The Trail Hotel

Bed linens needed to be changed when we arrived due to finding hairs in the sheets. Room refrigerator light (with glass door) started flashing and had to be unplugged so we could sleep.

Clean room, staff very accommodating

Excellent from the minute I checked in! We had dinner and drinks at the bar. It was delicious and the drinks were spot on! The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I love the outdoor seating outside each room. I wish we had stayed longer to enjoy the other fun things the hotel has to offer. Including a speakeasy! We definitely will be back!!

Loved this hotel (motel technically, with outside door entrances but inside a secured gated area ). It’s a highly remodeled former holiday inn, but don’t let that deter you. This is the definition of a boutique hotel. I loved the decor, the amenities, the friendly staff. I wish I could have stayed longer than one night since I would have taken advantage of the pool area, and more. The only (slight) drawback is, since the rooms have outdoor entrances the noise of the outside was much more prominent. However once I went to bed and had my earplugs in, which I use 100% of the time anyway, plus had the fan on, I didn’t not hear any noise at all overnight. I highly recommend this gem of a hotel. I will definitely be back!

Everything was excellent about this trip except for the dining room. Breakfast was poor. Five dollar charge for toast with breakfast for one slice of unbuttered burnt toast! Because of the poor breakfast, we switched our dinner reservations to somewhere else. The facilities were excellent, however. We loved the hot tub. The speakeasy was a lot of fun with excellent drinks! We would definitely stay here again, but would not eat unless things improve significantly. People in the hot tub said the same thing about the dining room.
