Colorado Grande Casino

Love this spot.

My main complaint is the horrible mattress; we couldn't sleep, Basically the mattress was a sinking hole for my wife and I; She hurt her back and struggle for a whole week even missing days at work, it really was that bad, The parking was easy, right outside the casino. The room was just ok but very outdated wich is fine for us but not for some people, so keep that in mind, everything works fine in the room except for the bed and the tv with only 1 channel, nothing to watch, the restaurant on the basement floor serves very good and delicious food, we love the Alfredo pasta with shrimp it was great.

The most important thing to note is that there is NO elevator and the rooms are on the second floor, only accessible via a 26 step staircase. My spouse has had 11 ankle surgeries and I would never have booked this room had I known of all the steps. The room was nice and clean. It has been a long time since I was given and actual key to my room :-). The room was quiet, despite being located directly above the casino floor. I drive a large Pickup with an 8' bed, the underground lot with cameras was impossible for me to get into via a too tight turn from an alley. The hotel location is about in the midpoint of Cripple Creeks main street, so everything was convenient. Everyone on staff was friendly and accomodating. Although when we tried to check-in, the casino cashier was on dinner break and the hotel check-in person was covering for her, so we were asked to wait 15 minutes and come back to check in. The Hotel's price was very reasonable. Solely due to the 26 stairs to get to your room with baggage et al, I would probably not stay here again.
