Stay Inn by OYO Near I 80 Lincoln West

Room was ok but you’ll grow old waiting for hot water or the toilet to flush! Outside didn’t even have a sign for the motel!

This was advertised as a SureStay by BestWestern but it is not. When we arrived, all signage on the motel had been stripped off. It looks like it was acquired by a new owner and not kept to the same standard. At check in, the receptionist informed us that they hadn’t been payed by Expedia yet (though we had payed Expedia at the time of reservation) and couldn’t give us the room yet. He spent a few minutes on the phone with his manager and got it sorted out. The room was disgusting. Smelled strongly of mold and mildew. There were cigarette burns on the bed covers, bugs in the shower, and the sink wouldn’t drain. Cleaning and maintenance was not being performed adequately. It was a very uncomfortable stay and we left as early as possible.

Pretty good place to stay. I couldn't find it right away because their sign was missing. I can't complain about anything else.

When you pull up it might look like the property is abandoned. We got there at 1:30pm and the office was locked because they were cleaning rooms. I called and the manager said it would cost $20 for an early check in so we went and ate instead before coming back after 3:00 for check in. I booked a double queen but when we got to our room it was a single king. I went back to the office and the manager got us into a double queen. The manager was very polite and was a good guy. Our room had a bit of a musty smell but we really didn’t care as we were in town for a football game and just needed a place to crash after the game and the bars. Beds were nice, air worked, as did the fridge. Only 2 miles from downtown so the Uber ride was only $7 both ways and hotels downtown of course were gauging people at $400+ per night while we paid $88. I read another review where it said the area around the hotel was sketchy or unsafe; that is untrue. The Embassy Suites it is not, but if you are looking for a place to crash after a night out this hotel will do the job for the location and price.

The atmosphere was nice. The remote didn't work for the tv but staff tried to fix it. When I did laundry, my quarters got stuck in the dryer so I had to line dry my clothes

Bugs in the room? Shower floor stained & fire extinguisher on wall broken, no ac, Etc.

Missed the turn because there was no sign nor lights in the parking lot and it was dark when we arrived. TV is very small, room is too wide so you can't see very well from bed, not that we watched due to it didn't work! Only one channel. No lights next to the bed so we had to leave a lamp by door on to see. Pillows are as small as airline ones and not all the same shape. We had to plug all lights in when we came into the room and it was freezing as the heat wasn't on. But it at least it did heat up a little quick. Bathroom door knob locks but doesn't matter as you can just push the door open since it doesnt latch. But it was ok for a one night stay.

This place is a dump. Nothing like that picture is anywhere on the premises. The first room was like a sauna and the rug actually felt wet. Very hot. The second room, thanks to a very nice front desk clerk, was dirty but cool. TV didnt work.

Smelled like smoke in the lobby, rooms had a smell, A LOT A LOT of suspicious activities in the parking lot! Refused to stay. At the counter they stated that we couldn't get a refund. Called and they didn't have a corporate line (must be independently owned), and still denied refund. Will be reporting to FTC and BBB. Working with Expedia currently. Needs to be taken off website!

The place was dusty and very dirty. Scared to sleep on the sheets due to bedbugs.

Rooms were dirty, toilet didn't work due to a paraphernalia needle lodged in tank. Random people in room that was supposed to be empty. We checked in and left due to bugs and hair in beds.

We did not stay here. Photos online were wildly out of date, the facility was much more dilapidated than the photos led you to believe. Sheets were stained, with dried gum and numerous other things I'd rather not imagine. Mattress was also stained, did not trust that it was not currently or at some point infected with bed bugs. Room also had a very strong unpleasant odor.

Refundable deposits was not refunded. Communication from the property did not indicate issues with stay. Room did not have smoke detectors and light in bathroom did not work properly. Bed and towels were dirty and AC/Heater was set to 90 when outside temp was already 97. Took the room 5 hours to cool down enough to be able to sleep.

DON’T STAY HERE. I chose this property based on location; convenient freeway on/off in relation to my travel route. Access was extremely easy and there was a gas station to fill up at when I left, right across the street. The pictures provided to Expedia are definitely NOT an accurate representation of the property. Though there were some new pieces of furniture in the rooms, and the bed/pillows were comfortable, it was all for not with detractors such as moldy shower curtain, 1 of 3 light bulbs working in the bathroom, dingy/stained sandpaper for towels, toilet seat not even bolted to the toilet bowl, curtain rod barely attached to the wall and hot water that was barely luke warm at best. The stairs, handrail and second story walkway were deteriorating with steps being of different heights. At check-in I was required to put down a $50 CASH deposit with out a receipt to prove the transaction. Room key card envelopes were clearly recycled as the one for my room was worn and ripped enough to not be an envelope anymore but more of a folded piece of paper. The property is located near the rail yard so don’t expect a quiet night sleep with rail car squeals and all associated noises with an all night crew keeping trains connecting and moving. The property did not offer any sense of security. Guests were also very loud as they came and went throughout the night with doors slamming, shouting/arguing and dogs barking.

