I wanted to use their free shuttle from the airport (supposed to run every 30 min). After waiting for 50 min I called hotel, but nobody answered. I tried 2 more times, nobody picked up. We had to take Lyft. In the hotel, the receptionist was very rude and kept telling me that shuttle runs every 30 min, though I told her it didn't come at all. The breakfast looked like the cheapest motel breakfast. And on top of it, a rude woman in charge. The room, while not bad, has dirty old carpets. In the morning we needed the ride back to the airport, but the new receptionist was no better. She wouldn't give a time for the shuttle except that it will be there in a few minutes. The staff is unfriendly and unhelpful. Will never stay there again

My main issue is the airport shuttle. Sitting at the airport for over an hour just waiting!! And when I called was told it was an accident. Sorry, but if so why weren’t any of the other shuttles impacted. No discount given… sorry but it was a major MAJOR inconvenience!! But hotel is very nice, walking distance to the mall

We booked and paid online, but upon check-in, we were unexpectedly asked to provide a $250 deposit — something we’ve never encountered before. Typically, deposits are only $100 in our experience. Additionally, we felt misled by the listing, which advertised that the property had a pool. There was even a photo of it. However, when we asked the front desk, we were told outright that there was no pool, with no explanation provided. We chose this hotel specifically to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, as she wanted to go swimming. Because of the misleading advertisement, we had to leave and check into another hotel with a pool instead. It was a frustrating and disappointing experience — a complete waste of money. To make matters worse, the bathroom in our room was not functioning properly. We requested to be moved to another room, but instead of accommodating our request, they simply sent maintenance staff. This was highly inconvenient for us. Although the issue was temporarily resolved, the bathroom began acting up again shortly afterward. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations, and we will not be returning.

Great staff and super friendly service. Rooms are clean and spacious. The issues I had was with the shuttle. On the arrival everyone waited for more than hour, eventually taking a shuttle for a different hotel. On my way to the airport at 5:30 the shuttle was full, which means you have to wait for another one or order an Uber.

We have stayed at this hotel several times a year for the past four years. We choose this hotel because of the 24 hour shuttle service. This service has definitely gone downhill. Upon arrival, we waited an hour for the shuttle which is advertised as picking up at the airport every 30 minutes. We chalked it up to being lunchtime. The following day, I needed to go to the airport to meet my daughter, a minor who was flying into Newark unaccompanied. Knowing the shuttle was scheduled to go to the airport every 30 minutes, departing the hotel a quarter past and a quarter to the hour, at 8pm I asked the front desk to confirm that there would be an 8:45pm shuttle. They assured me there would be. At the appropriate time I went to wait for the shuttle. It did not arrive nor was it displayed on the shuttle tracking app. Once again, I asked the same person at the front desk on the status and was informed that the driver was on break! And the next shuttle would not go for an hour! I was then told to go across the street to The Embassy Hotel and use their shuttle as theirs was leaving in 15 minutes. No apology, nothing. I did use the shuttle at The Embassy, and gave the driver a generous tip. And where will I be staying when I return to Newark next week? You guessed it, The Embassy!

I wish I had listened to the reviews. No hot water after 7 am. Because of the hotel was full. Unacceptable. I have stayed at plenty of full hotels. Never had hot water issues ever. No housekeeping at all. When I asked the front desk she rolled her eyes and didn't even care. The grounds are filthy garbage overflowing. The room smelled of sewage. The only bright spot of our stay was the bartender who really cared and was very apologetic. By far the worse experience I've ever experienced.

The websites states shuttle every 30 minutes, I called at 30 minutes to see if I had to call, and they said it just comes on a loop, at 50 minutes I just called an uber, got to the hotel at the hour mark, and the shuttle was still there, the bathroom wad dirty and had hair, wouldn’t recommend

Rooms should be cleaned one over the next day according a sticker on the mirror. Our room wasn't cleaned at all. We took the towels away, we organized bathroom tissue at the frontdesk. Sorry, that's uncomfortable.

A good place to stay close to the airport. Shuttle worked well and on time. A little hiccup at check in as I booked and pre-paid the room at the time of the booking which was a few months ago but staff said it wasn’t so I had to look up credit card statement which took a while since I didn’t remember exactly which month this transaction occurred. Room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was simple and limited but sufficient enough. Though when you don’t have too many choices for breakfast you should make sure that it’s plenty. They ran out of muffins which would have been nice to have with my coffee. Overall, good simple place to stay and reasonable price.

