Global Luxury Suites at The Apex Miami

Seemed an appealing hotel leading by the name. But room needs a mirror. Also the pool wasn't clean. I meant to stay for 10 days but an emergency maintenance of the building has me out on the 2nd night.

Everything was good. Pool was a little dirty but other than that pretty solid. Fernando was very helpful.

Great location, clean room, cute pool. comfortable bed and decent towels. However, the shower had no hot water, so it was a little frustrating taking cold showers, especially when the adjacent sink had no issues providing hot water. There is no parking provided but Trader Joe's offers parking in their garage across the street.

I booked this property because it advertised having on site parking (valet). It is such a strain when I am working to try to find a parking garage after I get off work late and feel safe walking by myself in the dark. I arrived to the property around 11 pm and asked about the parking. I was told that I could go park at Trader Joe’s, though that lot was blocked off for construction. Ended up having to park for 65.00 a night at a garage down the road. Additionally, got my room key and it didn’t work initially and came back down and I asked if there was someone in the room because there was noise in there, and the front desk shuffled through some papers to make sure I wasn’t in the wrong room because she didn’t know, and told me that “they were unorganized because they just opened in December 2024.” I expected something entirely different, as it was represented by Expedia much better than it actually was. Needless to say, was very frustrated when I have to trust Expedia to vet the businesses they represent.

I don’t understand how this hotel has such a high rating. The breakfast advertised is not included, there is no parking, and the listing is misleading. Overall, a very disappointing stay.

Everything was good. The only problem is there is no ice. Please get an ice machine.

The property was very clean and no complaints about the hotel itself. Only complaint is that advertised as having valet and they did not have valet parking.

Great location, walking distance to Lincoln Road. Front desk staff was very helpful. We parked in a garage across the street instead of on the street. Traders Joe’s is across the street-very convenient. Lobby was nice with coffee and complimentary snacks. The pool was closed for part of our stay due to storm/water issues, and it was still not cleaned up after opening, so did not use it. Only constructive criticism I’ll add is that it would be helpful to have a few more towels available-2 regular towels per adult instead of 1. Would definitely stay again and recommend to folks visiting South Beach!

Do not visit this hotel! NOT Luxury AT ALL! Check in process is long, their IT crashed which cased delays. They then made us fill in a dodgy online form, which blocked my bank card as they thought it was fraud. They took a photocopy of my bank card too which I was uneasy about. Hot water then failed in the building, so we had no showers. The staff were very unhelpful, repeatedly saying 'this can't be true, it's never happened before', thinking I was lying... No compensation was offered or anything to rectify the situation. On emailing the team, I was ignored. The hotel also doesn't have a direct dial, so you get put through to a call centre which you can't hear as the phone line is so bad, and they won't help you with any issues at the hotel, other than saying 'we'll email them for you' This is NOT Luxury, far from it. The photos make the hotel look much nicer than it is. I would avoid at all costs. The room was dirty, air con unit covered in dust. Not great.

All staff were friendly. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.

I liked the location. What I didn’t like were the lights in the hotel room didn’t come on sometimes during the stay. Nail clippings were on the floor. Stain in the floor towel, I wouldn’t have paid the amount I paid had I seen it beforehand.

For a new hotel, we had an excellent stay here. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable and I would definitely go back.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights and on the first night we noticed that the sheets were dirty and had some hair and bugs on them, obviously used by someone else . But when we arrived that night it was after 12pm and we were very tired and didn't change rooms. The next day we found out that my husband had a skin allergy with large red and swollen areas, we contacted the front desk staff and explained the situation. But he said he had to contact headquarters and couldn't change

The property was what I needed. Clean, quiet, and comfy. However, I wish there were blackout curtains and phones in the rooms. I needed to speak to the front desk, but had to physically go to the front desk for a minor issue. The room was clean, but there was hair from another person in the bathroom, and on the bed. That is a pet peeve of mine. I do not like seeing hair from another person in and around the room that I am. Details. Other than that all good.

Our room had a VERY strong musty smell and no clean air circulation. That was an immediate turn off, but when I notified the front desk, I was informed that "it is a very old building" and the front desk has no power to do anything about any urgent issue. Front desk "staff" just sit there as third party faces and have to send an email or voicemail to get approval for the most basic services, which takes who knows how long to get a response. There was no housekeeping or on-call service available at 6pm, no air freshener or any basic supplies whatsoever. We specifically requested room service come in the morning as soon as possible and, of course, they did not come. The same thing happened to another guest. In addition, the stand up shower is so narrow and close to the ground it's impossible to take a shower without getting the entire floor wet. There is no counter space at all in the bathroom so good luck figuring out where to place toiletries as you get ready. No full length mirror either. A mini fridge and microwave in the room would have been a nice touch but NOPE, we had to use a shared microwave in the lobby which is nearly impossible to open after use without help. I would strongly recommend spending just a bit extra for basic service and comfort elsewhere even though this is in a very convenient central location.

