Ramada by Wyndham Kenner New Orleans Airport South

We stayed here as we were flying out very early the next morning. The 24 hour shuttle was very convenient and a short ride to the airport. We left our vehicle parked at the hotel behind a secured gate for a very reasonable price. We will stay here again when flying out of NOLA. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

This was a perfectly acceptable airport hotel. The shuttle was convenient and on time, the room was clean, and the staff was friendly. This is all made better when considering it appears this property is generally significantly cheaper than other comparable properties in the area.

This was the worst property I ever booked. The listing/pictures are very misleading. This is a MOTEL, not a hotel. I was shocked immediately as I was pulling into the parking lot. Most of the cars were damaged in the parking lot, there was no lobby…I immediately wanted to cancel but was informed I couldn't get a refund. They checked me in because I was thinking where else would I find s space to sleep tonight last minute. I was then inform to go through the gate to park (which tells you everything about the property), however when beyond the gate there was damaged cars and people loitering, and it smelled like weed. There is no elevator or hallways, the rooms are accessed via outdoor stairs and room doors from the outside - a MOTEL. I went upstairs to go to the room, however it was not ready, it was still being cleaned so I waiting in front frantically searching Expedia from something else. When the room was finally ready, I entered to a strong smell attempting to mask the weed odor. It immediately made me sick so I left the room and the property. We went to try and find other accommodations. Once we finally found something last minute it was far. We called Expedia to cancel, Expedia called the hotel manager but the hotel refused to cancel and issue a refund. Even though they knew the room was unoccupied, they never cancelled it, I got a reminder notification the next morning to checkout. Do not stay here!

It was great, everyones been nice, pool was great, and everything is super clean!

Great location for easy access to airport and rental cars ! Hotel is under construction so doesn’t look its best from the outside but rooms were NEW and CLEAN which was wonderful after a long night of travel!!!!

I asked for a refund at the checkout and the guy said the room reservation was done through Hotels.com and I need to take it up with them. 4. The hotel looked like a ghetto place 5. The fitness room was stinky and filthy. 6. The pool was filthy too. There was dead leaves and hair residue floating in the pool.

The front staff were very kind during our check in. The room was recently renovated so it was very very clean. No complaints about it. I’m glad I brought my own pillow because there pillows were little bricks. Lol. They are still doing renovations so there are some construction areas to walk around, but rinsing bother us. The hotel was very quiet, even for being right next to the airport. The only minus was that the shuttle driver was very impersonal. He obviously didn’t want to be there and didn’t say two words to us. Oh well. We will definitely stay here again! Well worth the price.

Convenient to the airport, and it seems the whole place has been refurbished. the room was very clean, which I appreciate, and the breakfast was your standard hotel fare but very adequate. No real frills, but certainly good for a one or two-night stay in the New Orleans area.

The rooms themselves are actually pretty nice. The decision to not have any carpeting from a business stand point I understand, easier to care for. However, it can potentially open themselves up to litigation is somebody slips and falls after getting out of the shower. The hotels is in a disgusting area, very unsafe. There are no restaurants within walking distance so eat before you get there, or you'll have to drive back into the heart of Kenner. They have a small food market in the lobby, but unless you like frozen meals, microwave personal pizzas (which you have heat in the lobby as your rooms do not have microwaves so imagine carrying a newly microwaved pizza back to your room) chips, candy and soda. That's it, that's all you got for food options. I really did like they offered airport parking for a significanly reduced rate. I was apprehensive when he told me as again, the hotel does not sit in a nice area. But the bulk of their parking is behind a gate, only accesible with a room key so I opted in and found my car in the same condition I left it in. That's a big plus for this place.

Room 207 had a terrible smell, like an animal had urinated in the room. Let the front desk know, and we were moved to another room straight away. Newly renovated, updated rooms, but there is a terrible condensation problem, making the floors extremely wet and slippery. The air conditioning unit only had hot or cold to select. So I’m predicting there will be a mild problem in the future.The airport shuttle was a big plus, leaving on the hour, 24 hours a day.

Clean room. Asked for the floor to be mopped again. No fridge or microwave. Check in and out was easy.

We selected this hotel as it was close to the airport and we had an early morning fight. It also offered a free shuttle to the airport. The continental breakfast included was what you would expect, and nothing fancy. Disappointed the hot water was only warm it would not steep my tea bag. Our door was letting wind in and it whistled loudly. My husband had to lay down a towel under the door for it to stop. The water never got really hot in the shower. Just warm. The desk clerk when we checked in was very kind and friendly and helpful with information.

