Check in was fine, but as soon as I got to the room, I found visible dirt and hairs on the top of the toilet tank. The rest of the room was clean, but it took FOUR outlets before I found one that would hold up the plug to charge any of my devices! That was the biggest problem. Bed was comfortable. No hot tub, the clerk said it was "covered up years ago."

I like the staff, they were great. Breakfast was excellent. I have been familiar with this hotel for 30 years. It was amazing in its heyday. They have updated the entry part of the property, but the rest needs it too. I come here every year because my son's team wants to stay here. It has a nice open space where 30 of us can gather near the pool area. It's cold, but the kids must like the pool ok because they spend a lot of time there. It's nice and shallow for the littles. If they had a large hot tub, that would bring it to my good graces. It's in a decent area on the edge of town.

whole place needs an updated . pool area so dark and dingy. need to update outlets in rooms. bathroom outlets didnt work. had limited options to charge phones. layout of hotel is odd and confusing. great breakfast but lets replace those toasters already. and no dogs should be allowed in the breakfast room. the attached mexican restaurant is a plus and good food. rates on our room a bit high. overall it was just ok for one night.

Check in was so easy! The front desk staff was awesome letting us know what to expect during our stay. The room was VERY clean and while it could use some updating the only thing I ever care about is if I can walk around barefoot in the room and if my kids can crawl on the floor. Yes to both is always a win. Breakfast was great. The pool has the potential to be something really special and had a 2 ft area where my toddler was able to stand. 10/10 for this place and the wonderful staff.

The room was very dirty, dust all over in the vents and on the headboards, there was a hole in the wall. The TV had vertical lines going through it and needed replaced. The bed was very noisy just sitting on it. There was water damage on the ceiling in the shower. There was a hole in the wall wall, and the room smelled horrible.

My carpeted floor was wet the entire stay. I had to walk with shoes on the whole time. My toilet seat was loose, it barely flushed. There were water stains in the ceiling in the bathroom. And my mini fridge was DIRTY. There was a brown spillage that was stuck all over the botto of the fridge.

Room had trash in it still, had a waterbottle under the bed, had a jerkey stick under the couch. We were told the beds were queen size they were only full. O yeah did i mention they check someone else into our room at 3 am. Who then proceeded to come to the room and slam the door in an attempt to open it multiple times. Woke my entire family up. Positives were the mexican restruant was very good and their breakfast in the morning was pretty decent. Wont stay there again simply due to them basically allowing someone to nearly come into my room if it wernt for the extra lock on the door i would have been going to jail for beating up some intruder in the middle of the night.

I was very happy with the cleanliness of the room! I smelled fresh fragrance of a hint of bleach and shiny tiles on the floor indicating a clean floor. The air conditioning was very good. My room had 4 pillows on each bed which I use to prop my head for relaxation & a little TV watching. The room was especially safe for my handicapped husband as I had requested. The towels were adequately stocked for our 3day & 2 night stay. We love the fact of having a restaurant at the motel for easy meals. Breakfast in the morning & Great Coffee keeps us coming back. We will always stay here when we take time to visit family. Familiar faces at the Crossroads in Fort Dodge make this a special place to stay. Thank you for a clean room & stocked supplies in the room.

When I was checking in the staff was very friendly and helpful. It's a very nice set up they have & rooms were clean and look nice. My only complaint would be my wifi was not very strong and on a work trip that was a bit problematic but there were a lot of other guests so that might've contributed to it. Overall though an enjoyable stay!

This is a hidden gem. Beds were comfortable, rooms were nice. The pool area is enclosed in the center of the hotel & very nice. Mexican restaurant on-site was very good. Only issue was the a/c units didn’t seem to really circulate throughout the rooms & so we did have to buy a fan to get the room to a comfy temp.

I reserved a cabin through Expedia. This is the second time I have visited the property and was told the roof had caved in on some of the cabins and it was under construction. When I arrived, the cabins were not under construction. But, construction workers were staying there. I felt lied to. We won't go back.

When we checked in on Thursday, June 1st, we were provided wriat bands for the children. Nothing waa said about the pool being closed. My husband and 6 year old went to swim and all the gates were locked on Friday. It was then told to us the pool was closed THE ENTIRE weekend. We got a POOLSIDE room. We should have been informed about this when we checked in. We changes hotels and were only charged 1 night

Staff is extremely accommodating especially for babies. I stay at the Crossroads hotel and event center every other month for the past several months now to spend time with grand baby and they are extremely helpful and accommodating. Im very greatful for their stuff they go above and beyond their duties.

Mold on bathroom door, additional safety lock was broke, we reserved 2 months in advanced for 2 cabins. Got there, none available so got 2 regular rooms and still charged for same price as cabin suites!

AC smelled like urine when running in cabin suite. The desk clerk tried to enter our room at 10:30 pm for no reason without knocking and no idea why and scared us to death. The breakfast was quite good but didn’t make up for the smell and the weird wake up call barging into our room at almost 11:00 pm without knocking.

Best bathroom lighting!!! I can see to put in my makeup…so many motels have lousy lighting. Great staff…a better lit frontage road coming in would help. I’d stay here again.

It’s an average motel/hotel. Nothing special. Breakfast looked awful. I couldn’t even get myself to try it. The bed was lumpy but for the cost it was what it was. I’ll pay more and stay elsewhere.

Our room had been updated and was very nice. The bed was very comfortable! And breakfast was great! Lots of extra touches we haven’t seen since Covid, like bowls of raisins for your oatmeal. Omelette and sausage, pancakes, and cheesy hash browns. Blueberries and strawberries for your pancakes!! Would definitely stay here again!
