Location, Location, Location. This is really the compelling reason why someone might select this property over other properties in the area. We were assigned a room on 3rd floor but elevator was not working so the front office staff offered the freight elevator which was OK. The room itself was more than adequate.

There is no parking at the hotel unless you pay an additional $50 to valet your car. Construction going on at the motel. Ice machines only on 1st floor. Room was super dirty. Carpet had not been vacuumed and the vents to the AC were black. Sink in restroom was clogged. The faucet was broken in shower. Very minimal towels and toiletries. Thankfully brought our own Lysol wipes to tidy up the room. Lots of noise from the area. There was cars racing up and down the road and ambulance or cop sirens all night. Lots of loud people at the hotel. Breakfast was not that great. Minimal options. One plus was the check in staff was very friendly and accommodating. Valet person was super friendly. It was only one night so toughed it out but highly recommend not to stay here.

The staff was very helpful, but the room was a bit dirty. Found used eyelashes behind the bathroom door, sheets had stains on them, but you definitely get what you pay for. Also, the pool was green and unusable.

This property has been around for awhile. The rate was very good for downtown Austin, but there was another $50.00 a day to park in the attached parking garage.

My wife, daughter and I stayed here overnight. The location and the A/C were the only bright spots — the room cooled very well and the beds were comfortable. Otherwise the property feels rundown. The gym had a sign saying it was closed indefinitely. Stair access from the parking garage reeked of urine. Our room smelled musty, the air filters looked filthy, and the tub was grimy with hair around the edges. The shower handle wouldn’t hold for hot water, so we ended up with cold showers. Very unlikely that I'll stay again.

There were dead roaches all over the room. Blood stains on the sheets. When i switched rooms there was no ac then no hot water. The toilet would not flush. Overall that was the worst hotel i've ever stayed at. So dirty all over the place.

Do not stay here!! This place is disgustingly filthy. We arrived at our room to find a squatter in there on the first night. We got a different room that smelled of mold. The bed was comfy but the carpet, the floor, the curtains etc was so dirty and dusty. Me and my partner tried to stay out of the property as much as possible because of how dirty and sick we felt there. Our key card stopped working twice when there and no one was at the desk for ages. The elevator broke too during our stay. When stripping the bed on the last day. I discovered a massive blood stain as if someone had bleed out on the mattress. I felt unsafe when in the hotel.

I GOT BEDBUGS FROM THIS PLACE!!! Also I had to move to another room because the first one smelled so bad. The other one stunk less but still had a distinct smell. Front desk made it seem like they were doing me a favor with the move. Breakfast is awful and cops are constantly hanging around the parking lot. I’m pretty low-maintenance when it comes to accommodations but this was truly a new low. Do not stay here, it’s really not worth it!

The water pressure wasn’t the best. Water temp was mediocre. The bathroom main light didn’t half the time. My TV didn’t work. It was the cheapest and most convenient room. I was the only to sleep and have parking without spending hundreds a night. The staff was really friendly and helpful with what they could do.

What a dump. Avoid. My door wouldn't close and lock, I asked the front desk manager if I could change rooms. She told me "no, but I can cancel your reservation and refund your money if you'd like to stay somewhere else." I book approximately 60+ hotelnights per year, I'm a Platinum hotels.com member, and I've never seen service this crappy. This is the first time I've ever left a bad review for a property. Avoid and just stay somewhere else.

The hotel is OLD and DIRTY. The room we had was large with 2 bathroom. One bathroom the toilet did not work but the other did. The couch was torn and had multiple cigarette burns. The floor of the elevator was disgusting with trash piled in one corner and obviously had not been sweeped or mopped for days. The bathrooms in the room were clearly not swepted for days based on the piles of dirt behind the doors. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked well. The location is good for downtown. When we got ready in the morning we discovered the hair dryer did not work. My wife went to the desk to get one and was told they didn't have any. The clerk then went to several other rooms and the all were inoperable. The lady who checked us in was nice and pleasant. The staff in the morning was extremely rude and unhelpful and simply kept saying, there is nothing they can do. I would really think twice about staying there. I know we never will again.

