Oasis at Gold Spike

I enjoyed that they were within walking distance of almost everywhere I like to be. The parking kind of sucks because it's offered to the public and if the space fills up, you have to pay to park somewhere else👎. Also the pool loungers that sit inside the wading pool area need to be cleaned daily to avoid build-up. Despite that, the place was nice and cozy. I liked the amenities, and the rooms have been newly renovated. I liked the accessibility to Fremont St. The staff was amazing and always very helpful. They offer affordable breakfast items and snacks if you don't want to go anywhere, but Denny's and The Broken Yolk are literally within walking distance💖. 8/10 recommended

If you enjoy the energy of Fremont Street and you are a budget aware traveler then you should check-out The Oasis at Gold Spike. The staff was friendly, helpful and communicated well during my stay. Upon finding my room the housekeeping manager got my attention to ensure I didn’t need anything, I appreciated that. My room was clean and everything worked as it should. There is an outdoor pool which many visitors took advantage of, but it was not over crowded. This property is one block from the heart of Fremont Street Experience. Parking is free and close. It did not bother me one bit because I don’t “live” at the hotel…but there is no onsite restaurant but within a block you have many many options at all price points.

The pool was the best part about this place. Parking was horrible!! You had to park in the same area as the public. So if you didn’t get there at a good time you could be driving around for hours waiting for a spot. Or you would have to pay for parking somewhere else. Our room key didn’t work several times so we had to keep going and getting another one. And when we did it was seemed like was annoying to the staff even though it wasn’t our fault. It had one elevator with no air conditioning.

Fantastic experience as always staff was splendid and the room was clean, and the pool was fun. Always a good place to stay in Vegas.!

Great pool. Staff awesome. Can always request a late check out. Only thing that sucks is getting bavk to your room at night. You must go through the other entrance where the club is to get back to your room.

We loved the pool! The fitness center was small but had all we needed for a good workout and the air conditioner worked great. Being so close to Fremont Street was an added perk and plenty of restaurants and shops to go to. They have complimentary coffee in the lobby which was also nice. There are a lot of homeless people outside the hotel and walking around the parking garage which I did find a bit sketchy but we liked the hotel itself. We had a great stay!

I like that’s it’s off the main tourist area but within a short walking distance. I also love the pool area and the style of the rooms as well as the access to the night club and adult areas. The things I didn’t like is that there is no fridge or microwave in the room which is a big inconvenience when you have an extended stay. Also the pool was very very cold to the point nobody could swim in it or enjoy the water. Lastly this place really needs a hot tub and I think adding some of these things would greatly improve the overall rating and customer reviews

Older hotel but it’s ok. Has its charm. I would stay there again but there are some cons. A/C blows on you all night. Not a single picture on the wall. Las Vegas doesn’t recycle even cans and the hotel is no different. No fridge, no microwave, no coffee in the room. Price is decent for what you get. Staff are lovely.

Parkinglot outside the hotel for parking. Ok for a night or two. Could check in one hour earlier. They helped us to print a return label for free. Negative that the room did not have a mini fridge/freezer or a water boiler.

The rooms were adequate, But nothing outstanding, Dissappointed there was not a refrigerator! Would improve the room atmosphere to have some light colorful pictures on the walls, would be joyful and help lighten up a very dark room. The elevator felt unsafe and possibly dangerous. There is no light in it and no air circulating, even an overhead fan would help. The ice machine needs replaced, very unsightly, and uninviting to use.

Bathroom was disgusting! The toilet wasn't flushed, there were multiple hair clumps in the shower, and pee stains on the wall next to the toilet! The floor in the bedroom part was also dirty lots of crumbs and I opened the drawer and found trash! The room it self was also very hot and humid even after we turned on the air conditioning.

the room and hallway stunk very bad! The room was old and dated. The door was hanging and didn't shut without having to lift it up.

My stay at Oasis at Gold Spike was okay overall, but I was very disappointed to find a visible blood stain on the bedding when I woke up in the morning. I hadn’t noticed it when I first checked in and only saw it after sleeping there. I reported this to the front desk when I turned in my keys because it was unacceptable and made the room feel unclean. The rest of the experience was average, but this issue made the stay unpleasant and should be addressed to ensure better housekeeping and hygiene for future guests.

