Boarded up restaurants in the area. Texas Roadhouse and another steak house just up the road were boarded up. Some of the rooms in the back of the hotel over look the underside of a freeway overpass with graffiti that looked like it was frequented by homeless or druggies. I never felt unsafe though. The pool was closed and the pancake maker was broken. Both of which were advertised but unavailable and this angered another family staying there. We didn't care, though. I left behind in our room a sound machine that nobody seemed to be able to find even though nobody stayed in the room after us. Staff were very friendly but all the little things add up and I wouldn't go back.

The parking area was small and seemed shared with another hotel. Construction was going on it seemed like. The room was clean and the lady that checked us in was helpful and friendly. The noise level was kind of louder than use to for hotels. We didn’t really hear anything from halls much but the room above us I guess a kid was running around at night and we could hear it all. Overall the room was spacious and nice.

Very clean and easy to get to hotel. Friendly staff made check in a breeze. Parking was atrocious since 2 hotels shared a small lot. That was ridiculous and cats parked all over not in spots!!

The refrigerator had the last guests’ food still in it and was dirty. The bathroom needed a better cleaning also behind the toilet and water/mold starting on the ceiling. They were out of laundry bags and the front desk tried to be helpful and gave us a garbage bag. Breakfast was not too bad. The pool is small and needed towels restocked and the floors cleaned. The gym was decently equipped. I wish they had some mats for the floor though

Front desk was nice! We were locked in our room for 20 minutes when we walked in because the door handle was broken. Bath tub was moldy. Pool was closed. Breakfast was cold.

While the booking & check in proceas was easy and the staff was super nice and more than accommodating the place was not well taken care of. On night 1 we visited the pool where there were no towels to use when you got out and the floors were black from dirt and grime. After swimming I went back to the room where we had a 1/4 a roll of toluet paper, broken bottles (body wash, hand soap, ect), a dirty shower and shower curtain and last but not least a tick in the shower. The plaster was falling off the walls and the bed was gritty as if we were at the beach and had gotten sand all in our bed. So for a 1 night stay at this hotel i would have to say it was by far not the best experience but to look on the bright side the staff was not rude. I believe that would have been the icing on the cake.

The workers were kind and helpful; but our room was not cleaned. The bathroom floor had trash and hair on it, by the couch had a lot of food crumbs, and the fridge in the area of the freezer was gross apparently left from a previous guest.

Couldn't stay for the night... smell from some harsh chemicals was awful. Conditions are terrible - shower tub was peeling and walls had finish removed in places. Bed coverings were musty and sticky... i wouldn't book here even if it is free.

I found a bedbug in my bed when I woke up in the morning… I smooshed it and it was filled with my blood… I’ve never been so disgusted in my life. We will never use your hotel again

At check in nobody was at the desk. We waited for 10 minutes before the lady came out of her office to check us in. The bathroom wasnt cleaned. There were 2 bars of used soap in the bathtub. The toilet seat was broken. It was just balanced on the toilet. The mirrors had hand smears all over them.

We booked this hotel because it was one of the few in the area that had a room that would accommodate 6 people (my wife and I and 4 small kids). The room felt very unfinished and neglected. There was a picture missing from the wall, a hole in the door, and cobwebs on the lamp. It did not feel like we were in a hotel but like we were in a room that was built inside a warehouse. Even the lights flickered after they had been on for around 30 seconds. Even though I booked ahead on Expedia the check-in process was extremely slow and it was not a busy time (we arrived around 12:30am). The breakfast was decent and that area was clean and modern.

This was a last minute stop for us and it was great! The room was clean, the bed was comfy, the shower was hot. Breakfast had a good variety of options. It was right off the interstate. The only con was that it was noisy because of the convenient location. But we travel with a sound machine so it wasn’t a huge deal. Clean, comfy, and convenient.

The breakfast was good. The hotel is located right next to the highway and therefore noisy. Check-in night staff was not pleasant. Worse part was overcharged. And no remedy despite efforts. If you chose to stay here - be sure to ask for receipt at check-out!

Stayed here twice in 7 days (on the way to and then on the way home from SC). Easy to get to. The lady at the desk both times was the same and she was wonderful. Upgraded our room so a family of 5 could sleep. We had a couple issues (while on our way home) - no towels, no TV remote - which this lady rectified immediately. Had an issue with the toilet (not the hotels fault) but she helped us out again. Much appreciated. Had a decent sleep before another long drive. Had a great breakfast and said bye to the lovely lady behind the desk which I hope was close the end of her shift. I would totally recommend this hotel to anyone travelling and want a rest 1/2 way.

I was a single but our group was there to attend a funeral. The staff was very accommodating for family to come back and socialize. Everyone was friendly even the maids. Breakfast was hot and had plenty.

Great place to stay as a half way point of a long drive. The lady at the front desk was amazing and helped us out with a couple issues that we encountered (no towels, no TV remote and the need for a toilet plunger) as well as an upgrade to a room with a pull out couch. Great breakfast in the morning before getting back on the road. Would definitely recommend this location to all families on vacation as a rest stop on a long trip.

I called on Sunday to confirm my reservation for fear of traveling 4 hours and the room not being booked. I was assured it was booked. When I showed up today, they told me they were overbooked and I had no room and it wasn’t their fault. Then told me they had the wrong number on file. Both the hotels fault and Expedia in my opinion.

My husband and I stayed with our two kids for my daughter’s dance competition. We arrived to no towels in the room. We also needed to use the pull out couch for my kids, it had no sheets or pillows. Called the front desk and the lady told us to come to the desk to pick them up and wouldn’t bring them up. Got to the front desk to be told they have no towels available at the moment , they just put some in the dryer and to come back in an hour. I’m confident that the liner in the shower was no washed. It had globs of a mystery substance all over! No trash can in the room anywhere and we had a king suit with bedroom in it. We love holiday inn but this experience was very poor and the front desk staff was not kind. Our key cards had to go to the desk 3 different times to be reactivated as well. Lastly, we were in a pinch for breakfast Sat morning to get to the dance venue. We were told breakfast starts at 7 am. We got down there at 7 sharp and the lady said she had just started the hot food and it wouldn’t be ready for 15-20 more minutes. There were very limited “cold” items available.

Staff was friendly and check in was a very smooth process. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bath did not have a plug to hold water. The elevator had a wet floor sign however it was filthy. The floor and the walls both. The following morning it looked as if they had spot mopped the elevator but did not clean any of the walls. An hour before breakfast ended we wanted to eat before getting back in the road and there was no eggs and no biscuits. The gravy was plentiful but dried up so we skipped breakfast.