A cute small yet comfortable studio like room. Comfortable for two and a short stay unless, you’re just coming in to sleep and enjoying the night life. Pros- Keurig in the room. Access to coffee downstairs in the lobby if needed for refill. Table with two chairs to sit and eat/ hang out if you don’t want to be on the bed. Cabinet for your belongings and extra storage space. Cute little bathroom with shampoo, conditioner, soap and lotion. IRON AND IRONING BOARD. HAIRDRYER CONS- NO MIRROR IN THE ROOM ( besides small one in bathroom.) Bathroom curtain isn’t long enough to hold the water in so, prepare for a puddle after exciting. Shades in the room but, could use curtains to black out the room a little more in the morning. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Location is great, price is decent but this is in no way luxury. There is only the bathroom mirror, no full length mirror, on South Beach. So you will have to find out how you look in the elevator mirror. One accessible electric socket, so you’re only charging one device at a time or unplugging lamps and moving the bed to get to that plug. Otherwise all good.

The room was OK not as modern as I expected staying on the top floor, which was the fifth. I was expecting a balcony, but unfortunately, there wasn’t one. No continental breakfast accommodated in the mornings, but the staff was extremely friendly. Each staff member were very professional and very nice. As I reflect back on my stay ,at the hotel, that’s what sticks out to me the most.

Stayed for 2 nights, the room was smaller than expected but clean and the bed was comfortable. Our towels were not changed nor was our bed made up which is normal in Europe however, as we were only here for 2 nights that was ok. The hotel is close to shops, and the botanical gardens, and a 20 min (slow walk) to the beach. Easy to get to the main side such as downtown Miami or Brickell via uber or bus. Would recommend staying here if you're on a budget.

This is a spartan hotel, but the staff was friendly. The check-in was a bit slow. It seems like they need to get the process down, because they asked me to fill out some forms I had already submitted online. They do have some basic amenities, like coffee and offered some kind of breakfast bars. My room was technically clean, but stank of cigarettes. It felt like smoke had permeated into the walls or something and was never properly dealt with, or a prior guest had violated the no smoking policy? The mini-fridge and A/C were a bit on the noisy side as well. I didn't have food, so unplugged the fridge. The location was convenient for my needs. Definitely in a walkable area.

As soon as I came in, I was welcomed with open arms by Fernando and all the staff, Robert was so helpful and such an overall great guy. Best hotel in Miami Beach. I don’t see how anything else could beat the warmth and hospitality of this place. I will only stay here when I come back to miami

The check in was superb and staff throughout the day were helpful and friendly. The pool was great and had enough shade and sunlight depending on time of day. I plan on coming back to stay at this location again.

The overnight staff was not very helpful with any of the problems we dealt with. I was very disappointed when the morning staff told me solutions for all the problems, but it was irrelevant by that time.

There was nobody at the check-in the 2 times I went. I left a phone number so someone would call me. I never got a phone call

This hotel did everything I needed for me, a nice 1 night stay with good facilities! Had no issues checking in and Marina at the front desk was lovely to talk to. Also had a slight issue with accidentally locking my bathroom door; which Carmen at the front desk promptly helped me out with and was really nice to talk to :) All the services was good but I have to shoutout the staff for being extra friendly and helpful :)

Excellent front desk staff at check-in and during stay (esp Robert). Clean, updated accommodations. Would stay here again!

Excellent service from Carmen who not only allowed early check in , but she actually called me as I got off the plane in Miami to let me know I could come right over.

I absolutely love the location and I especially love the staff front desk .. they were all amazing enjoyed my stay awesome ! Love love it highly recommend! Away from the beach but yet close enough ..

I often visit South Beach and this was a lovely place to stay. The location is excellent - a few minutes walk from Lincoln Street, botanical gardens, groceries and other shopping and dining. It was easy to get to but the front door was a bit hard to locate on arrival because it's small and looks locked, but isn't. The staff was mostly very friendly and asked every day if anything was needed but through my time there, my TV was not working, and noone was willing to assist me with the problem, which was disappointing. The room was comfortable and clean (although the bathroom could use a little upgrade). The pool area didn't feel very accessible.

Hotel was clean, super close to port and walking distance to a lot of shops. Staff was so quick I was shocked. thank you guys

I uber/lyfted to the beach and it wasn’t too expensive, but I was traveling all over Miami, and that would cost a lot or dependent on Trolley/bus timings. I would recommend getting a car if you are going to other areas of Miami. The room and bathroom were clean and I had enough towels and toiletries were provided. There is no mini fridge to store any groceries, there is a small coffee machine. The hotel entrance is hard to locate because there’s a small sign on the door, but it’s right next to the restaurant Paya.

Clean and friendly staff. In walking distance to shops, restaurants and bars. I would recommended this hotel to family and friends. We will be back again!

The location is quite good, very close to Lincoln Road & a short walk to Espanola. We were coming off of a cruise ship & they allowed us to check in a few hours early. The only issue we had was the water did not get real hot for showering. The bed was comfy. There is a lot of noise from the road & there is a lot of light that comes in the windows. I would definitely recommend a sleep mask & sound machine during sleep.

Even though I only stayed for one day, and this hotel is brand new, the staff was so welcoming and so kind that I had to write about it. They were extremely helpful and the customer service was great. The hotel is also right in the heart of South Beach and there's a great sushi restaurant a block away. Would definitely recommend!
