Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Terrell

No where to park at night lot filled up with big trucks. Bathroom wall has black mold growing and rooms smell of must and mold. Picked this hotel cause of indoor all year pool and the pool was closed the entire trip.

Pool was closed. Only reason we picked to stay here. Cancelled our room and went to a hotel with an open pool!!

Only thing not working properly was the elevator

The pool was out of service.

Our first night we received a heavy rain and our first floor room flooded. The staff was was sympathetic and moved us to a higher floor. We stayed two more nights however the.morning of our check out , the elevator broke down and we had to carry all of luggage down the stairs.

Check in process was great! This hotel was good for one night! The gym and pool were closed for maintenance. The breakfast needs help! The pancake machine was down, no other options for waffles or pancakes, the cooler was out of service, no milk other than what was sitting out on the counter. Drink machine only apple juice and water working, most of the other food was out, waited 15 min before any new food was put out and others were complaining also..

Quiet and comfortable. Elevator was VERY slow but that was the only inconvenience.

Drove half an hour out of the way for the indoor pool and it’s closed for construction. Room is nasty and phone doesn’t even work to call the front desk.

Average place showing some of its age. Pool wasn't working, door wasn't working, wall ac units. 1 of 2 ladies up front were very nice.

Hotel smelled a little old and musty. Mattress was worn out. Probably the slowest elevator ever. Breakfast Buffett was mediocre at best.

Property is clean

The staff was excellent. The first room they put me in. It smelled so bad I could not stand in there. I had to request another room the second room they put me in smelled but not as bad as the first room the bed sink to the way down where I had to sleep at the end of the bed there’s a piece of tile in the bathroom that I did not know was lifted up and when I walked in there in the middle of the night, I had kicked it with my foot so then I had to put a towel or root, so I wouldn’t do that again. I also found three or four roaches in the bathtub. I actually took one roach and put a couple over it so they could see it when they came into clean. The hotel needs upgraded really bad on the inside the rooms it is way outdated.

Love everything about this place from the staff, to the cleanliness and the breakfast options! I will stay here again!!!

Although this is an older hotel, it was clean and comfortable. It had received damage from a very recent tornado and our room on the third floor had a leaking window. A musty small was beginning to show up, and I’m sure the management is taking steps to get issues corrected and make improvements along the way. The staff was very kind and helpful, and breakfast was delicious and the breakfast area very clean!

Black mold in the ceiling above the shower. The tub/shower faucet was broken and leaked water to both the tub and the shower simultaneously.

The room is adequate for its purpose. This is not a vacay destination. It’s more of a road-trip sleep stop and this works for that. There are a couple of dining options within walking distance and it’s right on the highway so it’s convenient. The hotel could use updates.

The staff seemed friendly and efficient, but the condition of the room left a lot to be desired. Water from the shower faucet has obviously been leaking behind the wall for quite some time. There is clearly rot and damage to the wall surrounding the tub. Also, wi-fi service was nonexistent in my room, which was near the end of a hall. That is inexcusable in this day and age.

Breakfast staff was excellent all days. But one of my two rooms had 32 or 40 inch TV. That was so disappointing. Hotel too cheap to put lager TVs in all rooms. How can they overlook that. Also, there was only 2 luggage carts at the hotel with 4 floors; again that’s stupidity in their management. Especially during holidays.

AC dripped and bathroom door did not close due to raised tile floor.

The furniture was outdated and there were dead bugs in the windows with spider webs!

The room had a very strong odor of bug spray, to the point I had to keep spraying body spray throughout our stay. The people above us were maybe practicing for the 50yard dash all night long. There is one very thin blanket but it doesn’t get very cold even with the AC on 60 and high. Other than that it was ok. We skipped breakfast. We had the jetted tub room that was nice. This is my 3rd hotel in Terrell and it will be 2nd best on my list now. Staff was super friendly. Small parking lot. over looks the outlet stores. Elevator was a little sketchy took the stairs on the way out.

Room was clean but had a couple holes in the wall that was kinda repaired the beds are missing bed skirts. But room served our purposes for the night.

