Easy access right next to the highway. Easy access to shopping and food. Nice 3/4 refrigerator. Bathroom was clean. Had an exercise room. Maid service was very nice and helpful. I will be staying there again whenever I travel to College Station.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were made to feel very welcome. Our room was ready when we arrived and very clean at all times. The pool is only 3.5 feet deep, so perfect for smaller children. Great grand kids had a ball in the pool. All questions were answered. I would highly recommend this property if you ever have the need to stay in College Station Texas

Still under renovations but would say this will be a very nice place once completed. Lobby and breakfast area were sparse!! Breakfast was not well stocked and furniture was pool furniture. Very minimal. Again under renevation but once it's done this place would be nice. Room was very nice, clean, comfy and spacious. I would stay again. Staff was friendly.

Top notch hotel, exceptionally clean, very elegant and spacious rooms, very comfortable, superb staff, great prices and even a nice breakfast... Look no farther! Stay here! Wingate is easy to find, on Frontage Road, right off the Earl Rudder Freeway (State Hwy. 6 S) just south of where it intersects with Texas Ave. It is well located in a nice part of town near several restaurants, grocery store, shopping center, hospitals, the university, etc. Parking is free and well lit. You can park where you can see your car out the window. This hotel has gone through an amazing renovation. The rooms are all newly done, extremely nice and comfortable. They are not quite done with the lobby and breakfast room, and the hallway carpet will soon be replaced. I was impressed at how friendly, engaging and helpful the staff were. My King Suite was very pleasant and equipped with all one would expect and more. There was a living room area, large screen TV, plenty of lights and plug ins, mini-fridge, microwave, desk, drawers, iron and ironing board. The bathroom was stocked with fluffy towels, wash cloths, Dove brand personal hygiene items, etc. New coin operated washing machines and dryers are available. The pool looked inviting. The breakfast is quite good. They offer a variety of breads, sweets, fruit, cereal, hot waffles, and fresh made hot biscuits and sausage gravy.

I stayed here for one night. It’s in a good location- there is a shopping plaza close by with a grocery store, pharmacies, etc. in case you need to pop over and get something. It’s also just off of 6, so a convenient spot in that sense too. Check-in was quick and easy. Plenty of parking, at least when I was there. My room was very spacious and pretty clean. I didn’t use the amenities because of the quick nature of my stay, so I can’t speak to those.

The elavator was fine when we got there then when it was time to leave they had a sign that going down it was broken but worked fine going up. And you couldn't get in the pool due to it not having a senior lift. We aren't seniors and it wasn't on the site anywhere.

Under renovation- perhaps should close until finished. Scheduled completion in March; still a long way to go. Renovation trash around back. Room #s on floor, cleaning cart blocking out door (room was next to laundry room), trim around floor poorly attached, tv not working. Went for breakfast a few minutes before it closed and lady cleaning area around table we were sitting at seemed to go out of her way to make noise - dragging and clanging chairs and tables together as she cleaned. I would not recommend- at least not in its current state.

We knew going in that the hotel is under construction so we were prepared for strange smells and paint and carpeting redone. Overall it was a delightful stay and the room was VERY clean. Sheets crisp and clean. Breakfast area is nice and it’s a decent offering. Enjoyed Vanessa at the checkout very personable.

Room was spacious and fairly clean, weird splotches on the blinds and peeling caulk above the AC unit. TV had to be adjusted to the correct HDMI port from the previous guests. The shower's handle was very finicky and only heated at a precise angle!

Hotel room door wouldn’t latch so door wouldn’t close. All someone had to do was push door and they would have had entry. Shower temperature handle wouldn’t stay on hot it would slide to cold temp. Second person to shower pulled the lever up and the whole thing came off in their hands. Staff was helpful and tried to make accommodations however traveling with daughter alone did not feel safe staying for our second night.