We ended up parking several blocks away and walking. The room itself was in bad shape — the bathtub constantly ran water, the shower head was literally taped together with Flex Seal, and there were leftover plastic cups from the previous guests in the corner. It didn’t feel clean at all. The walls are thin, so we could hear noisy neighbors late into the night. The whole place looks like it hasn’t been painted or properly maintained in years. The beds were really good. The staff was very accommodating to my request for a quiet room - the room was very quiet. The bathroom could use a going-over - there was a constant dripping from the toilet and something needs to be done to combat the effects of moisture. The water did not heat up adequately.

The lobby staff was very nice however the hotel is terrible- it is old and run down. We were there for 4 days- The room was never serviced, we never got any new towels. There was one tiny bar of soap and the smallest shampoo I’ve ever seen. The shower was mediocre and barely hot. We had to empty our own trash cans. The front office staff was completely wonderful, shout-out to them for being friendly, cooperative, and making the check-in and check-out process easy. But otherwise, the experience was not that great. There were a good amount of options for breakfast, but whoever was in charge of it seemed to be dictating everything from behind. You had to ask for the most basic things to be served to you, and it was frustrating. The housekeeping staff wasn't friendly at all. When we asked if they could roll their cart out of the way so we could get through the narrow hallway, they were visibly annoyed. And to top it all off, we saw cockroaches in our room, which was a big turn-off. That alone prevented us from eating breakfast at all. Once again, kudos to the front office personnel those were the highlight of the stay. But the rest of the experience definitely brought down the overall rating.

Wow. What a dumpster fire. The property is filthy and apparently “under renovation”. If you have men scraping paint off the building and renovation 12 hours a day that should be in HUGE print somewhere prior to letting people make reservations. The manager on duty was filming a Tik Tok video so she couldn’t hear me when I tried to let them know that my AC/Heat was not functioning properly. I was told one room move was all that was allowed, and the manager didn’t know how to make sure the AC/Heat worked so she couldn’t check it for me before I moved rooms. Luckily the second room had a working AC unit. Carpet is so dirty it turned my feet brown - I was to wash my feet and wear my shows in the room to stay clean. The parking is a joke- it cost me an additional $80 for a 2 night stay to visit my mother for her birthday, and I got to watch a group of 3 boys with 2 cars parked next to me be told not to worry about paying the fee as the only way they would get towed is if the manager called in them. Then proceeded to tell them not to worry and go buy themselves some food instead. Wow again. Do yourself a favor and never ever for any reason stay here. I beg of you. Go to a motel 5. Literally anywhere else.
Wow. What a dumpster fire. The property is filthy and apparently “under renovation”. If you have men scraping paint off the building and renovation 12 hours a day that should be in HUGE print somewhere prior to letting people make reservations. The manager on duty was filming a Tik Tok video so she couldn’t hear me when I tried to let them know that my AC/Heat was not functioning properly. I was told one room move was all that was allowed, and the manager didn’t know how to make sure the AC/Heat worked so she couldn’t check it for me before I moved rooms. Luckily the second room had a working AC unit. Carpet is so dirty it turned my feet brown - I was to wash my feet and wear my shows in the room to stay clean. What a dump. Avoid. My door wouldn't close and lock, I asked the front desk manager if I could change rooms. She told me "no, but I can cancel your reservation and refund your money if you'd like to stay somewhere else." I book approximately 60+ hotelnights per year, I'm a Platinum hotels.com member, and I've never seen service this crappy. This is the first time I've ever left a bad review for a property. Avoid and just stay somewhere else.

The front counter staff was rude, acted like we asked her stupid questions. No refirdgerator, phone had no cord/power, closet was difficult to open due to the way the handles were installed incorrectly. Sign pointed the way to the ice machine and there was no machine. We valet parked our vehicle and had to get it ourselves and still was charged $45.00 a day.

Staff were very nice the entire stay- building is older but for the price and location it was perfectly fine. I loved that they had tons of vending machines that worked and the drinks were cold. There was plenty parking even though it cost money I’d expect that anywhere downtown in a big city so I didn’t mind and it was disclosed beforehand that there was a price for parking. The beds were clean and very comfy which for a value priced hotel is always my worry. But the beds were perfect- AC worked great in the room!

