Had a great 6 days there, great access to the beach, although even if you’re staying at the hotel you need to spend 350 pesos each to sit there. I’d advise getting an ocean facing suite, the rooms in the back seemed small. One of the elevators was not in service on some days. Cheap stay, near all the gay bars and restaurants. Would prob stay again.

If you are looking for quiet place this is not the place, the daily show on the rooftop goes till midnight with very loud music, access to the rooftop is only if you consume, access to the beach front view has minimum consumption. New Years party when till 3 in the morning, so if you are not a party person this is not the place. food and drinks are average. The best for this hotel is the access to other venues in the zona romantica.

Although it is a nice property the pool is in the middle of the property and only had direct sunlight for about 2 hours a day, there was no jacuzzi.

Entire building needs maintenance. Pools are cold, dirty and unkept. We ended up going down the beach to get long chaise loungers and better service everyday.

The hotel is average, not extremely nice or modern. My room seemed clean. The hot water in the shower did not work. Even leaving it running for 5-10 minutes, the water never got warmer than room temperature. There was one night where someone was blasting music in the alley (not sure they were affiliated with the hotel) which made it very difficult to sleep. Really enjoyed the restaurant out near the beach - food was good and the service great. Also enjoyed the rooftop bar and drag show. I wish the pools were more well maintained. They did not seem inviting. The beach in front of the hotel was amazing, also with great service.

We were in a "breezy blue junior suite" which was a good size & had a kitchen, but no in room safe. The dining table was very carved but missing the glasstop surface so spilling was a constant issue. The room was a bit tired and the bathroom was cramped & tiny. The view was fantastic, but difficult to enjoy from our balcony because of the unrelenting pounding disco music from the Beach Club just below & left of the hotel from about 8:00am to 10:30pm. Actually couldn't even have our balcony doors open the music was so LOUD!!! So much so we cancelled our return stay.

Overall a tough stay. I would not book again and spend more to stay at Almar next door with real pools. Upgraded to suite room which came with incredible views but the condition of the room was really tough. Floor tiles coming up, toilet paper holder ripped off wall. Drag show nightly blasted through my room as I was on the floor below. No safe in room. Only safe available is at front desk shared with other guests. Wifi didn’t work on my floor. Front desk told me it’s terrible. Night guard tried to extort cash from me to bring someone to the room. Asked me to withdraw from the lobby atm. Overall not a great experience

Good view, however that was not enough to overlook the howling party goers inside the hotel until 3am. Pigeons and poop all over balcony. beds and pillows are terrible. Drafty room, Dirty pool. Staff was indifferent. Luckily we only booked two nights here. So we cut our looses and left after the first night. Expensive lesson we will not be back.

Room was not an ocean view we booked, it was a pool view. Rooms were dirty, have not been maintained. All the molding was filthy, chipped and cracked. Floors were dirty and chipped. No phone in rooms house keeping was ok at best, had to ask for face towels several times. The pool was extremely cloudy and you couldn’t see the bottom, no one worked on it for days. Once they did it took several days to get almost clear only to have it clouded again. TV didn’t work, coffee maker didn’t have any filters and neither did the resort or any local store. Had I read any of the reviews I found once we arrived I wouldn’t have booked this property. The pictures of the resort must have been taken when it was brand new, everything about the hotel is old, outdated and not maintained.

Motel de cauchemar !!! Sale à crier ! Cuisine sans vaisselle, aucun ustensile... bref un frigo et un comptoir. Les serviettes changées tous les 3 ou 4 jours, les serviettes de plage avec des trous béants (ma tête passe dedans sans difficulté), la pseudo cuisine sans mur extérieur (donc chasse aux pigeons tous les matins). Bref : plus de Blue Shit que de Blue Chairs ! (et ils osent l’appeler une « station balnéaire ». Les draps troués (jamais été changés pendant le séjour) L\'eau de la douche : soit glacée soit bouillante (au point d\'être dangereuse !) Chaque matin c\'était la "Loterie de l\'Eau"... surprise pour glacée ou bouillante ! !!! Les photos doivent avoir été prises dans les années 80 ! Expedia ne devrait pas perdre son nom sur cet hôtel et le retirer de sa liste. Et que dire de la sécurité, du service aux chambres et/ou des wake-up calls : AUCUN téléphone dans la chambre! NEVER AGAIN !!!

After traveling from the states, I just wanted to relax. But everything about this place is just horrible. The two women at check-in was very dry and unaccommodating. The trans women was all attitude and Rebecca was just rude. I was only allowed one key, and I was checking in with my friend. The tv didn’t work, I wasn’t there to watch tv, but it would have been a little distraction. The internet didn’t work, you have to come downstairs to lobby to get internet. I would NEVER recommend this place to my friends. This hotel almost ruin my vacation. Thank goodness I have friends and place to go and see! Do not book this hotel, you will be disappointed.