The pictures look great, but in reality, it’s nothing like the photos. The room had a strong musty smell the entire time. The floors felt disgusting, and I had to wear sandals the whole time because the floor tiles were separating, allowing dirt to build up between them. The shower had lots of mold, and water would drain out through the gap between the glass and the shower floor, making the floor wet next to the toilet. It was super loud; we could hear music and even a couple fighting next door, including when the cops arrived. The hotel provides earplugs, which should be a warning about the noise. The elevator was extremely old and slow, even though the building only had three floors. Overall, it was gross, but the staff provided great service. Still, I recommend looking elsewhere.

Your pictures are horrible on your website because it is such tricky! Your hotel is horrendous and disgusting. When I checked in, I hadn’t even shut the door behind me when I saw the freshly made beds with black bugs, crawling all over it.!!! how F*CKING disgusting!! YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF CHARGING SOMEBODY OVER $800 FOR THAT PIECE OF CRAP ROOM AND LOCATION.!!! I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. I literally did not even let the door closed behind me. I walked directly back downstairs and asked for a refund. You should be shut down.!!! what a disgusting absolutely horrendous hotel shame on you!!!

Staff was awesome. Room was eh okay. Found a chunk of hair on the floor. The rotating closet thing was dusty. You can see dust when you rotate it. The faucet on The sink was rusty you can smell it when you get close. The flooring between the bathroom and bed area had cracks and parts of the floor you can take off. The ac smelt funky everytime we came back to the room and it would go away after a while. The best part was the door. We literally had to push the door to get it open. The front dest knew “ it was one of the rooms that needed a kick”. We got what we paid for. They had two buildings. My friends actually stayed one night with us but stayed at the other building and had no remarks like ours had. Maybe our building was older, and it was facing the pool. Who knows. I honestly don’t mind staying here again for a night or two just cuz fremont is around the corner and maybe hope to get the other building.

Was there for an hour, and seen bed bugs on the bed, had to grab our belongings and run out. Staff was kind and refunded my stay.

Stayed on a no smoking floor and the whole floor stinks. The shower was horrible the water smelled funny my room smelled like mildew I won’t be staying here again.

The room had a bad odor. They did not have a fridge or iron in the room. The bathroom had hair all on the door. Cracks were shown through out the bathroom floor/borders, it was overall dirty. House keeping provided us with towels that were stained. Front desk was no help with complaints.

First the good: bed was very comfortable, staff was very friendly and helpful, the shower actually flowed enough water and the price was good. There is a place for a laptop, which should be standard these days but unfortunately not. However, absolutely NO frills: no closet (although plenty of hooks in the room on which to hang things), no safe, no ironing board or iron, no refrigerator - not even a soap dish in the tub/shower. The room is as basic as it gets. A/C was effective but noisy - had to turn the volume of the TV up when it came on and then reduce it when the unit went off, even on low fan speed.

The water pressure was terrible and the toilet constantly ran but other than that overall a great place to stay and a great value.

So the site stated decent ratings. We get there and it’s clearly not in a good part of town. It’s also above a night club which was not mentioned in the listing. Thankfully we were up multiple floors so the noise was not terrible. Just would’ve been good to know first. The floors weren’t swept well and the room was tiny. We were in a corner room and it was hard to get out of the door with how it was set up.

If you’re looking for a quick/affordable stay then book this hotel. Not luxury

The room was fine and the staff were excellent and polite but if you are planning to sleep at night I do not recommend you stay here. The complimentary ear plugs were the first warning. I'm sure this place would be excellent if you are coming to hit the night life in Vegas but if you just need a quick stay for a conference the next day, pick somewhere else.

When we first checked in the room had a very foul odor and the spinning closet to put clothes away was broken and almost fell on me. They moved us rooms and the second room the fan in the bathroom was extremely loud sounded broken and the tv was broken only one Chanel worked everything else said no signal . I didn’t want to be one of those people that just kept complaining so I left that alone. The motel is very close to Fremont so we heard alot of noise and sirens all night. The noise travels into the rooms very loudly. The pillows were very uncomfortable as well. It was decently cleaned but wish I wouldn’t have dealt with all the other issues. It was my first time staying off the strip in Vegas and in the downtown area and I will probably never do that again.

It was a nice hotel for the price but having to go through the bar to get to our room at night was a little annoying. Especially since the employees who would let you in seemed to have attitude about it. The air conditioner was faced away from the bed so the room was hot the whole time. The showers barely flowed. They only have one mirror. Also got different information from different employees, made it a little frustrating. Parking was a joke.