When i booked through hotels.com, it clearly states check in 11am and check out 11am. I drove from Denver to Lincoln and arrived at Noon. I walked in the lobby, went to the counter to check in but noone was at the counter. I could hear a guy talking on the phone and laughing. I stood there for 23 minutes until housekeeping walked in, let herself in the side door and saw me. She told the guy then he came out. He kept the convo going on his phone via speaker mode. The person on speaker was loud and the guy checked me in while whispering to me. Check in isn't until 3pm he said. I said on hotels.com it clearly shows 11am. He said I needed to call hotels.com to let them know. I said, "its YOUR ad! not Mine!" I had to pay $25 to check in early. I get to my room. TV doesnt work so i had to tell the guy. He goes to the room and eventually fixed the problem. Im trying to get settled in. The sink has hair in. Lots of hair. The bathroom mirror was absolutely dirty and hadn't been cleaned kn a long time The toilet lid is cracked, the full length mirror hasn't been cleaned in a long time, there was a ring left after i picked up my drink and it shows how dusty the table was. Hasn't been cleaned in a long time. Black dead bug on one of the pillows.

We stayed in a ground level room and were shocked to find NO CURTAINS on the windows, which are right over the bed! So anyone walking past our room could watch us sleep. Creepy.

I would not recommend staying here. I got to my room and could easily open the door without a key card, no matter how many times I tried closing the door properly so it would lock. The only way I could lock the room was if I was inside, and I used the little latch at the top of the door. On the morning of checkout (checkout is 11:00 am) I was in the shower at 10:30 am and a cleaner/maintenance person tried entering my room, and when the latch stopped them they knocked for 5 minutes. I exit the shower to see that they have left my door cracked open, with the latch as the only thing stopping the door from opening all the way. If you value privacy and safety I would really shy away from staying here.

Very run down. Scungy place with broken door lock and a floor about to give way. Bed tilts down at head. Staff struggled to find Expedia reservation. Stay somewhere else.

The facility had no reservation for me & was full. I had to travel an hour outs of Lincoln to find a place to stay. Today the is a pending no show charge to my card. I SO NOT BE CHARGED FOR A STAY I WAS DENIED!!!

They said that they could only accept cash and that it was going to be 3 times what i paid on hotels.com due to them not accepting my reservation

The hotel was sold and has not yet officially reopened, it will have a new name and be a best western, but I paid on the app and then again on arrival because they “don’t have a contract” with Expedia should take off website

We never got a room. They claimed there was a processing issue in their system, we hung around for a couple of hours really needing to get moving, but then ended up leaving. They promised us a room later no matter what and we\'d "pay later" like we chose via Expedia, but later after our events and game, they told us they didn\'t have a room for us and earlier it was just their "polite way" of saying we weren\'t getting a room since others paid them ahead or more money. Ridiculous. Luckily I had a cousin who lives in town and we were able to stay with her. There were NO other hotel rooms left in town. Do not trust this hotel. Call ahead and confirm things if you have no other choice, and apparently, pay them ahead of time. Ruined our day and trip after driving 7 hours.

Check in was a mess. Could not find the office and got a key to a room with someone in it. The towels didn't look washed. No chain on the door for security. Carpet was sticky. The TV didn't work.

The guy lied about the incidental fee over the phone then charged me more when I arrived. He also charged me $30 for a towel he swears I stole but we had only 1 towel.

I tried checking in at 3:00. The Manager said room wasn't ready yet, should be about an hour late. I called 1 hour later and he said the system was down. I called after 3 hours and he said the system was still down but not to get a new hotel and that they were open 24 hours. I returned to the hotel at 10 pm and a different manager said that the room had been canceled due to the amount paid being less than other guests. He also mentioned that this happens all the time. As this was a game day in Lincoln there were no other hotels available within 20 miles. This was not a one-off problem, multiple other guests had this same treatment. Do not stay here!!!

The office was dirty with an overwhelming smell of cooked food (curry). I was given a check-in sheet to read and sign. As I was reading it, one of the office personnel keep rudely telling me to sign it. They have a $10 deposit fee for the key. They asked me several times what time I planned to check out. I gave the clerk 2 five dollar bills as a deposit for the key. When I returned the key, he gave me a five dollar bill, 12 quarters and a pile of pennies , nickels and dimes . He didn't even bother to count the money. I took the $5 and the quarters. I told him that he owed me $2. He gave me a $1 bill and 10 dimes . This was the worst hotel I have ever used through Hotels.com.

Water in the corner of the bathroom floor, non working tv remote, tried charging me a second time after Expedia already took payment and then claimed he needed a $50 cash deposit Id get back when I check out. Person in room next me was banging doors, tried getting into my car & started screaming at 2 a.m. All the owner could say was "thank you sir" before I finished telling him the issues. A nice motel to stay at for husker games or before camping.

Not a great room but it got the job done. The breakfast was pathetic

There was an extra $50 extra fee. And the room was not very clean. There was not breakfast as advertised.