Freshly remodeled. Clean quiet

Commode leaked in room 121. Ran up under tiles & water seeped up where you walked. We thought it was going on into the sink area under the flooring. When they cleaned it they couldn’t tell it. It did the same thing our second night.

Nice staffs and very clean. Just we like to have a refrigerator.

Rooms are very nicely updated and close to the airport.

I recently stayed at this newly renovated hotel and was genuinely impressed. The rooms were beautifully updated and very comfortable, the location was incredibly convenient, and I really appreciated the safe, secure parking (I used my room key to go in and out). But what truly stood out was the staff — every single person I encountered, from check-in to check-out, was warm, helpful, and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. Even the housekeepers greeted me with a smile and wished me a good day. That kind of consistency isn't a coincidence — it speaks to great management and a strong team. I'm usually pretty picky, but I would absolutely stay here again! ( I do have to add, i did book this hotel based on other people's recommendations ... initially when I drove up I thought ... what did I get myself into ... because the building has obviously been around a while ... but it did not disappoint, and I will definitely stay here again).

Excellent service, I enjoyed my stay with my two kids. I felt safe. The rooms have been remodeled. Staff are great. Free shuttle to/from the airport. I highly recommend this hotel. Definitely will be booking with them if I go to New Orleans again. They will also have a shower cap, mouth wash if you need one too

The room was very clean and comfortable. The check in was a little time consuming and after assigning one room that was already occupied and another that didn’t have the reserved king bed, we finally got a room that was very nice.

When I first checked in to the hotel the lady at the front counter was nice and very polite she told me I would be charged a 75.00 incidental fee and it will be credited back to my account in 30 business days. I thought this was odd that they would hold my money for so long. The next day the airport shuttle driver was sleeping in the lobby and I was told by the receptionist that the shuttle would not be ready until 5:00 the shuttle driver was very rude and confrontational asked me if the bags I was handing him were mine I said yes to the four bags. As he was driving he made an announcement to all the passengers that this shuttle operates on tips and said unfortunately that’s just the way it is. One passenger confronted him about the comment he made when we arrived at the airport he said that his comment was very unprofessional and I said yes it was and I don’t appreciate being strong armed into paying you for a service that is provided by the hotel.

There are no restaurants nearby.. you must uber to places. The staff was very kind and informative and they served breakfast and a free shuttle to the airport!

Room was decently clean and a quick sleep. Not what I expected from a Ramada. Staffs directions to the room were not great. Had to walk around and find it. Four flights of stairs. But super close to the airport & great price!

Honestly, pulling up to the facility was a little scary. Outside & surrounding areas are very run down. I was by myself this trip so I was panicking a little. However, staff was very friendly & my room was surprisingly GREAT. Very clean & updated & the bed is comfortable too!

Needed a room overnight very close to the airport. Location was perfect and met my needs.

Great for quick trips into NOLA as it's very close to the airport. With that, you barely notice the incoming or outgoing flights. If you always run behind and think " We still have to turn in the rental?" , well, your right across the street from the rental return. Place was very nice for being an older property. Staff was attentive and helpful.

This property is located near the airport. The area is run down and doesn’t feel safe. The building itself is very old, but the rooms have recently been remodeled. When we arrived our room had a fire detector beep going off and the TV was messed up. After an hour, we were able to settle in. My biggest issue was the staff was not helpful or friendly. The breakfast was subpar at best and everything was always out, especially the coffee. When you asked for more, they said to check the coffee at the front desk. I went to the front desk and it was out. Also, the dispensers for the artificial sweetener were also empty. They jacked their rates up for the Super Bowl and you’d think a $131.00 per night hotel room that was $800 per night you could get some decent service and coffee.

Room was clean and quiet. Floor was a bit slippery with shoes on, but clean. The breakfast was a bit poor; eggs were cold and the protein looked boiled - gray and not edible. At least there was coffee. I appreciate the shuttle service it was very helpful.

Our flight was canceled, so that is how we ended up here. The main reason we chose this place was because they had free shuttle service to and from the airport. That was a huge convenience as we had already parked our car for our trip. The rooms had been recently renovated. They were clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was outstanding! They served so many things including eggs, sausage, waffles, muffins, oatmeal, fruit, and cereal. We will definitely stay again when we are flying out of New Orleans.
