Breakfast items were plentiful. Pool was smaller than seen in pictures. There happened to be a football team of 8 or more 8year old boys that were always in the pool being loud so I never went to pool. Requested cleaning person to come every other day for my 5 day stay. After numerous calls to front desk, they came on the 4th day. Front desk stated that we were ignoring them on day 3 when in actuality we weren't even onsite.

Rooms were dirty. Customer service was terrible and everything was outdated. The swimming pool had the light hanging out of it with a wire exposed needless to say we did not swim in it. They really need to do something about the overall condition of this hotel.

The hotel common areas rated 3, but the room rated 5. Liked the space and condition of the rugs and linens. The bed was comfy and the breakfast spread was amazing! Can’t comment on the pool as it’s April. Never used the fitness room. Fire pit was closed and an elevator not working. The neighborhood is corporate, but very nice.

Location good. We killed 2 cockroaches in our room. Inspite of that, the hotel was reasonably clean. Food was poor and boring, however the gentleman who worked food service, was delightful and refreshingly nice. Some of the front desk staff made you feel like you were a big bother. Not at all good salesmen for your establishment. The hotel sponsored activities did not happen on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday evening. Our room was nice sized but I don't think they gave us the next level up room that I reserved. I really wanted to like your hotel but I am disappointed and underwhelmed

Premises were clean, staff was amazing especially Matthew! Room was clean and comfortable. Matthew was very attentive and accommodating during my stay. We were able to barbecue and utilize the outdoor pool at our leisure. Breakfast in the mornings was decent although there are only pork options. I would definitely stay here again.

Guests beware! The shower water in my room was only just warm. No hot water available. Also, the phone in the room was not working. Told that there was no engineering on site, because they have weekends off. I was also told that the hotel was at full capacity...so that seems hard to believe that an available engineer would not be available. The front desk staff moved me to a different room on the same floor. That room also did not have hot water nor a working phone. After my third trip down to the front desk to make them aware (Because I was unable to call with a phone in my room that didn't work) the staff told me that the water temp was preset for the rooms and there were No working phones in the hotel. I really wanted to get a refund and change hotels but when I let the staff know they said that because I had booked thru a 3rd. Party (Orbitz) that would be my responsibility. Frankly, the only reason I did not leave and change hotels was because I was only there for a 2nd night and at this point was exhausted. Future guests beware of this property if you expect hot water, good water pressure, & a working phone. This hotel has not been remodeled in at least 15 years. Robin Sealey

The hotel desperately needs renovations. The last time I stayed at the establishment was 2018, and it looks the exact same. In my room, the AC did not work. Additionally, there were missing cushions on the sofa, stains on the carpets, ceiling, and bathroom walls. Overall, the room did not smell fresh but musty. I planned to stay here a full week but after 2 nights, I was ready to go. If you’re coming for a night or two, sure, but it wasn’t giving “home away from home.” Luckily, the general manager was very nice. The assistant manager was not. When I asked for a refund, she said there was nothing she could do, and instead, asked if I told the hotel about my pet. I corrected her, and said, “Thank you for asking. Yes, I did tell the representative about my SERVICE ANIMAL.” She was very rude and did not correct her attitude until she knew I was going to get in touch with the general manager about the issue, and then she tried to apologize, saying, “I hope I didn’t come off XYZ.” She did come off that way unfortunately. I was moved to a much better room for my final night, but frankly, the hotel needs to be renovated. I wouldn’t mind coming back next summer when the reservations are done because of Larry. He is a great general manager!

Never will stay here again.

The shower dripped constantly and there was mildew in the tub. The TVs are very small and mounted at a strange angle. It’s very outdated. There was an odd smell and caused headaches. The sink wouldn’t drain and smelled horrible. There was a very large and loud dog that woke me up several times.

I was bitten. House keeping could not understand me due to language barrier for help. I found roaches crawling late at night. No offer to refund just to tell housekeeping to spray. Very disappointed in a supposedly 3 star hotel.

Nice comfortable rooms breakfast was very good, usual set piece for this type of accommodation, however different items were available each day. Only criticism was that there was hardly any hot water, both from the kitchenette sink and the bathroom sink. Luckily after having to run the shower for a good 5mins we eventually got some hot water. Property was quite a distance from city centre, but this wasn’t a problem.

The property looks good at first glance... but the rooms are lackluster. The kitchen sink had no hot water, the dishwasher is very loud, the stove top knobs don't work correctly, there are no pans to use in the oven and the "couch" is awful.

All ended up well after requesting another room because of a very noisy sound from behind a door right next to the bed. Hard to believe this has not been fixed in room 118. Room 119 was very quiet& comfortable.

