I had flight delays and arrived at the Norfolk airport just before 1 AM. When I called for my shuttle, they told me that the shuttle service stopped at midnight. There is no mention of this on the online booking websites. Many people had weather problems that night, and I’m sure it often happens. People should be told in advance that there is no service after midnight. I was fortunate, and that I kindly driver for another hotel gave me a ride to the Hampton.

Property was clean, professional, and cozy. They provide a free shuttle service to and from the airport. They had a hot breakfast in the morning, as well as an indoor heated pool and workout room. Excellent stay!

We were greeted by a very friendly front desk clerk and told us about all the hotel amenities. We swam in the clean pool room and had a nice exercise room. In the morning the shuttle service was ready to take us to the airport at 5:00am and there were complimentary breakfast bags since we left before the continental breakfast. We were visiting family and will be staying here again!

Everyone on staff was great, helpful and courteous, the room and bed were very comfortable. We chose this location because it’s close to the airport and we had a very early flight. We were depending on the shuttle service to get us there in time. We did get there on time the next day, but on arrival their shuttle driver left us standing in 95 degree humidity, waiting and waiting and waiting. Repeated calls were made and each time we were told “He’s coming.” It’s a 5 minute drive from the property and we waited in the sun for nearly one full hour. What’s up with that? Don’t stay here if you are depending on the airport shuttle, you may be ignored.

The hotel’s public areas were okay. We arrived on Friday and departed on Monday. Our room was fine when we arrived. There was a sticker on the bathroom mirror stating housekeeping would only service the room every other day. Tacky given what we were paying for the room but okay (would have been nice to know that before booking). So we stayed 3 nights and housekeeping never showed up even once. Unacceptable! Damp towels and wet wash cloths everywhere, overflowing trash cans, unmade bed for days. No thank you. We spent our days visiting family and it was too late when we returned to call for service. Short answer: we won’t stay there again or recommend this hotel to anyone else. They need to do better.

We especially liked the location that was a few minutes from the airport. The complimentary bottles of water and snacks for Hilton Honors members were appreciated. The breakfast fare was acceptable. Having stayed there in previous years, we were somewhat disappointed: 1) that the handle that operated the shower was so tight we had to request assistance. While waiting for maintenance to arrive, a member of the housekeeping staff actually came in fix the problem; 2) no housekeeping service was provided during our stay (a total of 3 nights by 3 separate reservations). We will look at other hotels before we stay there again.

The first night was wonderfully quiet and peaceful. The second night, another guest left their poor dog alone in the room, continued to bark for long time. I called front desk who took care of it. About 30 minutes later the barking stopped, assume the owners were told to return. Another guest was making very loud noises for awhile. I loved my room. The only downfall was a blue night light under outlet next to bathroom sink. It was So Bright and refected on the mirrored closet doors. I had to pull the blanket over my eyes. There was no way to cover the light. The whole left side of the room was lite up. I checked out 11/30, still have not received an email to confirm what I paid for my 2 night stay. Unless they are waiting for the complete charge to process through my bank. On the whole, I love this Hampton Inn, and will stay again when I return to Norfolk. Thank you!

Overall average hotel. Good part - excellent service, breakfast. Beds were average comfy. Not so good part - Very outdated , wall papers starting to rip, carpet smells musty. Very low light in room even with all lights on. Not worth the price. Will find other options next time.

Hotel was nice and updated . The room was very spacious however the bed was very uncomfortable, it was hard and there was an automatic night light in the room that shined right in my face making it hard to sleep. I finally found a way to cover it up as it was built into the wall socket . Shower water didn’t get real hot . Other than those annoying things it’s a very nice room . Airport shuttle driver was a little rambunctious drove quite fast !

The building is right on the highway and my room was on the highway side. The truck noise was terrible throughout the night. For dinner, the only place to eat is at the Double Tree, barely walking distance. The food was excellent there.

This Hampton Inn is a bit shabby - not as bright and inviting inside or out as I am used to for the Hampton Inn price tag. That being said, our room was very clean, the beds comfortable, and the staff was helpful and friendly. My granddaughter loved the indoor pool. The breakfast was great and the coffee was actually good! It's like the staff is working the best they can with what they've got. The Hilton folks need to spend some money of the site.

Property is in close proximity to the airport. Staff friendly and Clean facilities and room. Only problem Is the A/C was noisy and cycles off and on when either to warm or to Cold. Was uncomfortable to sleep very long and was up throughout the night.

We have stayed at this property many times over several years. The location is convenient to where we visit in the area. Over the years the level of service has slowly eroded. Our most recent check-in was less than impressive. No one at the front desk had to wait about 5 minutes for someone to show up. There was no sign or notice posted at the front desk. Once the desk clerk showed up, the greetimg was less than cordial and very uninviting. I guess I'm a little bit overly critical as I managed hotel properties for many years. Hampton Inns have a wonderful reputation and they deserve it. This property is top notch in every way and we will continue to stay here. They need to address issues with staffing and guest satisfaction. The morning desk clerk remembered my wife's name and greeted her warmly. Thankfully I'm retired now and don't have to fight to hire the right employees.

I chose this property because it had a shuttle. I called several days in advance to let them know that my plane would be arriving at 11:40 p.m. The last shuttle was midnight and I wanted to know if they would work with me. I was told to call as soon as the plane landed. I called before boarding my connecting flight in Atlanta at 10 p.m...again, to make sure the shuttle driver was aware. I called when the plane landed in Norfolk. I was instructed to go to the pick up spot. It was 11:50 p.m. I waited. No shuttle arrived. I called the hotel and listened on the phone as the desk clerk called the shuttle. The calls went to voice mail. I ended up paying $16 for a cab to get to the hotel. I was disappointed, to say the least. They offered to comp me the cost of the cab on my bill . But because the reservations came through a third party, they could not.

The hotel is conveniently located off the highway. The hotel seems a bit older but the room was comfortable. There was no working nightlight in the bathroom which made making a trip to the bathroom during the night a bit challenging. There is no restaurant in the hotel but there is one in the hotel next door which was easily walkable. Breakfast was included.

Stayed for two nights for a family function. Tha airport shuttle service was a huge plus. Coffee and tea is readily available by the front desk. The hotel is very clean. Thy offer hot breakfast which was good. There was a variety of options and the area was clean. There was a worker monitoring in the area. The bed was a little too hard for me but my family was ok. The shower pressure was great. I will definitely stay here again. The lady that does the night shift was a Gem.

The hotel is close to shopping and restaurants. The rooms are clean and roomy. The staff is friendly and helpful. The free breakfast is not the best but it's convenient and there are several options. It's better than a lot of other hotels that just have donuts and coffee. I like the all day coffee and tea bar also. I wish there was some non dairy milk and yogurt. There are enough charging stations in the rooms and I like there's enough towel racks and counter space in the bathroom.. Some of the rooms could use a little updating.

One handicapped parking space, at one end of the hotel? They're kidding right? If your room was at the other end it's a LONG walk. There's 6 "Diamond" spaces. Go figure. Guess marketing won. Lobby men's room toilet plugged and overflowing. Peeling paper and dead bugs in the bathroom. Only one chair in a double queen room. Coffee served up grounds. Breakfast marginal. It's a tired 1980s hotel. Without any dining nearby. Avoid.

We stayed there because our flight was cancelled it was close and there is a shuttle service room was of a big size with king size bed . Bed is a bit stiff for us . Didn t taste the breakfast our flight was too early but no bar no restaurant and they do not sell any alcool that was a minus
