Our room was spacious with 2 queen beds. The room and facilities were very clean. We also enjoyed the roof top pool ( not many hotels downtown have one). The staff were all friendly. The location is super convenient to Fremont St. Parking was at the hotel, and included.

I absolutely loved this hotel! It’s very nice, but not luxury. The pool and gym are small. And there’s no security swipe on the elevator. Meaning anyone can go to any floor. But it’s cleanliness, location, and friendly staff make it a worthwhile stay in Las Vegas!

Great location,nicer than I expected. Only a block from Fremont street. Good restaurant choices int the hotel and near by. Only thing we didn't like was not enough chairs at the pool and no tables/umbrellas(for shade, my husband has cancer and needed to be in the shade)

They were working on their elevators but didn’t repair one of them during my 6 night stay. Wait time for elevator was to long and they were often overcrowded. But that is just a short term problem. Nice hotel

This hotel is very clean and has everthing you need for a short break. Location is great right next to Fremont street. $4 a bottle of bud compared to $11 a bud at Treasure Island on the rip off strip. Only down side is smoke in the casino.

Floors were dirty. Shower had hair on the floor, blinds dirty and not in working order. Some staff was friendly, other staff in the Cafe and Member desk were not friendly and or not helpful, and didn’t seem interested in helping. Injured my hand on sharp edges of the furniture, and the front desk didn’t seem to particularly care.

My sink didn't drain. Room smelled like smoke. Carpet was disgusting. There was some brown stuff stuck to the wall. The door to one of the cabinets didn't close. THEY ALLOW SMOKING IN THE CASINO DOWNSTAIRS!! I don't go to Vegas much but I can't believe that's still legal. This is the kind of place where you want to wash the remote as soon as you get there.

It’s a good hotel for the money. Just make sure you stay on top of housekeeping. They never cleaned my room even after I called on day 3. Front desk was nice and restaurants were good. Probably valet was the best part of my 5 day stay.

We liked the hotel room, but the carpet in the room needs a deep cleaning. There were a few noticeable stains that needs to be addressed. Also, we are a little superstitious about the floor that we were on, 13th floor. But all in all we did enjoy our stay.

My wife and I did a staycation to celebrate her birthday and were looking forward to a relaxing night after exploring downtown. Unfortunately, this hotel completely ruined that experience. The walls are ridiculously thin—you can hear everything happening in the hallways. Throughout the early morning, we were constantly woken up by people screaming and slamming doors. At one point, we even thought someone was trying to open our door. It was incredibly unsettling. To make things worse, the pillows were absolutely horrible—easily the worst we’ve ever had, and we’ve stayed at most of the hotels downtown. We barely got any rest at all. If you value a good night’s sleep, stay far away from this hotel.

The location in proximity to Fremont Street is great. My only two complaints/wishes is for an in room coffee maker and blackout curtains because the plantation style shutters do not block out the morning daylight or the lights from the casino.

This hotel was great. comfy beds, friendly staff, convenient location we could walk anywhere downtown we wanted, and the room was quiet despite being so close to Freemont street. The bathroom was the smallest i have ever experienced in a hotel, but we could deal with that. Would stay again. also, the cleaning staff was very friendly, and we were moved the 1st night due to air cond not working. The move was easy and appreciated!!

Would like to have option like a food court besides the Market Cafe. Room was adequate but surprised there was no clock, make-up mirror, coffee maker. Bathroom layout was too confining, hard to get in and out with the door, toilet and shower too close to each other. We had to literally squeeze in to get the door closed - imagine larger people would have extremely difficult time using the toilet/shower.

Very friendly front desk personnel, valet attendants, housekeepers, security and hotel staff. They solved problems and answered our questions seamlessly and with aloha. Dining options in the hotel were perfect for our family needs from toddler age to grandparent age. Food choices included something for everyone and in a price range from modest to more deluxe. We’ll be back!!

My HVAC unit was making a crazy loud noise. The zone valve solenoid was banging extremely loud, like smacking sheet metal with drunk sticks. I asked for maintenance and Danny showed up. Danny didn’t know I’m a facilities manager so I know alot about water source heat pumps. I left to go for a bite and when I returned Danny left a note stating it was “fixed”. What did Danny do? He shut off the water valves to the unit leaving me with no cooling and since the unit was not cooling the valve noise went away. I had to restore water to get cooling back but the noise returned. He could have wired the valve to stay open until the end of my stay but instead he just lied and said he fixed it. I had Horrible sleep because of this.

Room was great even though they gave me an upgraded room i only stayed in it to sleep. The bartender at the holo holo bar was rude and had a snippy attitude. Lastly i spoke with the lady at the desk the night before prior to checking out she told me they would be giving me my deposit back but the next day a different person said i owed theym.

I have stayed here several times for work and it is usually my top choice due to more relaxed crowds and wonderful staff. This time there were a few issues. Two of three elevators were down so it took forever to get anywhere. A female staff member or someone with a keycard entered my room at 10pm while I was sleeping in there and shocked me. When I inquired they said no women were on duty that night. It was quite alarming. The security was very considerate with listening to my complaint but not ideal.

The hotel has easy access to the freeway. Parking is free and convenient. Check-in was fast and the front desk staff was very friendly. Getting to the room from the lobby was very easy because of the elevators being real close. The room was clean and comfortable. We'll be back.

Great stay. I was looking for a nice hotel near Fremont at a great price. And this is it! I loved staying here. Very clean and excellent customer service. My air conditioning stopped working one afternoon but they fixed very fast. The guests here are also so nice and respectful. This is a perfect stay for people looking for some peace and quiet near Fremont. Getting ride share is also very easy from this hotel. I can’t recommend this place enough. Thank you!

I really love how the rooms were remodeled thoroughly. Nothing was left unfinished. Well, popcorn ceiling, but that's okay. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially the registration desk. The staff at the restaurant were pleasant as well. The surrounding area was a bit sketchy especially by the soup kitchen and homeless areas.

The rooms were good, the bed comfortable. The elevators in the parking lot were out of service for our 2 day stay, causing much confusion. We’re seniors and need the elevators. The air conditioning in most of the casino was not working well, making it very warm and stuffy. The restaurant Market Street Cafe was not good at all. The quality of the food has gone downhill. Sad because at one time we really enjoyed eating there. Maybe that’s why the restaurant was pretty empty when we went. We go 3 or 4 times a year, we keep trying hoping for improvement, but it’s steadily getting worse.

We enjoyed our stay at California Hotel & Casino. The premium king bed room was large and the bathroom was remodeled. Elevators were quick. The area was safe and a short walk to The Plaza and Fremont Street. They need more dining options and the ice cream/coffee shop needs to stay open later in the evening.

Nice downtown hotel. Rooms were surprisingly updated for an older hotel. However bathrooms were very small. Parking was easy. Close to freeway onramp so easy to get to the strip. One block off of Fremont Experience so close but quiet. Hawaiian specialty restaurant was awesome!
