Pool could use some work. Uncomfortable. Life guard on duty, whom is obviously bored and not wanting to be there. They have no choice but to stare at the 1 family swimming. Really uncomfortable when you have a wife and teenage daughter with you. Only a couple chairs with nowhere to put your stuff if more than 1 family is there. The hotel was great. Bar area great. Room was great. Staff was great. But the pool needs some love.

Nice and large rooms. Good variety in the included breakfast. Pretty good gym, but some of the equipment didn't work. Well sized pool. Popular daily happy hours included. Very convenient placement of the hotel next to trains, metro and buses including free shuttle to central Alexandria.

Check-in was quick. Happy hour and breakfast were both very good, with friendly staff. Location was great and close to restaurants. We really did not hear much noise even though it was across the street from the train station. Probably the only thing that was a little difficult was the parking garage. There were so many pillars that it was hard to maneuver in a small SUV. It was a good thing we stopped at the front desk to check out, or we would not have known we needed to keep one room key to get out of the garage. Overall this was a great stay.

Great location, conveniently close to the Metro and the bus stand. Also very close to restaurants on King street. Hotel could improve the fitness centre as it seemed not maintained regularly to fix broken equipments, no water etc. Strong smell of the carpet in the corridors which needs cleaning.

Horrible parking for 37$ per day I’ve ever seen in my life. That’s literally no space to escape from driver door cause of beams. No space to park. Doesn’t worth those money. Also we found two empty cans from beer in our room. Swimming pole is so small, a lot of people. What we really loved is breakfast with a lot of options and location. That’s it

The ratings on Expedia were not honest. The only person who was nice was the gentleman at the front desk. The lady at the at was rude. The life guard was rude and not personable for kids. They hade at least 15 adults watching their kids in their nasty pull and five chairs to sit. Everyone was just awkwardly standing. Not family friendly at all. Dirty. Stinky. The did switch us to a better smelling room than the one before but overall the hotel was not near as good as other embassy hotels or other hotels we previously stayed for half the price.

The hotel was not dirty, but definitely not clean. There was food smeared on the elevator floor for several days, and also spilled in the hallway which was cleaned up hours after I first observed it. We stayed here for the location to the Metro, which was definitely the best perk. However, I learned there are a few other hotels right near the same spot, so I would not stay here again. The happy hour/evening bites was a joke. Everyone staying in the hotel was eager every night for for this event, the lines were long and the bartender was hustling! Did a great job keeping the line moving, however, the "bites" portion was a joke. They would put out a enough food a family of 6, so people were constantly waiting for the refill, the food offered was the same three nights in a row, with mystery dips b/c they were not labeled. I finally got a plate of vegetables and used the dip, which turned out to be horseradish sauce, not what I had expected. And an odd option for veggies. And the also uber small cheese plate had cheese that appeared partially dried out. There were also candies, but many people just dug directly into the bowl with their hands and didn't use the spoon provided. I have had much better happy hour/evening bite perks elsewhere. The breakfast was also substandard with the dishes in the hotplates not being hot. The waffles were soggy and cold. The pillows were awful, switched from feather to foam and the foam was worse than feather. The couch cushions were ripped.

Could be nice, needs to be updated badly. Carpets were dirty and smelled sour, AC barely worked drains clogged and sinks drained slow. Breakfast options were good, parking was terrible our car was hit by signs in the garage because they are not accurately hung ( height said 6’3 but were lower) owners are aware according to hotel staff and nobody is correcting the issue and they still charge you for the limited parking. Beds were uncomfortable especially sofa bed. You could feel the metal bars through the extremely thin mattress. Staff were all very nice.

This hotel was very conveniently located right across from the metro station as well as a stop on the free King St trolley. The breakfast was delicious every morning with many options. The room was a good size and housekeeping came every day. The pool area was not very clean. Overall we would definitely stay again.

“Executive” suite was in dire need of renovation. Rickety cabinets with no amenities. Not even a bottle opener. Dirty water fountains, the stench of urea rising up from the pool and a rat the size of a toy yorkie nonchalantly wandering around the front driveway and “decorative” front flower beds. Elevators that barely worked and just a general lack of maintenance and care made this property a definite “do not return to” hotel.

Excellent service. From Justin at the front desk to the breakfast staff, everyone was helpful, kind, and very polite. The location was very convenient with a Metro station right across the street. There are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance.

We had a small fire occurring at 5:30 am during our stay..no staff telling us what to do or where to go in 30 degree weather was disconcerting. We wound up at the the Hilton 2 blocks away just to stay warm

Whenever we visit the DMV area from NY we always stay at Embassy Suites. There has never been a time where the amenities and service was not top notch but this time in particular the front desk agent Kandi was exceptional. Just when we thought the service couldn't get any better Kandi proved us wrong. Thank you for making our normally great visit even better!

Very nice community with lots of restaurants and unique shopping within walking distance. We were literally right across the street from the metro and train station, even though we had our own vehicle. This is a great property for sightseeing adventures that could use the metro train and bus services. There is also a free trolley for old town Alexandria.

This was a great experience for us. Large suite for family of 5. Great breakfast and snack/happy hours. Great restaurants within easy walking distance. The metro was super easy to navigate and was directly across the street. All of the staff were super helpful and did a fabulous job taking care of us! The view from our room was incredible of the Washington Masonic Moment and the cherry trees that were in full bloom during our visit. Highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting DC.

We loved the area and the Hotel. It was very easy to get to the hotel on light rail metro. It was very easy to get to the Museums and to it was the trolley was free to ride to the river front from dinner and shopping. The Hotel was wonderful. The breakfast was tops.

Conveniently located to metro, mostly clean. Complimentary evening reception was nice for guests, however keeping well stocked regularly was inconsistent day to day. Great breakfast setup with the option to order omelets / pancakes etc.

The hotel was very clean and such an added bonus as they included 2 free drink vouchers per person for happy hour along with some apps and an amazing breakfast where the cook made awesome omelettes!