The hotel itself was nice. The staff were pleasant. Everything looked and smelled clean. Locating it was simple, and it had easy to navigate parking. Check in was easy. The check out was as well. But the mattresses in our 2 queen-bed room were solid and very uncomfortable. I woke up feeling like I had been in a fight… neck was sore, shoulder was sore, lower back was aching. My co-workers nor I could sleep because of it. If the mattresses are replaced, I’d consider staying again. But until then, sleep is important.

The beds are horrible, and hard as rock to sleep on. The beds squeak as you move around to try and get comfortable. My kids even complained about them. The air conditioner is loud. If you are close to the elevator you will hear it all night long.

Avoid this property. Room 1- I checked in and friendly staff gave me keys to my room. The door would not open and it sounded like it was occupied. It turns out they gave me a key to the wrong room. The front office staff gave me a key to a new room. Room 2 - I went in to the second room and it was really hot. Turns out the ac had not been on for awhile. There was also used tissue in the floor next to the bed and specks on the sheets. I went back to front desk with issues. They moved me to a second room. Room 3 - This was supposed to be an “upgraded room”. I went in and found out the bathroom door was locked from the outside. Once again I had to go downstairs to get assistance. He came upstairs and opened the door with a screwdriver. The AC was leaking so the carpet in front was always wet. Also, the deadbolts were not lined so the door could be opened even if “locked” from inside. Had it not been a busy football weekend with rooms in the area sold out I would have definitely left this hotel.

I had just been released from the hospital and needed to be close in case I needed to return. The hotel is within 4 minutes from Scott & White Hospital College Station. When I called the hotel to explain my situation, they allowed me to check in 4 hours early without any additional charges. They were very accommodating ensuring I had a quiet suite with easy access. Also offered to assist with any additional needs I may have had, above & beyond customer service! There are kind, compassionate people in this world! I would highly recommend & now a loyal customer!

Vanessa at the front desk was so kind and helpful! The hotel is going through some renovations but it certainly did not impact our stay. The room was large and clean, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was way more than we expected!

Its really a nice one; only thing is if you do not have car it is difficult to move in and out of main town. Rooms are really big, they have excellent furnitures and other facilities. Front desk people are helpful. They need to improve their breakfast. Many times it gets over well before time and one of the front desk person is not forthcoming in refilling stuffs. Varieties are also less. If you are staying more than 2 days, you pretty much know whats going to be the breakfast for all seven days to come Rest everything is good. All furnitures are new and top quality.

Vanessa, at the front desk, was very helpful and friendly! The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable! The location was easy access to the highway and restaurants! The rooms facing the highway allow for pretty loud noise though. Take earplugs.

Overall, I was disappointed with this hotel. Wifi was poor. Breakfast was free, but so many issues. Yogurt machine wasn’t working during my stay. Coffee machine needed to be rebooted several time and was out of order the last day of my stay. There was no fruit for several days. Overall cleanliness of the hotel was average at best. I won’t be returning to this hotel.

I'm not one to leave bad reviews, but this experience is one I'd want no other to experience. The hotel was bare, with minimal fuenrited in lobby and breakfast area. Speaking of breakfast, this is what did it for us. There was no breakfast at 8am. No food and no replenishing. The staff was not concerned, or in any urgency to cntnue to prepare food. There were about 8 tables in the area that looked like tables you'd have by a pool. The young lady at check in was very sweet, but stated the hotel had been renovated. The only thing we feel had been updated was the bathroom. The room smells of smoke that was stuck in the old carpeting. This place shoyjs not be open. We should be able to at least get 50% off. No breakfast, and awful experience. The 2nd night we stayed at holiday inn express college station and it was a amazing. Top notch and reasonably priced.

It was ok. The room clean and customer service was good. However, the bed was uncomfortable but the pillows were great. I didn’t recognize the microwave until the morning because the microwave is not at eyesight to view it. Breakfast, the waffles and juice were good. The eggs needs help. You can tell the eggs were microwaved. I was extremely disappointed about the eggs. Overall, my stay is 3.5 out of 5.

Friendly staff, the breakfast was the best we've had in a long time at a hotel. Ot was hot, and they had plenty for ppl to get seconds if wanted. I will definitely stay here afain next trip to college statio .