We didnt know they dont sevice the room if only staying 2 days. Fireplace didnt work. Extremely cold water.no.hot water. However they did ask us to. Change rooms around 730pm the 2nd day. We declined due to the day we had that day. The breakfast was good and free parking. Would i stay again? No.

I really wanted to get a refund and change hotels but when I let the staff know they said that because I had booked thru a 3rd. Party (Orbitz) that would be my responsibility. Frankly, the only reason I did not leave and change hotels was because I was only there for a 2nd night and at this point was exhausted. Matthew (at the front desk) was excellent. He greeted us every morning, and welcomed us back every evening. Also, the staff at breakfast was very friendly and helpful. They all made our stay very pleasant.

The hotel desperately needs renovations. The last time I stayed at the establishment was 2018, and it looks the exact same. In my room, the AC did not work. Additionally, there were missing cushions on the sofa, stains on the carpets, ceiling, and bathroom walls. Overall, the room did not smell fresh but musty. I planned to stay here a full week but after 2 nights, I was ready to go. If you’re coming for a night or two, sure, but it wasn’t giving “home away from home.” Luckily, the general manager was very nice. The assistant manager was not. When I asked for a refund, she said there was nothing she could do, and instead, asked if I told the hotel about my pet. I corrected her, and said, “Thank you for asking. Yes, I did tell the representative about my SERVICE ANIMAL.” She was very rude and did not correct her attitude until she knew I was going to get in touch with the general manager about the issue, and then she tried to apologize, saying, “I hope I didn’t come off XYZ.” She did come off that way unfortunately. I was moved to a much better room for my final night, but frankly, the hotel needs to be renovated. I wouldn’t mind coming back next summer when the reservations are done because of Larry. He is a great general manager!

The staff was friendly and easy to work with in most cases. It was easy to check in and get to the room. The first thing we noticed when we came into the room was how many things were in disrepair. I have attached a few pictures to this review of some of the things that were in disrepair. There were some other items that needed attention like the shower curtain rod hanging down and the temperature controls of the shower not working well (either too hot or too cold not really any controls in between) among other things. It was also a bit unclean in certain areas. After talking with the staff about the room condition no actions were taken to accommodate us in another room or to fix the items that were in disrepair. The gentleman in charge of breakfast was very good at ensuring everything was well taken care of, we really appreciated his efforts. If you want room service it was necessary to talk to the front desk and request it, otherwise they did not come. Overall the stay was okay but we expected the room to be in a better state. This is not somewhere I would recommend to stay.

Staff was terrific especially Matthew who checked us in. The room was over all nice a few minor things nothing to complain about. My sole complaint was on four seperate occassions during the stay someone attempted to enter our room twice around 3am and then twice between 11am and 12 on the 27th while we were packing to check out.

We had trouble with basic things like getting the sofa bed set up, a blanket, clean towels, and trash removal. We provided our own maid service. We were told several times that they were busy with sports teams. Not our problem. Bedside light not working, drapes torn. Shabby. Luke was one bright spot. My recommendation...stay are the Drury if you need a place in west Richmond, VA

Nice comfortable rooms breakfast was very good, usual set piece for this type of accommodation, however different items were available each day. Property was quite a distance from city centre, but this wasn’t a problem.

The hotel common areas rated 3, but the room rated 5. Liked the space and condition of the rugs and linens. The bed was comfy and the breakfast spread was amazing! Can’t comment on the pool as it’s April. Never used the fitness room. Fire pit was closed and an elevator not working. The neighborhood is corporate, but very nice.

Breakfast items were plentiful. Pool was smaller than seen in pictures. There happened to be a football team of 8 or more 8year old boys that were always in the pool being loud so I never went to pool. Requested cleaning person to come every other day for my 5 day stay. After numerous calls to front desk, they came on the 4th day. Front desk stated that we were ignoring them on day 3 when in actuality we weren't even onsite.

Location good. We killed 2 cockroaches in our room. Inspite of that, the hotel was reasonably clean. Food was poor and boring, however the gentleman who worked food service, was delightful and refreshingly nice. Some of the front desk staff made you feel like you were a big bother. Not at all good salesmen for your establishment. The hotel sponsored activities did not happen on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday evening. Different flavored waffles were good/eggs were not good. Our room didn’t have a hair dryer, so that was surprising. We had a suite which included everything needed for cooking and eating (utensils were really cheap) and even had a dishwasher and iron and ironing board.

Premises were clean, staff was amazing especially Matthew! Room was clean and comfortable. Matthew was very attentive and accommodating during my stay. We were able to barbecue and utilize the outdoor pool at our leisure. Breakfast in the mornings was decent although there are only pork options. I would definitely stay here again.
