Check in and check out was super fast & easy. Breakfast was included, it was nice and the breakfast area was nice and warm. The room was alright, kept us warm and beds were okay. We were out most of the day and were only in our rooms in the evenings so no complaints there. Although the towels looked like they've seen better days. Limited parking spaces, so will most likely have to look for parking if accommodation is busy & fully booked. Other than that everything else was good.

Accomodations are nice however this place needs an elevator if youre on the 2nd or 3rd floor due to the amount of stairs you have to climb. Carrying luggage up those stairs is painful. Staff friendly and helpful. Serious let down would be the parking. Only has approx 30 spaces so if you cannot get one you have to park on the street and walk up the hill/ street and it is a very steep driveway which is seriously tiring, driveway has alot of big potholes and there is not much room to get through if people have parked down 1 side of the driveway.

The room itself was clean and relatively well-appointed (coffee/tea/kettle/TV/fridge all very welcome surprises). I was quite surprised there was no hand soap in the bathroom, however. It’s not that long since Covid! The communal area and communal kitchen were absolutely filthy - to the point that I regretted not just spending the extra money to dine in town. While I appreciate that guests are largely to blame for this, the surfaces seemed like they hadn’t been cleaned properly in some time. This lodge also suffers from a serious noise problem. A lot of guests don’t seem to be able to keep their voices down, and the room itself was extremely noisy because of this.

Parking. Not sure how the city let's this lodge to operate. The facility has about 94 rooms and inly about 40 parking spaces. Folks have to find off premises parking in the street..The lodge itself is dirty, mold infested. Would stay away.

Location to go to the town is very close , Noise is very bad i can hear people talking outside the room even our room is close and our room is in below people above us we can heard them walking like fast its disturb our sleep . Location is very convenient, short walk to the Skyline gondola & 10 minutes walk to RealNz Milford sound coach bus pick up. 15 minutes to downtown area. The place is outdated, the carpet is super dirty, lucky we brought our own sleepers, there was coffee stain on our blanket, informed the receptionist & house cleaning but nothing done , was hoping they change for us ! The washroom was clean, would be nice if they put some hooks inside for towels ! The provide body wash but no shampoo or conditioner, need to bring your own,

It was necessary to go up and down stairs to reach the room, as well as the breakfast room. The toilet in the bathroom would not flush. The lights outside the room which the blinds did not cut out made it difficult to sleep. Also the bed mattresses were quite thin. The double bed was narrow so I used the spare bed. It was not possible to see tvnz1 or tvnz2 on the television. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was easy to park outside the accommodation.

The lodge is definitely a bit tired and run down even the staff try to do a good job of cleaning it but there are many broken/faulty items around the place. The breakfast included although very basic (cereal & toast) was ok. In hindsight As an older couple this was probably not the best choice for us especially arriving on New Year’s Eve when there were many groups of youngsters hanging around on the balconies drinking and playing music. To be fair to the staff they do try hard to police the no noise after 10pm policy but I think they were fighting a losing battle. After new year thing’s definitely quietened down. If you’re less mobile I would not recommend as it is at the top of a long very steep driveway, we got a taxi back from town on 2 occasions rather than walk up. All in all I’d say great for anyone under 25 but not for more mature people.

disappointed. Not hygienic at all. i didn't expected this at all and would not come again and wont recommend to use this website at all. The heater didn't worked at all and bedsheets and blankets are very dirty, even though washrooms are very bad. even management didn't fixed heater even though we complained about it.

Some reviewers seem to be rather unrealistic about Reavers, rating it lower yet I found it reasonable for the price. I had a soft bed - prefer harder but that is luck of the draw. The room was tidy, clean and satisfactorily appointed. En suite was clean and had good shower water pressure. Room servicing upon request was okay as I really don't need a fresh towel every day! The continental breakfast included was fine - no juice but good coffee. Staff were friendly and helpful though the office seemed to be unmanned quite often. Great location in town and awesome views - photo was from outside my door.

Great staff & unexpected breakfast & coffee. Best value I could find in overpriced Queenstown. Shame about inconsiderate noisy guests coming in till early hours & talking loudly while walking all though building & even some standing outside rooms talking on telephone at 1am = poor nights sleep.

Fair value for the property. Queenstown ‘cultural’ hub and lakefront are a 20 min. walk away. Leave vehicle parked at Reavers to avoid downtown parking hassles. Save energy for the final 150 m steep uphill walk to this hotel.

The lodge is definitely a bit tired and run down even the staff try to do a good job of cleaning it but there are many broken/faulty items around the place. The breakfast included although very basic (cereal & toast) was ok. In hindsight As an older couple this was probably not the best choice for us especially arriving on New Year’s Eve when there were many groups of youngsters hanging around on the balconies drinking and playing music. To be fair to the staff they do try hard to police the no noise after 10pm policy but I think they were fighting a losing battle. After new year thing’s definitely quietened down. If you’re less mobile I would not recommend as it is at the top of a long very steep driveway, we got a taxi back from town on 2 occasions rather than walk up. All in all I’d say great for anyone under 25 but not for more mature people.

Check in and check out was super fast & easy. Breakfast was included, it was nice and the breakfast area was nice and warm. The room was alright, kept us warm and beds were okay. We were out most of the day and were only in our rooms in the evenings so no complaints there. Although the towels looked like they've seen better days. Limited parking spaces, so will most likely have to look for parking if accommodation is busy & fully booked. Other than that everything else was good.

You get what you post for, is what most people say. We stayed with my wife and 2 young kids (6 and 9) The room was No7 downstairs at the front. It was a Sunday night so not that loud, the walls are thin the ensuite small, but it was clean and the wall heater worked. The shattered Kitchen is as bad as others say.. to the extent that I would just say it does nit have one, but if desperate then give it a try. The Continental Breakfast is not really what you would expect one to be. It is A Selection of 4 cereals (weetbix, cornflakes, muesli and cocopops) Yogurt 3 fruits salad Milk Tea/Coffee Cordial And toast (Peanut Butter, Vegemite, jam and marmalade) In the end I would say that it was satisfactory and YES I would stay there again I’m sure there are worse places around, but $124 for 4 people with breakfast in Queenatown was a pretty good deal

The location of this accommodation is very easy and convenient to get into the main area of Queenstown. Although there is a steep road to get to the property, the walk is about 10 minutes which makes getting to the shops very easy. Other than location and the nice view of the mountains, this accommodation is quite poor. The noise level from other rooms and people walking by is ridiculously high so do pack earplugs. The walls and ceiling are paper thin and you can hear everything. The other disappointment was the breakfast, although it is included with the stay, I was highly underwhelmed. Very limited selection and no fresh fruit options or juice, just 3 cereals and some toast with tea and instant coffee. Lastly is the photos do not accurately represent the current state of the property. The common area and dining/breakfast area photos are very different to the reality. It’s more run down and dirty than the photographs. This is a good place to stay on a low budget and if cleanliness isn’t a priority, otherwise invest a few hundred more dollars and stay elsewhere.
