This was a last minute emergency trip and I didn’t get there until 11 and hadn’t had a chance to eat. No vending machines for snacks ( all broke so they took them out). Sign at the check-in reads ‘pool is broke and there is no breakfast, if you don’t like it we will cancel your reservation, just do it before you check-in’. The bed was one level softer than the floor. The ultimate’no-frills’ motel. Why don’t they just fix what’s broken and turn it into a decent place again?

It was under construction and for the price the was better options. They had all the areas one would like to enjoy like pool and fitness area closed..

Was super disappointed to find out that the pool and gym were both closed. They were doing construction and the outside is an absolute mess. We had people in our window doing work outside, but luckily were able to close the blinds. No information about the pool being closed was listed. The shower was super low. And there were cracks in the tub. The rooms are very spacious and they seemed clean other than the shower.

The property was undergoing a renovation, so it was messy in parking lot. I did the pre-check in to save time when I got there, but had to do it anyway in person. Rooms were clean ish. Bed was horrible. Hard and uncomfortable

The hotel pictures are not like the pictures on the website. I stayed in a suite on the 2nd floor and the ice machine was nasty and needed to be cleaned. My room was a suite and it was so many colors in that room it was hideous. When you first walk into the room the furniture was small for that space and it makes the room seem empty. The refrigerator wasn't getting cold. They had cheap shades in the room it was giving a Motel 6 vibe for a higher pay. The hotel use to be elegant but it's not any more. I was wondering why the hotel wasn't pack like other hotels. They advertise they have breakfast but it's breads and cereal and it doesn't last long. The bread that I tasted seemed to be Stell and not good. I would not book with them again. I suppose to have stayed 2 nights but cancelled the other night.

There wasn't anything unique about the property but it was nice, in spite of the construction. We were disappointed that there was no drive through covering out front and it was raining heavy when we arrived. We also did not like the little pillows on the bed and needed either a comforter or another blanket available.

Shower head adjustable slide rod was broken, so shower head wouldn’t stay up and kept falling down. Commode had feces stains when i arrived, so it had obviously not been cleaned. Very disappointed.

The bathroom was very dirty upon arriving, including the towels. There was hair all over the shower, and on the toilet. There was mold in the shower all over the walls. Overall, the hotel was quiet and the man at the desk was very friendly.

Shade tree renovation… The sheets and pillow cases had hair and stains on/in them and the shower was moldy in the tiling. The front desk attendant was very dry, bordering rude. I wouldn’t choose this hotel when we go to visit our daughter in college nearby.

Staff friendly. There was ridiculous amount.of mildew around top of shower and on some shower floor. My wife said someone was drinking alcohol in their car for several hours in parking lot. Won’t use a Howard Johnson again.

First off, the staff was nice so I have no issues with them. But the beds were so hard they felt like they were taken straight from the Flintstones and there was painter's tape holding the air conditioner together. The handle on the shower felt like it was about to fall off. Really I wouldn't have even cared about the tape and the handle so much but that was the worst hotel bed I've ever slept on in my life.

Bed was likely an ultra firm like trying to sleep on a plywood board. No extra blanket in the room (I like a cooler room and blanket) Room got lots of road noise from I 40 as well. Room was clean and hvac worked well but I got little sleep. As I checked in near midnight I did not feel like a room change or asking for a blanket. Economicsl room but had I known how comfort woujd be compromised no way.

It is a nice enough place to stay, but unfortunately the lack of Internet was a deal-killer. There were three different WiFi connections for the hotel, but none of them would offer a connection. The room had a lovely large screen display with a built in Roku TV. But without Internet, the TV was just an expensive wall hanging. While there were live TV channels, they looked horrible, and appeared to be in Standard Definition. (I didn't even know you could get SD signals any more) I would not stay here again, as without Internet access or a television, it does not make the room very comfortable.

You get what you pay for. If you are like my husband and like your bed firm/hard, then you will be good with the bed. When taking a shower, we were also taking a bath. We even asked to have it looked at but it still happened. It did have good water pressure. The internet connection is horrible, especially on the 3rd floor. If you are not on your phone or laptop all the time, it will kick you off and you have to log back in. Also very slow. The breakfast was basic and some of the bread items were not the freshest. We liked that they are located right off the interstate and by all sorts of restaurants and shopping.

We returned to our room only to learn it had not been cleaned. The front desk said simply that they "were shorthanded," but that I could come to the desk to get the things I needed. No prior notice, no offer to help us, no apology.

The bathroom light did not work in the first room and the second room had a piece of food left on the floor which attracteda mound of ants. The clerk would not allow us to gather in the lobby to play games. Very unfriendly and not willing to make accommodations.

I ended up not staying here because after traveling for 10 hours with small children only to find out up on arrival room was not ready, the clerk was very rude and had a nasty attitude so I took my business elsewhere.

One of the best hotel stays I’ve had in a while. The staff were so friendly. The coffee bar was available at all times and hot cookies were served from 8-9 pm. The breakfast was nice and the room was quiet and restful!

The location is great if you are broken down amd need to walk back and forth between Firestone and the hotel for a day. It is clean with abgood shower, good bed and mediocre breakfast. Dated, old and kind of smells old. Front desk is efficient but not friendly. Newer places at lower prices and better are in Jackson

After choosing the hotel and the room with breakfast included, we were very very upset to reach the hotel and see a sign that there was no breakfast due to remodeling. When I complained about false advertising, the perspn working at the desl just said "well, the breakfast situation should have been mentioned." Very poor service. A discount on the room fee or a voucher for breakfast would have helped but that was not offered. I will not be choosing Howard Johnsons or Hotels.com again, and will warn others to steer clear so as to not pay for something not delivered.

Only waffles bread muffins and cereal with shared gallons of milk not sanitary at all orange juice taste spoiled - not there 5 mins and stranger knocked on my door stating DoorDash they should have them drop it off at the front desk for safety reasons.
