Toby's Resort is a good place to stay near the airport, convenient to the beach and also a tennis club. The restaurant had friendly service and was clean. Breakfast started at 7:30am. Our room was clean, with a good AC and nice hot water pressure. The sheets were a soft cotton and the bed was comfortable. I enjoyed the waterfall pool (and there is a another pool on property). Perhaps the only thing missing from the room was an electric teakettle with coffee/tea service.

There is limited parking, but they have a shuttle to take you back-and-forth from the airport so that’s good. The staff is friendly. Honestly, Mike is the best thing that ever happened to that place. Woke up to an ant colony in my room and Mike was quick to jump on it and get it cleaned up. He’s also the bartender and waiter in the restaurant. All around Mr. fix it.

Reception was helpful at checkin. Hotel is not far from MBJ airport, but airport taxis are expensive (in US$). Hotel is good for a 3* with 2 small pools, several loungers, and towels which are available from reception (signed to your room). Toby’s Cafe serves good food - breakfast, lunch and dinner, with Jamaican and Western options. Prices are fair. Our 2 issues were (1) the noise - the DJ at the larger of the 2 pools is active until quite late, after which the animals behind the hotel make noise through the night - take ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper! And (2) there’s no hot water in the room’s shower in the evenings … it seems that it’s used up by people showering during the day.

Always a great place for a short stay when coming and going from across the island. Pool is great & bartender has a great vibe. Good rooms & overall staff make it a wonderful stay! Everyone was so great from the night security, front desk, housekeepers etc!

The staff were really kind and the room was spotless accept for the ants! We had an infestation when we woke up this morning. Pool wasn’t as clean but the water temperature was just right. One night stay only, was suffice.

I had a pleasant stay at Toby's. My room was large and it had a lovely large shower. The grounds were well maintained and picturesque. Good location, close to the airport and walking distance to the beach and a plant nursery, among other places. Check-in was quick, and the staff was pleasant. My only problem was that I requested shuttle service from the airport due to my late arrival. I had email confirmation instructing me to wait at column F for the shuttle. The shuttle never came, I had to take a random taxi at night, a situation which I was trying to avoid due to safety reasons. When I was checking in and queried this at reception, the receptionist wasn't aware that I was meant to be collected by the shuttle. I hope there will be better communication in the future so other guests won't experience the ghost shuttle service. Apart from the shuttle service I would recommend staying here👌

The staff is the best part of Toby’s Resort : lovely, friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The restaurant has very good local food at reasonable prices. The hotel itself is dated and rundown, but the staff keeps it very clean. Linens are nice and everything in our room worked well. It’s quite noisy due to street traffic and music blasting from the neighborhood and we had an outside light shining into our room all night because the curtains are so sheer so not great for a restful sleep. We also had to keep the AC on all night which we prefer not to do as there are no screens on the veranda doors and our room (#54) and that end of the building was baking hot. We felt very safe at Toby’s:)

A great value hotel. Very close to airport and shopping opportunities on the main Hip Strip road which starts just 2 minutes from the hotel! Friendly staff. I wasn't impressed with the omelette and bacon breakfast, but there are plentiful breakfast options just a few minutes from the hotel. I was located in a deluxe room on the ground floor and the one complaint I would share is that the water pressure in the shower is appalling! I have seen this in other reviews too...surely this can be looked into? Overall though, I would definitely stay here next time I am in Jamaica. It has everything I needed for an enjoyable and relaxing trip

We stayed here one night only because we had a flight out from MoBay the next morning. Location is decent and Its within minutes of the airport. If you are looking for a low cost room with a bed to sleep in then this will work, but dont expect much else. Access to the hotel is not secure....anyone from outside the property can walk the grounds of the hotel and also walk the halls between the rooms. No coffee machine in the room, no refrigerator, no microwave, no continental breakfast etc. They do have a pool and a little bar\resturant shack beside the pool. The mattresses on the beds are cheap and the biggest bed they have is a queen size. When we first got to our room the AC was off, the tv was unplugged, the refigerator was unplugged. Guess they are trying to save money or something. For some reason our room had a fridge, but our friends room did not, and when i asked about it they said you had to purchase an upgraded room to get a refridgerator....couldnt explain why my room had one. They had a cop hanging around the pool area. Not sure if that was intentional or coincidence.

Toby’s is acquaint hotel. It’s within walking distance to Sunset Beach, has a nice pool, and a small Restaurant. The rooms have a nice patio or balcony, with seating and a table for two. The room is comfortable, however, the beds are a full size bed, and not a queen or king. The picture online is deceiving because the headboard is the size of a king size bed, but the bed is only a full size bed with the end tables on both ends. The bed is a little too firm, it’s not a very comfortable sleep. There was also a little problem with ants in the unit.

