay here again for the location.

Very quaint and charming old Hotel, beautifully maintained. Pleasant, friendly staff. Smack in the center of Old Town, 1/2 mile easy walk from The best fireworks yet, this time shot off at midnight from the Potomic- Firtst time in all the years we've been coming. Pleasant, friendly, feels safe.

Derrick, an amazing piano player and singer, serenaded us in the bar. He is there Thursday and Friday evenings and well worth a visit. The bartender was great also. Exceptionally kind service.

Booking was difficult. I was in Paris trying to get a room for the evening of my return. I was told that my credit cards (3) did not work although they had been fine for multiple transactions in France. I was put on long holds and then the agent tried to book me in other properties. $4 bottles of water when the price was not clearly shown was over the top. The so called "breakfast" was inadequate and way over priced.

Second stay. Sadly, experience declined from the first. Window shade broken. Children running, screaming in the halls and lobby. Dog barking and running in the hall 6:30 AM. Staff overwhelmed?