T.V wasn’t working, no iron in room and when requested one it was never brought to me. Pool was dirty so I didn’t get a chance to use it. Room and bathroom are very small, door to bathroom was hard to close and open. Pictures online are from a long time ago and they need to update them with current ones Will never stay there again and do not recommend it.

The pictures from online don't compare to the rooms im person. Verything is outdated or not working. I first had small room with 2 beds with a partial view if the ocean. The room had some issues with it like stains and holes in the curtains, stains on the sheets, termite damage around the bathroom door. I was able to talk to the hotel manager Daniel and was able to upgrade me to a Jr suite with 2 bedrooms with a great view of the ocean for an additional price for the room. Of course the suite was outdated like the rest of the Hotel. The water pressure in the main bathroom wasn't working properly. The toilet wouldn't flush very well and the shower didn't work well. Overall the Hotel was outdated and needs lot's of work. The Hotel manger was super nice among everyone else who helped out with the issue's. I wouldn't recommend on staying there unless you don't care about the hotel falling apart and want to stay at a cheap outdated hotel. I would spend a little more money and stay somewhere nicer. Was some problems. had some issues

It’s an ok hotel, great front desk and bar staff. My first ocean front room didn’t have water pressure or hot water. My second room was just fine, but couldn’t connect to the WiFi from the room or have regular cell service. So to coordinate with my friends I had to step out of my room to the main hall each time.

This property has so much potential to be great. A friend told me that he had a great time there, but that had to be years ago. The hotel needs a serious update. No phones in the room, no fridge or safe. The staff was amazing and took care of any requests asked. We went down to the pool for a swim. While swimming, a used condom floated in my hand. Disgusting, they didn't even clean the pool after a bubble pool party. I shook it off my hand and it landed on the pool. It stayed on the edge of the pool for 3 days after that. They had 3 pools, but they 2 are the size of kiddy pools. Please update your facility. I will definitely return to Puerto Vallarta, but not this hotel.

The property was rundown, but view and size of the room were great. And, the location was perfect. I would stay again. The maids were GREAT! Room was super clean, beds made, and everything tidy. Room needed kitchen stuff...a couple coffee mugs, glasses, plates, sharp knife. Thanks, Rick

This hotel is located right on the beach in the romantic zone, and it is an adults only which is nice, its in the older part of PV, but the hotel is quite run down and the images that they use to advertise the rooms on their website and the ones that Expedia uses are false to what they represent. The breezy Jr suite we had was in poor condition, the room looked like it had just been painted but poorly, paint splotches everywhere, paint over spray on the cabinets and side table, paint blobs all over the windows, the balcony and chairs were constantly covered in Pigeon poop so didnt use, the doors and locks on the door were janky and the deadbolt hardly latched closed, gaps around the door let all the noise in. The bathroom I don't even want to get into. There was really no place to store your clothes so you are living out of your suitcase, the TV in the room was missing the TV remote and when I inquired about it over 4 times nothing was done to rectify the situation, each time i asked I was told we will look into that and nothing ever happened, one even said that they will notify management and no-one ever contacted me to give me an update. Roof top bar is quite loud until 10-11pm each night with shows. The hotel is about a 15-20 min walk to the DT area as there are not many options to eat other than the beach front resort they offer, which wasn't great. Cost wise, I'd look elsewhere for accommodations.

The good: A/C was POWERFUL! I never felt hot. Also, WiFi was over 100mbps; so great, great signal, especially for Mexico. Location is amazing being right across the beach. One can drink the water out of the faucet. Most employees are very nice, but not many speak English. Having a translator app on my phone proved incredibly useful. The bad: one isn’t allowed to bring guests to hotel room unless one pays a fee. I’m talking even friends for a few hours, not staying the night. The room, although spacious, was a little run down. About 1/2 the recessed were out. There’s a “kitchen” but it isn’t supposed to be used. So hotel provided ZERO plates, forks, etc. I did have 2 coffee cups and a coffee maker. Since the hotel has a bar, it’s loud between…7PM-12AM. No one is at the bar, but the music is pumping. Conclusion: would I stay here again? It wouldn’t be my first choice, but…never say never.

Always a pleasure staying at blue chairs however, these last three times I’d stay there. They have a new receptionist with the name of Rebecca with a very bad attitude and it’s not helpful at all. I hope blue chairs addresses her behavior because it’s very unpleasant to be on vacation and have to deal with people‘s attitude and unwanted behavior. But other than that very good place to stay food is wonderful including the drinks thank you blue cheers for always taking care of us, but I hope reception gets better.

All staff were polite and very helpful. The hotel general manager, Arturo, went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. The location is great for walking Zona Romantica. We would stay there again if we return to PV.