Got woken up in the middle of the night by Someone trying to get into are room , thank god we had the deadbolt and u bolt secured if not they would have. They manage to crack the trim of the door with the force they made. Front desk night John had no empty and no customer service skills he asked what could he do for me was he can switch rooms or I can checkout. I checked out immediately after that and he never went to check on us or send anyone despite me telling him I was scared to leave the room . The audacity of him when I checked out ,He gave me my checkout receipt and said thank you ! Called this morning and a man named Jonathan said he could issue a refund and said he would escalate it to manager tomorrow morning and I can expect a call . Thank you Jonathan for showing empathy and concern with the safety of your guest.

Location, Location, Location. This is really the compelling reason why someone might select this property over other properties in the area. We were assigned a room on 3rd floor but elevator was not working so the front office staff offered the freight elevator which was OK. The room itself was more than adequate.

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The place is quite worn down but conveniently located right next to the Capitol building, and within walking distance of downtown Austin and UT Austin. Works fine if you’re just looking for a place to sleep. The housekeeper in our corridor was not very friendly, but at least the one in the opposite corridor was, giving us a hello and a smile to start our day.

i was seeking a place close to the trs building. it is within walking distance. that and its proximity to the capitol building, which is quite beautiful with its grounds and pathways, are the only positives. i drove five hours arriving 2 hours after the time i told them i would arrive. my room was not ready. they did not know how long it would be and invited me to wait in the lobby or in my truck. then she asked me about the dog i had already asked for permission to have with me and paid for in advance. i had to tell her those things before she found them on the computer. when my room was ready, i was informed i could park on the bottom 3 levels but if there was space on level 2 i could park there. there is a staircase but no elevator from the parking garage so you need to unload your car to your room before parking. i was cautioned i might need to renew the key cards to my room after one use if i chose to go out. i was told only one of two elevators was working also. the carpet in the hallway was dirty, stained, and smelled of the days when smoking was permitted. the room was as clean as it could be but the walls were stained with fingerprints, there were rusted metal items in the bathroom, and the carpet in the room was not very clean either. the ac worked well and the bed was clean and well made. i was told there was a continental breakfast, but i was in a hurry to leave the next morning and skipped it. i wish i had paid more attention to the star rating!

Piles of dust in the corners where uts hard to vacuum. No shampoo/lotion provided in the room, had to ask at the desk. Stains on the shower curtain, looked like blood. Kleenex tissue holder provided, but no tissues in it. Room smelled like cat or dog. "Breakfast" supposed to go to 9:00 am, but by 8 40 most of everything was out, not replenished. Fruit was green oranges that looked like defects. Ive stayed in a lot of hotels, never seen this many problems at one property.

Disappointing. My room was old, moldy smelly and gross. The space was unsafe as in the doors to the hallways were unlocked and not working ao random people were wandering around at times. I always book a hotel with a gym. They advertise having one but was told its shut down. The breakfast was very limited. I have stayed with this chain in several other cities and quite feankly dont know how the franchise allows their name on this property.

Staff were pleasant and helpful, but overall condition of the venue & room was poor. Desk chair in the room had the arms ripped off, bath tap constantly ran even when off, sink was partially blocked, cleaners came once in 8 days and had to ask 3 times. Breakfast was pitiful, coffee and fruit or microwave burger or peeled eggs in a bag. Made me truly appreciate the budget hotels I normally sneer at back home in the UK. Paid a premium because of the F1, which the location luckily was next to the Waterloo park shuttle busses and a short walk to downtown and next to the capitol building which was a positive. Would I have stayed here usually, no, but served a purpose for this trip.

The place was under renovation but overall was a good stay. What I didn’t like was that the property tried to charge a smoke fee when we aren’t smokers and apparently the “sensor” went off in the room from using their hair dryer. So ladies, take your own hair dryer! Other than that, it was an overall nice stay!

The hotel needs some upgrades. Our toilet was no flushable. I had to reach in the bowl to make it flush. The AC unit has mold buildup around the framework. We can smell the moldy smell in the air. The carpet is really outdated.
