If you like classic Las Vegas and don't mind a little grit and a little bit of old school, this is your place. Only a safe and a refrigerator. Room was very clean. The whole property is old but clean. If you are walking to Fremont Street, it's an easy walk.

This hotel is a good value for the money when visiting downtown Vegas. It's clean. It's decor is dated but well maintained. The amenities are limited, but you get what you pay for. If you don't plan to spend much time in the hotel it's a good choice.

When we checked in the young lady at the desk was super helpful, kind and cheerful. She gave us our room cards and we headed off to drop off our luggage. As we entered the floor it reeked of marijuana, as we approached our room, there were 5-6 young men squatting on the floor in front of our room smoking weed. We turned around and headed back to the desk, the clerk said this was the second complaint and called security. Our secondary room was pleasant, a little worn but well kept. The fridge, TV and faucets all worked, the bed was comfortable. The staff was always super helpful and kind. The gambling tables are in operation during the week ends, the prime rib dinner was delicious and the staff were quick to get your order. There’s a lot of homeless people in the area and you can smell a distasteful order outside. The swimming pool and gym (small) are in the next door hotel, the Californian. There is a resort fee they charge you daily.
