The hotel is very pretty and updated. Having a heated pool and hot tube open all year is a plus. The other amenities are an additional cost. What I was disappointed in was the size of the rooms, the heat ac are very loud, if your room is faces the expressway you hear the traffic and the room needed a detailed cleaning. Which is disappointing since their price point is about $80 or so more a night compared to other local hotels in the area.

New property so everything looked great. Front Desk staff amazing, housekeeping didn't vacuum. No ice machines they provided bags of ice which left us trying to find places to keep ice. Pool area very nice but No bartender at pool bar the entire weekend. Restaurant food was over cooked.

Beautiful newly developed property. Lots of neat amenities like a golf simulator, rejuvenation room, speakeasy, bar and restaurant. Our only complaint would be the lack of shade on the patio side of the property. The sun was blinding when we tried to enjoy the patio in the late afternoon.

Very nice renovation, clean and great accommodations. Not much immediately nearby but Bardstown is only 10 min away. Service at restaurant was pretty slow. Food at restaurant has potential but could use a little improvement. Hotel was full but pool side bar wasn’t open on Friday or Saturday night. Shuttle limited to groups only.

The hotel is in a great location and perfectly decorated for the Bourbon trail. The staff was very nice, we especially liked Taylor, she was a great bartender! The restaurant was good the drinks were great and the pool area was beautiful. I will absolutely recommend this hotel.

The Trail has a lot of potential, and should grow into a wonderful space. We had one hiccup at checkin, and were told the incorrect room number, but that was fixed quickly. The lobby/lounge/bar/restaurant area is lovely, well appointed, but unfortunately they’re trying some sort of “signature smell” air freshener that made it unpleasant to stay in the lounge area. The rooms were nice, with fully renovated and spacious bathrooms. Really nice linens, but no place to hang them when not in use. No toilet lid on toilet, no exhaust fan in bathroom. The HVAC in the rooms is really, really loud. The pool area was VERY nice, lots of upgrades and a giant hottub. The outdoor patio areas were also nice. Every single thing other than your room and the pool is an extra charge. No free coffee in the morning. Want to check out the speakeasy? $15. The golf simulator, extra charge. I think over time as this “resort” evolves their approach will as well. Great potential.

The stay and property was amazing. A couple points to consider although not very big deals but something to look into...we did not have a do not disturb sign for the door and some areas in the room where not visible were very dusty. It was a very unique property with the perfect Bourbon lounge feel. We were there on a Monday…. Would like to try it again during the weekend when we could check out the speak easy and golf simulator. The steakhouse restaurant was mediocre, but okay. My only complaint was how stale and musty our room was. It smelled awful and just gave me the feel of being in a old motel- not the decor, but the smell. I’m sure with the humidity in Kentucky it was out of their control. I will say, the main lobby smelled AMAZING

This hotel has been in operation for a few months - it has a nice atmosphere, clean, easy access and friendly staff. Still some growing pains - service was friendly but a little slow - food was excellent All rooms open to the outside - not completely dark with some outside lighting - our air conditioner was loud. Room was clean and well maintained I am sure things will improve get though the next few months

Was double charged on checkout. Had no blackout curtains in our room and lights shown right through. Shower didn’t drain very well. Restaurant was overwhelmed and half of my food was fresh and other half had been played mad was like warm. For the price it should have been exponentially better. As of now they are in desperate need of getting it together.

I’m not a fan of “motel” style hotels. I’m still not, but it’s the best option in Bardstown. Nice pool, beautiful lobby, and the food in the restaurant needed more seasoning. The cleaning staff were very friendly and this was refreshing.

Very friendly staff, always made you feel welcome. Great bourbon centric atmosphere. We arranged a tour through the Bourbon Butler, she was very helpful and quickly arranged a tour of 3 different distilleries and drove us to the distilleries. I would have liked to have seen more variety on the dinner menu the options were limited. Overall, the hotel was definitely a great place to stay nice rooms with some fun amenities. I would definitely book this hotel again!

The property was in a great, central location to many of the local attractions. However, since they are so new, they lacked the room amenities such as brochures for the area attractions and local restaurants, plus what the hotel itself offers (restaurant menus, room service offering, ice machines, and spa offerings). Plus the suite kitchen was not stocked with any paper products. Other than these things, we really did enjoy our stay.

This is a fantastic property. The golf simulator room was amazing and very reasonably priced. Food at the restaurant was excellent. The gift shop is very nice as well. The speak easy is a must for the bourbon lover to find rare and old bourbons.