The room was huge and super quiet. We had cleaning service every day...yay!! The bed was good for a few nights stay but not the highest quality. The breakfast was awesome and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We won't hesitate to stay there next time we're in Terrell.

The staff was incredibly polite and helpful. The hotel itself was a bit dated and the rooms can be a bit loud. Breakfast was nice and they kept the property clean. It was convenient for my needs.

Bed and chairs were uncomfortable

We just needed the stay to avoid traveling home late at night after an event. We actually didn't get to check in until late, but the staff on duty was cheerful and kind, and the staff in the morning was cheerful and kind as well.

Did not remember her name at front lobby . She was very very wonderful, her personality was off the charts .

Staff was great at check-in, very friendly Hotel rooms could use a few updates (flooring) but my stay was short and sweet!

The check-in staff was nice and friendly. However, there was some confusion about the room I had reserved and paid for. Apparently, it was not available due to a wedding party. They placed us in a handicap room that was not up to the standards we are used to. We have stayed at this hotel in the past and been pleased.

The desk help was amazing. Very helpful. Must give a shout out to Elisa, Jennifer and Angela for helping us with our needs while being super friendly. Breakfast was yummy too.

The hotel itself was very nice. The room was very well kept and the bed was extremely comfortable. The young lady that checked me in was very sweet and took excellent care of everything.

They were allowing a barbecue party to take place under our window in the parking lot. They would not give us a refund when we requested it and we were only an hour into our stay. It appeared to be blood on the drapes and something else gross on the lampshade. There were people in the parking lot that were clearly not at all sober but they eventually drove away.

Enjoyed the location of the Hotel. Walking distance to shopping center, restaurant and a dance hall.

I liked the cleanliness of the propery and the decor. Someone was playing loud music from the parking lot so that was distracting.

Good breakfast. Comfortable bed, quiet room/ the area just seems like a lot of business has moved out. Worked well for an overnight stay.

This place was AWESOME! We stayed the night cause my child had an appt at the children’s hospital in Dallas the next morning. We chose this hotel because it’s a holiday inn, so I knew it would be clean and decent, and it would have a bit higher standards than some of the other “value” hotels, also.. it has an indoor pool and since it is January, my kids and husband and I LOVED the idea! We didn’t wanna spend a fortune, but having a safe and clean place to stay was the most important factor. I actually had points from hotels.com that brought the nightly price down by $30-40 off regular rate. This hotel was amazing! The hallways, elevator, and our room all smelled wonderful! (Like a mixture of a good, clean smell, and a really nice air freshener or candle smell!) Everything was spotless clean as well! Both the pool and hot tub were fantastic on a chilly 30 degree night and my family had such a great time! The shower water pressure was AMAZING, hot water was immediate and lasted more than long enough for all 4 of us to wash up after coming up from swimming, and the convenient snack machines were great for a late night snack! The lobby downstairs had fresh ice water available 24/7. They served a FULL buffet of amazing breakfast options in the morning as well! 10/10 recommend this place! Best hotel I’ve ever stayed at so far! Also… The front desk lady was such a sweetheart! (Wish I would have gotten her name!)

Very clean property and quiet area. There was a party downstairs but the noise was manageable and polite staff. Hands down one of the best breakfast options in town! Try the omelette and biscuits..... delicious

Service was great! Room was comfortable. Sign on the main door said “Pool temporarily closed”, which is part of the reason why we stayed there since it was an indoor pool, but if you go back through several reviews, it’s been closed for months now. Nothing listed on hotels.com about it being closed. Also, if you plan to leave the hotel before 7am on the weekends, don’t plan on getting breakfast(the other reason why we stayed there; it looks amazing!) because it won’t be available, but you will be charged the same rate. I would definitely stay somewhere else/cheaper if you would like to access those amenities. I used my reward night that was worth a certain amount thinking we would have those amenities, so a little disappointed about that. The hallway was loud until 3:00am of rude people too, so didn’t get much sleep either. Also could hear the Tejano bar’s music/bass with the inside event they had going on.

Great location to the Silver Saloon. So convenient! Breakfast was really good!