Rooms are outdated, beds are worn out, there is no way to bring fresh air to the room because windows don't open even a bit, except AC, which is just cooling it and not circulating from outside. Probably because of worn out carpets, there is some not so "fresh" air in the room. Bathrooms seemed to be updated recently. Next criticism goes against hotels.com. I searched for a room for 3 adults and 8 y/o child, which gave me an option of a suite, which had a king bed and small sofa bed. When we came to room, the room was obviously too small to fit all of us, including luggage. We asked at reception if there is a way to get a bigger room and they upgraded us to a bigger room 2x queen + sofa bed, which was much better and we didn't have to pay additional. Thanks to the kind receptionist (sorry forgot the name).

I loved the price and amenities of the property. The hotel was well kept and decorated, staff very friendly and bed super comfy. The downside was, I had a very early flight and was placed in the room directly next to the elevator. I had absolutely zero sleep that night as I listen to the elevator ding and people talk all night long. On top of that every 5 to 10 minutes the toilet would make a very loud sound. So I give it way less of a rating because I paid Money to get a good nights sleep before an early flight and had zero sleep.

The hotel is very nice and clean, still brand new. It's located right by a mall and directly under flight paths for planes taking off. The AC in my room did not work correctly, but the beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. My only complaint would be my room location, it was right beside the elevators so I heard them all night (ear plugs are a must!). Plenty of parking! Staff was not friendly, I know there were a lot of issues happening when I was waiting for service (no internet, people waiting for the bus shuttle, etc.), but they're the face of the hotel and I did not feel welcomed. However, I would stay again.

The room is great, really big, clean, with great amenities. There's a nice bar area for drinks and snacks. Unfortunately the woman who checked us in was completely disinterested and not at all friendly. Not an amazing welcome on our first day in New York. Also the bike, cross trainer and some of the weights machines didn't work in the gym

We appreciated the early check in and late check out, as well as the shuttles to the airport and Cape Liberty. We enjoyed the welcoming and comfortable environment of the lobby area. We found the hotel computers to be lacking and the WiFi to be weak. We stayed twice, a week apart 🙂

The employee that checked us in was nothing short of rude. She gave no instructions on where to park or how to get to our room. I stood at the desk for a good 3 minutes before she even looked up from her phone. Horrible customer service. As someone who works in this industry, there is absolutely no excuse for this type of customer service.

We had such a lovely stay at the Hilton. We arrived very late after a flight and didn’t initially notice that the TV in our room was missing. Once we did, the staff immediately offered to upgrade us. They were so kind and even gave us a room with two TVs, which was more than generous and made us feel well taken care of. The upgraded room had a little living room area, was very clean, and the whole hotel was quiet despite having lots of families around. The location is also fantastic super central, right across the street from a mall, and less than 10 minutes from the airport, which made it very convenient. All of the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely stay here again.

We like staying at this hotel but they describe themselves as an airport hotel, why did we have so much difficulty checking in after an early flight?!?! Front desk gentleman couldn’t care less initially but after much discussion, they had rooms available and finally accommodated. Not good enough. Otherwise hotel is very good, and it’s our second time staying and would consider it again

When we arrived, after more than 24 hours of travel, we were notified that the computer system is down and "Nothing we can do about it". After about 3 hours we got a room from a family that needed 2 rooms but only one could be given to them. Other people waited until 2 am for the system to operate. Ther excuse that they can do nothing was a great disappointment. They could knock on some rooms to find some empty ones. When I suggested it, the manager said that it "will be impolite". In my opinion, this is only a minor inconvenience relatively to letting people standing in the lobby for hours. Also, there are several other hotels in the area. The manager could have called and transfer the stranded guests to other facilities, even if they do not belong to Hilton. To date, I have not heard a word of apology or a suggestion for a compensation from Hilton for this terrible ordeal. We ended up sleeping less than 5 hours before we had to get to the airport again.

Hotel was clean, and had a nice appearance. Service left something to be desired. If you expect to eat breakfast, go early! We showed up an hour prior to the end of breakfast hours. No bagels, yogurt, eggs, meat, just dry cereal, oatmeal, or a waffle you have to prepare. There was a small bar/restaurant in the lobby that had a great menu but never seemed to be open. It would have been nice to control our own thermostat a bit more for sleeping, but I understand being eco friendly.

One of the two elevators was broken so it took a long time to get up to your room. The front desk manager was brisk on the verge of rude when I asked questions and she told us misinformation about our shuttle. Breakfast was minimal. No fresh fruit or yogert. No fresh water was available except for purchase not even at breakfast.

The room is comfortable and the furnishings are nice and functional. I like the shelves space under the nightstand, the built in luggage platform next to the tv. The microwave and the fridge were also very nice. The bathroom was spacious and clean. Breakfast was standard fare. Eggs, sausages, cereal, pastries, waffles were just okay.