Decent room , bathroom floor tile was loose and wet underneath. Good location for Fremont Street. A bit noisy at night but that’s to be expected. The hotel did provide ear plugs! Very nice pool!

Terrible experience at The Oasis. First off, the check-in process was unbelievably slow, and the staff had an attitude like we were bothering them just by being there. To make it worse, the shower in the room didn’t even work. After a long day, the last thing you want is to deal with rude service and a broken shower. Definitely won’t be coming back.

We stayed at Oasis at Goldspike in Fremont for two nights and booked two rooms. The lobby was clean and cool, but after a certain hour, the main hotel entrance closed, forcing guests to walk through the crowded nightclub with luggage to reach their rooms. The hallways were musty with heavily stained carpets, and upon entering our rooms, one smelled strongly of cigarettes while the other smelled of wet paint. When we asked for assistance, we were told the hotel was sold out. The receptionist dismissed our concern, saying she hadn’t noticed the cigarette smell, and only offered Lysol wipes and Febreze, which did not solve the issue. The rooms felt unclean, and they did not resemble the photos advertised online—ours appeared much older. Our TV never had a working signal, and when we requested towels, none were ever delivered despite multiple calls over an hour and a half. Without a phone in the room, I had to use my personal phone to contact the front desk, and ultimately we had to dry off with small hand towels. Overall, the stay was uncomfortable, service was poor, and the accommodations did not match expectations. Unfortunately, I would not return and want to share this so others are aware that appearances can be deceiving

Loved the Oasis! Staff was very nice and accommodating. A++ hospitality! Room was very cute, modern and clean. Comfy bed! Slept so good! Perfect pool and mingling garden with games and seating.

Always a great place to stay , quick to the point access to your room, check in and check out is always quick, great staff and service, affordable prices nearby Fremont Street which is a great way to always want to book again and again , great place for a staycation if you're a local .

This location is so perfect for Fremont street. Not that far of a walk and not that close to hear all the noise. Close to so many good options. I really enjoyed the place because going in and to the room, EVERY SINGLE person was so nice. I felt safe going into my room with all the security checks they did. Everyone communicated so well to each other. The security always greeted us and wished us well when we left to explore for the day. There was so many things to do on the main floor. I’d stay here again.

It was a great place to stay. A short walk to/from Fremont Street. Place seemed safe enough. Very dated though. But great for the price.

The front desk lady was the best. She was super professional and stern at the same time. You can tell she had experience in the business. The location is great since it's a block from Fremont Street, but at the same time there is lots of shady dealings in both parking lots and surrounding areas. I felt safe but not too safe leaving my car across the street. Overall great place for the price.

Oasis can be a great spot depending on the day and time. Weekends are tight with security even when it’s light in patrons. And bar wasn’t open until 2pm which might only have been because of short handed but, still a drag not being able to drink in the morning lol.

We was told there would be breakfast there was not n when we took a shower water leak all over the floor out side of the shower almost slept on the floor

The A/C unit was incredibly loud, to the point where we thought about asking for a different room. When I informed the desk thinking they'd want to know about it, they said they already did, and proceeded to explain why it was loud. Things like that need to be replaced, not justified. It would be great if you offered coffee at the bar in the hotel building, not make your guests walk across the parking lot for it.

Staff very attentive, bartender Alexis was great. Great place to watch the games with good drink specials. Room served it’s purpose for the stay no in room iron or board but station available on 2nd floor, only mirror in room in small bathroom didn’t quite work for the lady they should have added mirrors outside of bathroom during remodel. Overall not a bad spot, nothing fancy but did exceed my expectations would stay again.

Coffee is not! They do not have half/ Half milk and sugar.

To get to the rooms you have to go through the bar - open 24/7. This is why you must be 21 to stay there. Outside there is a huge games area. If it's busy you can hear from your room. Luckily they provide you with ear plugs. Rooms were clean & beds comfortable - bathroom dated. Good location - walking distance to Fremont St. All the staff were incredible! Free tea & coffee served between 6-12pm.

Renovated hotel just one block away from Freemont Street. Totally fine for a shorter stay. No fridge or coffee maker in the room. Staff are friendly but could be more professionell (e.g Greeting at arrival, offering information about the hotel). Unfortunately complimentary coffee in the hotel lobby is only available until noon.