The first day I arrive the television and the air condition wasn’t working properly. It took them a whole 24 hours and a room change for it to be resolved, and I was only there from Thursday to Saturday. For the most part, my vacation for the length of time I was there was nice because of my company. The staff at the front desk was very rude. The cleaning staff and and the maintenance gentleman were awesome.

rooms have been upgraded. the bed felt so luxurious. i seriously considered staying an extra night because the bed was so wonderful. front desk staff warm and welcoming, Tamara and Carlene; the pool bartender,Michael, is very kind. i saw him go over and above the call of duty to assist a very demanding customer, always with a smile. Restaurant servers, food is good, and deserves 5 stars for quick service, something i wish more JA restaurants took notice of. Toni, excellent server/ Orlando was helpful. Michael in maintenance was very kind and patient helping me with my TV.

At check in the receptionist was very pleasant and had good conversations. But check out process can be worked on. "Not you are all set", as a guest we want to hear safe travel and we hope you return soon. Say a good farewell. Overall the service was very good. We were able to relax and enjoy.

Horrible housekeeper. Jer name was Natasha ..she was argunwntatuve and intimidsting. A very bad person for hotel guest. The front desk staff on evening shift was also not very pleasant. This was my worst stay in a hotel in 30 years.

Stayed for one night and the team where very accommodating, we asked if something could be prepared fot us to eat on arrival as we would be coming from a 10 hor flight and arriving once the restaurant closed and they prepared us a lovely book dinner that was warmed and bought to us. I want to thank Tony, Kedine and all the team for making our onward journey so easy definitely would recommend Toby Resort to others

Overall, it was great experience, however, the property needs a few touch ups and Toby resort restaurant’s customer service could be more attentive. When I first arrived, they told me they didn’t see my Most of the time, I went to the restaurant I have to get the attention of the staff just to make an order and some couldn’t remember my order. There were a few stand out staff members, Toni Ann and Unique and some other dining staff is more lackluster. As well when I arrive they couldn’t find my reservation that I booked 1-2 months ago. Overall, I’ll give it 7.5/10.

The location was great. It is near the beach and shopping. I encountered a few homeless people asking for money. The area is high-traffic and just minutes away from the airport. My room was near the pool and sidewalk leading from the check-in area, so that was noisy as well, late at night and early mornings. The Staff was great. The food on the property was awesome. When i first arrived to the resort reminded me of a Motel 6 . Over all the Resort property was clean.

Its top end budget. I mean that in the best way. No frills but clean and safe. Restaurant on site. The grounds are well kept and probably my favorite part (pool on site). The location is conveniently located where you can grab a taxi. Its not even 10 min from the airport. And the location allows you to walk the strip without needing a ride. The beach is maybe 5-10 mins walking.

Toby's Resort is very conveniently located and reasonably priced, with eay walking to Doctor's Cave Beach and some restaurants, and only half a mile to the airport. The rooms are clean, the bed was very comfortable, and staff are very friendly and helpful. If you are staying a while in Montego Bay, keep on mind that this Resort dies not have access to a private beach and is on a very busy traffic corner, so there is constant background noise. Nevertheless, this place worked out perfect for a single overnight, with quick access to fun places while not being very expensive.

Ive stayed here twice!!! Excellent location and easy check in. They accommodated my requests . They have a restaurant on site and offer room service. I have to say i came back the second time for the breakfast saltfish fritters!!! I will stay again and again. Reasonable rate!

First off, the staff of this hotel were among the best I've ever interacted with. They did everything possible to make my stay feel comfortable. The location was very convenient, walking distance to several shops and restaurants, and also a short drive to the airport. The restaurant on site had fantastic and authe mntic Jamaican food, and was reasonably priced. The room, for the price, had fantastic air conditioning and the bed was very comfortable. They also had a convenient shuttle to take me to the airport. It is not a fancy resort, so the condition was not amazing but nothing unsafe or super-unsightly. There was a cockroach in the room, so that didn't sit right with me. The shower was weak pressure and could have used an upgrade. All said, I would stay again for 1 night as a transit stop. Not for long term unless you're on a tight budget.

I liked the pool with the bar but the other one didn’t have the water fall on. The service was good but they never had the correct covers for the drinks, the atm was spotty and sometimes they don’t have Jamaican change.

Kind of dated, tv didn’t work but overall ok location. We walked around a bit and didn’t feel unsafe. Pool area was nice. Restaurant service was slow, but probably their vibe.