Things have gone downhill since we stayed at this resort last year. A minimum consumption of 350 pesos is now required to use the beach chairs. On checking in, we were given only one key card for the two of us. The receptionist requested a bribe of 500 pesos to receive another key card for my partner. The music from the bar was especially loud and continued until very late at night.

Had a good stay. No frills hotel but was comfortable and glad they provided shampoo and body wash. Aldo at the front desk was very helpful although the rest of the staff wasn’t as friendly as him. I love that they are so close to the beach. The blue chairs umbrellas beach wait staff was nice and friendly and the drinks (mojitos, pina coladas, blended margaritas) were all well-made and tasty, but you need to make a reservation the day before if you want seats closer to the water. I scheduled a professional massage with Lucas who did a great job and has awesome technique and well worth the cost. I’ve stayed here before and would stay again for its location and cost. Glad they are mostly LGBTQ+ but I did see a lot of other couples as well.

Hello, we think the major problem is the service staff, i mean the servers from both the beach area and the rooftop area. They are just money driven, we were one day at the blue chairs beach area and the server was rude and gritty. The last time we went upstairs they told us to pay while we were enjoying the drag show and we were surprised by it. We payed we left to a another place to spend our pesos. Aldo we mostly spent our beach time at the green chairs next door, polite and nice servers over there.

All the staff was incredible. Only issue was with the beach server, who was busy drinking with other guests rather than checking on others needing service. All for someone enjoying their day, just not at others expense. Love the layout of the hotel and had a good time in the outlets.

Overall very nice. Clean room, comfortable bed. Could have used a dresser / chest of drawers, there was none. Didnt have hot water one morning, was fixed after we advised front desk. No other issues. Personally, the only complaint other than the lack of a dresser is that there is a hill that may be challenging for some to walk. We ended up using Uber / taxi several times to avoid walking the hill, Uber /taxi was cheap, usually about $6 US.

You can’t beat the location, and the view from our room of the beach was spectacular. I think the bathroom could use an upgrade and so could the kitchenette. Also, if you want a more relaxing scene, this is not the place. The hotel next-door played music very loud constantly.

2nd time to stay at this hotel and I will definitely be back. This is a very reasonable rate hotel in a great location. They clean the rooms daily, beds are comfortable and staff is friendly and helpfull. If you stay, must check out the bar next door Sailors, fun place great bartenders.

Super friendly staff love that it’s LGBTQ+ friendly. I visited with a group of friends and it was clean, and nothing super fancy but nice. The ocean view room was an amazing view. Close to the Malecon, shops, bars, restaurants and more. I dive and I had to walk 40 minutes to the dive shop, so that was a bit far but the diving was incredible! Went to Los Arcos and it was the best diving experience I have had in Mexico so far. I recommend this hotel.

Stayed Blue Chairs Jul 1-8-25. For the price great location perfect The entire staff was great but an extra shout out to Rafael & Abraham for there above and beyond customer Service. The hotel could use a make over but knew that when booked trip My room was good no issues at all. I would stay there again The Beach Bar and Cafe food was always good as well as service Beach was great always had a full drink what more could you ask for on vacation

The hotel is average, not extremely nice or modern. My room seemed clean. The hot water in the shower did not work. Even leaving it running for 5-10 minutes, the water never got warmer than room temperature. There was one night where someone was blasting music in the alley (not sure they were affiliated with the hotel) which made it very difficult to sleep. Really enjoyed the restaurant out near the beach - food was good and the service great. Also enjoyed the rooftop bar and drag show. I wish the pools were more well maintained. They did not seem inviting. The beach in front of the hotel was amazing, also with great service.

Unlikely what some friends staying next door thought, the rooms and roof top were clean, remodeled and well maintained. The food at the restaurant was fresh and tasty. Cannot get better for the money! Beach front, great views, awesome music at roof top bar, and great performances.

The staff was friendly and check-in was fast and easy. The price is high for what you get. We ipted for the master suite...one of the more expensive rooms and our patio was only partial ocean view. The rooms definitely need to be updated. There is also a minimum charge to sit in the chairs at the beach club. That should be included for anyone staying at the hotel. Overall, fun experience. The shows at night need to be different nightly instead of the exact same. The shrimp tacos and quesadillas were on point! Fun experience but will likely stay elsewhere next time.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, making it easy to relax and get a great night’s sleep. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating throughout our visit. A special mention goes to the lady at the front desk when we arrived around 3:00 PM—she was incredibly helpful, professional, and made us feel welcome from the moment we checked in. Her excellent customer service really set the tone for our stay. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to others. We would happily stay here again in the future.

The staff was very attentive. They made us feel like we’d been there many times instead of just being our first. The beach view was great. Front row seating everyday!!!! The food was so good we rarely went anywhere else.
